Big Blue Bus

Rapid 10.. I have to say that the quality of this bus has diminished. If you are going against traffic, for the most part your bus will be on time but if you are going with traffic then prepare to add +/- 15 mins to your wait time. What bothers me is that this bus is CLEARLY over the limit of people they can legally have in a bus but they still pack them in like sardines. I think they need to add more busses during rush hour so people can sit during crazy hour long traffic to downtown LA. It's not safe having people stand while a bus is on the freeway for more than an hour. Plus with all those people they SHOULD turn on the AC or something.. it gets so hot and smelly inside it's pretty gross.

However, there are always entertaining conversations that people talk about on the bus so that definitely makes the commute somewhat enjoyable.

If only the rail system finishes by this year...

I love the BBB.. I wish it goes further into east LA. I usually take the 1 to the pier from Yale st. Beats finding parking. Sometimes when I'm too lazy to drive I would take the 10 express to go to downtown LA. It takes me all the way to Union Station which I then use to transfer to another bus to go back home to Temple City. Such a perfect transportation method, beats sitting in traffic on Friday.

Oh.. you better be doing jumping jacks at the bus stop when the bus is coming at night because sometimes they decide to PASS you if you're not making enough motion. wtf.

I stay at this hotel since my work conference is hosted inside the hotel. The staff was really nice and the rooms were very clean. The elevators were really quick (unless there was a mob of people waiting to use it.. which happened while I was there) and having a conference inside this hotel was good. I think one of the good things about this place is that wifi is really easy to get access to no matter where. The rates were reasonable and the speed was ok. I remember a few instances that my internet cut out and that kind of sucked but all in all it was worth it.

The restroom walls are paper thin so if you plan on sharing with someone you can hear everything. The restroom doors are sliding so you can't really lock it either.

Walking to market street was really easy so taking the bart to this hotel is ideal. The only thing that is open late near this hotel is a Dennys and Million Thai restaurant that is close by.

I leave the crappy Terminal 3 from LAX and step into Terminal 2 at SFO and was completely blown away. This Terminal has lots of space, comfortable chairs, Free Wifi, lots of outlets to charge your phone/laptop AND clean restrooms. I think I even saw a Yoga room. WOW!

Lots of food options also so I think this could easily rank as a top 10 in the U.S.

This place is super pricey for Udon noodles, but for some reason on a Thursday cold afternoon in SFO it sure hit the spot. My total for a Beef udon, seaweed, and a tea cost $18. Luckily for me this was expensed by my company. I also liked the fact it was in the cool new Terminal 2 and had lots of spaces to eat.

I didn't really know what to expect when I saw that Pearl's Deluxe opened another location on Market St. I went to the original one last year and it quickly made it to my top 5 burger places. This place definitely didn't disappoint. The burgers were really juicy and the Spries were amazing. (Sweet potato fries and fries together). Compared to Super Duper this place definitely beats it. Their burgers aren't super oily and it fills you up really good. The staff were super nice too so Pearls remains on my top burger spot. Too bad the surrounding area is a bit... sketch.

This place is pretty good. The only thing I really don't like is the fact that the burgers were covered in grease. The staff was really nice, the meat was juicy, the garlic fries were amazing, and the combo deal cost only $10 for everything. For that price and a burger it definitely deserves a 4 stars.

This place is definitely on the pricey side, but I liked the fact that both times I came I didn't wait that long to be seated. The one thing I like a lot about this place is all the dishes comes out HOT. Even the egg tarts were hot so that definitely gives it a bump up in stars. Sometimes the push cart items have been sitting there for who knows how long so getting items hot makes a huge difference in taste. You just have to be careful what you order because it could be a lot. Also the portion for dim sum is pretty big.. like the siu mai and har gow were big pieces.

This is my second time eating here and both times we ordered too much food.

I just ate this place for lunch today after passing by many times. Got their lunch special for $5.99 which was basically just a choice with rice, fried wontons and salad. I got the red curry which was pretty tasty and came with lots of beef. Also got a Thai iced tea (boba) for $1.99 which was b1g1 free but the lady forgot to put in boba.

There were a lot of people at the restaurant during lunch and they don't have that many tables so if you plan to eat there expect some wait. It also looked like one person was doing everything there including taking orders on the phone, taking orders from dine-in customers and serving drinks. I know that we were put on hold for a while before they took our order on the phone. However, they said 20 mins and it was right on time when we got there.

All in all it was good price for lunch for a tasty curry. The dressing for the salad came out funky and I thought it had gone bad but after taking a bite it was good.

Would I go back? Possibly, but with Yoshinoya next door it's hard to compete.

I took my cousin who was from out of town to hike this. It was actually pretty easy to get to and the hike itself was really quick. I googled hollywood sign hike and this site provided great info http://hollywoodsigntr.../. I would just suggest going early because it gets really hot towards noon and watch out for poop and snakes because I almost stepped on both. haha..

Came here last night since everything else lost power around SGV. The pictures looked sooooo good but when the bowl came, the noodle was so bland. The soup base was delicious and the wonton and fish balls were amazing but come on.. noodles need to have some flavor. The veggies were pretty good too but I think they must've boiled the veggies in the same water as the noodles because you can tell because of the texture.

The server started speaking to us in mandarin and as we finished dinner she spoke completely in cantonese.

Next time I come I would just get the soup. I don't think I'm a big fan of the noodles but maybe it's just me because I eat too salty.
