Came in for dinner before a show around the corner at the Curran with some friends. We gave ourselves exactly an hour to eat which should have been plenty of time. We ended up getting our entrees after about a 25 minute wait (and gap between our drinks and naan) and after having to beg various servers to hurry up so we could get out of there on time. We ended up having about 10 minutes to eat our meals.

FAIL.

Never again.

Food is good average Thai.

Charging $1.50 for a Coke and then another $1.50 for a refill (especially when you have a fountain machine) should be illegal.

Despite living relatively close, I will not go to this place again.

This place needs some work.

Service was all over the place. We saw them pouring our sodas out of 2-liter bottles (which obviously meant no refills). They were out of iced tea (or out of Lipton tea from a bottle). Bread and oil were completely unoriginal and underwhelming (yeah I know it's just bread but something should be unique about it). My mushroom tortellini was nothing special and I don't think the pasta was actually cooked completely. Others in my party had the really good halibut special (which was in fact good) and the others had pasta dishes that were not that special.

I'm not sure I'd go back to this place. Maybe to try the pizza.

Great lunch spot if you're in the area. We were exhausted from making a big screen tv purchase at Best Buy and this place was nearby and convenient. They were ready to close so they were out of ciabatta bread, which I wanted but my chicken pesto was still good on wheat. The fries were especially tastey. Outdoor seating is a plus given that this neighborhood is usually sunny.

I'd definitely come back.... I wanna try the ciabatta! (and maybe give a 4th star).T

Service was a little spotty. Took longer than I would have liked to have our order taken but overall it was great. My sole was delicious and Dave said his lamb was good... wasn't on the bone which made it especially nice. The warm chocolately dessert thing was amazing and reason enough to make a return visit. Love this neighborhood... great dinner spot.

We hit up the Wine Bar[n] recently while staying at the Glendeven Inn during an amazing weekend stay. We popped in for happy hour to meet the adorable and ridiculously sweet innkeeper John. He introduced us to some amazing Anderson Valley wines including on Chenin Blanc so good I had him ship a case to my sister in Michigan.

Cute space, friendly service, delicious wine... I'm pretty sure the wine barn is open to everyone, not just staying at the Inn, so if you're in Mendocino you should check it out! I bet John will even let you play with his llamas and chickens.

I am obsessed with the crispy basil chicken. I mean OB. SESSED. so effing tastey. I always get that and either the cashew chicken or whatever other chicken dish looks good.

I just wish I could get out of there without spending $10+ for lunch.

CONDUIT

Ooooooh I don't know. I can't help but feel a little disappointed with Conduit. There was a LOT of hype built up for me from friends and when it was all said and done the food, the service and the experience seemed pretty average (for San Francisco at least).

Everyone told me how delicious, inventive and original their cocktails are. Based on this the three in my party picked out a cocktail... even though there seemed to be too many with bourbon, gin and other kinds of liqueur that I don't really like.

Anyway... we ordered... our server brought them... and after a few minutes of taste testing we realized he had switched them all up. It took us a few minutes (and we needed to look at the menu) but we got them figured out.

Why does this sum up my experience?  There was so much hype built up about the cocktails that just a simple mistake by the server screwed it up.

To top it off, we ordered a bottle of wine but they didn't have it chilled... so they brought it up with a bucket of ice and had to chill it at our table. It never reached the right temperature so it was pretty ridiculous too.

I don't even remember the food at this point... it was fine but they couldn't really recover from the cocktail and wine snafu's.  Maybe it was just a fluke of a night but I'm not sure I'll be rushing back anytime soon.
