My family and I have stayed in this log home apartment several times. It was much better than we expected - the space worked perfectly for us. It is practically brand new and felt like our own cozy escape. The wood is BEAUTIFUL. It is a 10-minute walk or 2-minute drive to anything in the village (a new experience for New Yorkers). The kitchen is wonderfully social. It was especially nice to have free wifi, a dishwasher, washer and dryer. There is a big closet. And there's parking for several cars. It is about a 25-minute drive to Dartmouth or Killington. The Belisles were very hospitable and provided all sorts of sound advice. We've since had friends stay there and they said they enjoyed it as well. We wouldn't recommend it for more than 4 people. But this place would work very well for a romantic getaway, a small family escape, a girls weekend or for a small group of friends.
If you want a fantastic choice of burgers while enjoying the game amongst the locals (50% are Yankee fans, 50% are Red sox fans), this is a great choice. My handmade burger tasted incredible and was cooked exactly as I wish. Friendly, nice staff. I joined 4 friends and we had a ball. A little noisy but that's what you get for a good time.

Excellent, reliable and consistent pub fare. Casual vibe. I've had the burgers and cheesesteak several times. Wife says the veggie burger is agreeable, too. Family friendly. Great spot to take the tourists. The beer sampler is a very cool experience.
The pub is where it's at. Fantastic food and friendly, unselfish service. Charming, consistent and quintessential Vermont establishment. New, different dinner specials which seem to fit the season. Very friendly to vegetarians but only "off" the menu. Ok for family but better for romantic dates. Funny that nobody eats in the dining room anymore - you should walk in the entrance on the South side. Thank goodness it's a great experience because there are very few choices in this neck of the woods.

Per my wife - a great crunchy vibe. Laissez-faire chill people. Highly health focused. Diverse health food brand options but the prices are just a tad bit high. Clearly has a tight, dedicated community. Good ties to the local publish which is quite local/natural/organic food-centric. We frequent there enough that both UVCP and Woodstock's Farmers Market are both called "Mommy's favorite store" by our little ones.

Woodstock's greasy spoon - and arguably the best greasy spoon in New England. 12 seats at the counter, total. Its been here for at least 30 years. You can't help sense that you're taking in the true local experience. And while the breakfast eggs and pancakes are incredible staples, have Jill make you something special because when she has creative freedom you'll always be pleasantly surprised. The lunch is equally good. The atmosphere is practically part of a TV set, the company often includes a perfect Vermont accent and the butter always flows. Open early mornings (usually) until 2:00pm. And to top the quaintness of it all, you only know it's open when they have the "open" flag up, outside.

This restaurant is an exquisite dinner for any foodie - vegetarian or omnivore. One of the best in Vermont. Perfect for date nights, this is one of my wife's favorites. Every course is an adventure. And while its casual I think many dress up a little. Sit near the fireplace for atmosphere. Personal attention - excellent service. Just save some energy for the ride home.
Brilliant to find this here. A favorite swimming hole of days gone by. The water is only warm enough in... well, let's just say its refreshing.

Nick and friends run a most excellent shop. Great atmosphere and very smart advice. Love the tastings. I even hired the crew to lead a corporate wine tasting and they rocked it. Yeah, I'm a "sipster."

The atmosphere, caffeine libations and food are wonderful and consistent. Despite not being a coffee drinker, I found they have numerous tea and juice options. The seats are plenty and comfortable. The food is fresh and primarily local, as I can tell. You can go here to meet friends or clients - or just to relax. I've never been disappointed.
They also "get it" - and the service is with a smile.
