Tony is a hero. He's come to our rescue a number of times. He's always prompt, does good work, and his rates are super reasonable. He's also got a great sense of humor!
This is my favorite restaurant in Alameda. Great food, great beer, great service. Live music. Patio with umbrellas!

This place is great. Amy and I stopped in once on the way to a party and asked Dan if he had any chilled Fino. He fished a bottle out of the back of his fridge saying "Not a lot of people ask for Fino -- I keep this chilled for myself."

These are the best bagels I have found in the Bay Area.

The drinks are excellent. My cocktail bias is strongly Paul Harrington-infulenced classic cocktail revival purist: primary booze, secondary booze, mixer (usually fresh squeezed citrus), accent. This place is opening my palate to sublime drinks with more than four ingredients.
The Monkey Pod, a sublime concoction of rum, coconut, lime, and *tamarind* and mint gets my vote for inclusion in the canon of classic cocktails. (I'm a sucker for tamarind.)
