The menu is literally a tome of delicious Belgian beers. I'm not your typical beer fan and I'm kinda uppity when it comes to beers. But oh man, La Trappe has been one of the most satisfying beer experiences in my entire life. A Belgian beer hall in the middle of SF like this, is one not to miss.

Would it be a hole in the wall? Would it be an upscale fine Mexican-fusion dining establishment? Would it be another Taco Bell? Our answers were solved the second we pulled up and saw the front. It was great. It was a mix of everything. The food was expertly prepared by our friend and his bros. And it was delicious. Damn delicious.
Family-run through and through, you'll be taken care of at Lopez Restaurante. Pick spicy, sweet, or a combination -- Lopez Restaurante has it all.
I got the prawns. Prawn tacos. Yeah. Tell Luis "Go Bears" from Berkeley and I'm sure you'll be treated like a king.

Totally something for everyone. Slightly pricey, but that comes with the neighborhood. Good coffee, local feel. Pleasant inside!
I've been here three times in three years, and every time I go, I forget -- not a very diverse crowd, everyone is ultra-white (with your occasional asian person here and there); needless to say, the lack of diverse audience doesn't prevent the food nor environment from bein' fine.

Tasty for sure. The environment is hip. The price prevents it from being a regular spot, but it can easily be a "take-to-impress" location. Not romantic at all really, but definitely happenin'.
Sit outside with the heat lamps. And if you're a dessert fan, don't miss their dessert menu for the cake.

Don't get me wrong. This place is good. But if you're seekin' Ethiopian perfection, make the trek to Cafe Colucci in Oakland.

Sit outside for some real European-style musical performers if you're lucky, then wander over to a patch of grass in Union Square for a pleasant afternoon after lunch. :]
