The sauce here is pretty good, and the prices are good, but over all it is an unmemorable dining experience, in my opinion. My family used to get food from here a lot when I was a kid, and I can't help feeling like we all think it used to be better.
The family atmosphere is nice and when I walked in last night and heard some little kid agreeing with his dad that it was "the best spaghetti and meatballs ever" I was excited, maybe a little too overzealous because I got spaghetti and meatballs, which were just ok..
I was with two other people, one of whom is a vegetarian and eggplant parm connoisseur of sorts (or likes to think so) but had it here before and disliked it, so he ordered a specifically meatless dish and also mentioned to the waiter he wanted to make sure the sauce was meatless too. He, alas, found meat in his sauce that looked like it had just fallen in... this restaurant was probably not the right place for him.
The third person had raviolis, which were fine but unmemorable.
I guess I just like SOMETHING to make an Italian dining experience memorably good and there was nothing that impressive to me here.
Bob's Price Rite is inexpensive and has all the basic corner store needs, for last minute shoppers like myself who plan dinner day by day at times.
BUT what makes this place fantastic is the in house deli / butcher. They have great prices that can be depended on all the time, and great cold cuts. I buy a lot of the meat for my place here, and all of our cold cuts except occasionally, and usually when I go somewhere else I wish I just stuck with Bob's.
Small produce selection, but luckily Guercio's is right around the corner. Between here and Guercio's you can find MOST of the stuff you would need from a larger grocery store, I recommend it and it's a must if you live in the neighborhood or shop at Guercio's anyway.
All of their pots of tea are only 3 dollars each. They are really the only place I can think of that has a pretty varied selection of pots of tea in the area too, since True Teas closed. They had some yummy sounding sandwiches including the one I tried, which was an eggplant panini.
We need more places like this on Grant street, and it's in a great location too - right near Guercio's and Frontier. The last few places that were open on this corner did not last long but I have a feeling Sweetness 7 will do better.
I spent a couple hours there not noticing it pass chatting with friends and it was great.
I wish they were open later! The reason I hadn't gone sooner is because I usually do tea/ coffee time with friends in the evening, but I am planning on going today again because I fell in love with it last week.
Everyone should go here so they get enough business to stay open later!!!
Everyone who works there is super sweet, the atmosphere is good and it's really quiet and there is more space there to study usually then a lot of coffee shops.
The tea selection is unfortunately not nearly as good as their coffee selection, but that goes for most places around here.

The previous reviews explain a lot of it, the sandwhiches, salads, and soups are all fantastic - I've never had one I didn't like. The baked goods are also great, and though I've never made use of their deli I have bought some odd spices or other gourmet foods there in a jam, and the selection is interesting and fun.
The massage therapist I had was Lori, and I got a one hour pregnancy massage for only $50! Which is a really great rate, considering how expensive massages can get. She was really friendly and made me feel totally comfortable, and gave me an incredible massage. Even though she was gentle I could tell she was massaging me a lot deeper then most massages I have had, and I was really happy with it.
She concentrated on my neck/shoulders and lower back as this was where I told her I was having problems... and all of them so far feel much better. I just had the massage today, and it's clear I still probably need to see a chiropractor for my neck (there's only so much a massage can do) but she helped hold me over for awhile until I can see my ob about a chiropractor and if it would be ok to go to one.
I will definitely be back there, probably next month.

Also, the staff was ridiculously sweet and I wanted to hug them all and ask them to come live with me.
The atmosphere was great... and oh man! The DESSERT... Yes, apparently raw vegan desserts do exist and they were so delicious I can't even conceptualize how you can make raw vegan brownies and pecan pies but they are incredible.
Unless you like super busy/ or meat filled food it's a great experience, even for a non-veggie like me.
I am not as big of a pops fan as a classical fan, but Robert Franz our pops conductor is really funny, and has the perfect demeanor to conduct most of the family series concerts.
This year I even went to concerts I had to pay for like the Video Games Live! Performance, which was AMAZING. Also, I got to experience a lot more classical concerts then your average 20 something usually does. I have to say, like all good music classical is much better live.
Since working for the BPO I've fallen in love, and I can say no matter where I live I will be a classical fan, and hope that I always am somewere with as talented an orchestra as Buffalo has.
Maybe I can talk about Katherine's truly Magical Matte - which has made me look at matte in another light, when blended with lemongrass and fresh ginger.
Maybe I can tell you of the perfectly intellectually stimulating environment, as I sit and drink my pot of complex and subtle white tea debating heavily over health care reform with a patron sitting at the table next to my friend and I comments on the tea choices, and on our witty repertoire.
But really, nothing I can tell you will express how much I love Tru-teas. With the widest variety of loose leaf tea in the city (The aforementioned Shango gets their supply here), vegan-veggie friendly lunches and delicious organic desserts.. this little tea house makes every coffee house in Buffalo look bland and conservative in comparison.
If you have ever agreed with any of my reviews, and the above sounds good, go to Tru-teas. You will be completely delighted. It is above and beyond just being good tea and delicious food.

Before going to Nurser midwifery of WNY I was a patient at two different Ob/Gyns and was unimpressed with them. I really wanted a say in how my child birth would go, and though I have not given birth yet, so far all three of the midwives here have been fantastic.
I highly reccomend them, and think we're really lucky to have them in Buffalo. I've gotten to know all three of the midwives and will feel comfortable having any of them attend my birth. I have had one "emergency" phone call (an allergic reaction that led me to the hospital) and they were really responsive and helpful. They also have been great at all my office visits, with low wait time and usually only one other person in the waiting room. They have helped me make my birth plan a lot more manageable.
I definitely would have the next baby with them too if I'm still in Buffalo, and that's the best recommendation I can give!
After my baby girl is born in a few weeks I'll make sure to add some about birthing!
