Coffee and Crepes is a little coffee joint (plus crepes!) in the sprawling Crossroads shopping center. On the day of our visit I decided to try a popular item, the Raspberry Chicken crepe, which contains chicken, spinach, ricotta, diced tomato, and melted cheddar. It's topped with a drizzle of raspberry preserves and a sprinkling of walnuts. It comes with a nice spring mix salad on the side with a vinegarette dressing.

I appreciated the whole wheat option but I was left with the feeling that I would have loved my crepe a lot more had I gone straight to dessert - the banana nutella crepe sounded amazing.

For lunch today Tandoor had no menu to order from, the only option was the buffet. A buffet is always a bad way to judge a restaurant, since it is usually lackluster and lukewarm. The buffet here was not too bad, nor especially good. Options included a tasty tikka masala with firm, nicely marinated chunks of chicken, naan, dal, cabbage strips, tandoori chicken chunks (hubs said they were not good), zucchini chicken, and 2 or 3 other items. The naan was plain and not crispy chewy but just dry. One of the better items was the saag (creamed spinach and chickpeas) although all of dishes seemed to be completely devoid of spiciness. The buffet also included salad, chutney, and a few other fresh-looking condiments. I did enjoy trying the desserts. Kheer was a tasty version of tapioca pudding, and the other dessert was what my google searching leads me to think was gulab jamun. A donut hole like thing soaked in a cold sweet sauce.

Dominic's was just what the hungry work lunch crowd needed on a sunny Friday.  Once we eyed the cheesy white pizza with ribbons of spinach and chunks of tomato, all three of us had to try a slice as part of the lunch special.  Despite that already tasty combination of toppings, it was really the fresh garlic, mozzarella and feta which put it over the top for me.  I also had a slice of pepperoni - the special was $6 or so for two slices and a soda.  Both pieces of pizza were thin crust, with that nicely crunchy NY style pizza bottom, but the peices are flappy so you can fold them in half if you'd like.  The sauce is pure tomato, not too sweet and not spicy.

We were shocked at the selection of over 100 items at this brand new Chinese buffet. Aside from many tables of Chinese and some traditional American foods, there is a sushi bar and a hibachi station where you choose your own ingredients a la Crazy Fire. Plus of course a salad bar including chilled shrimp, and two dessert tables plus an ice cream area. And for $6.95 for lunch on a Saturday! The Pit has a great blend of modern and historic flair to the interior, plus a nice patio. Our table of 8 seemed to enjoy their food, with the most raves going to the grouper salad and the fried chicken. Ironically most agreed the pulled pork was bland and the mac and cheese was as well. I enjoyed my crispy sweet potato fries, and the homemade baked beans with a lightly flavored accompaniment. The gratis apps of hush puppies and biscuits were both a little crisp and dry. The special mojito on the menu was a disaster.

I had some french toast with a side of sausage, but also snacked on my Mom's scrapple because I was too nervous to order it for myself. It was tasty, like a mushy version of corned beef. My french toast was tasty and the service here was quick and efficient. You also won't go wrong if you try one of the baked goods sitting in the case by the register. We tried a coffee cake laced with some lemon filling. Give this place a try for a filling and tasty meal at a great price.

Nudy's is a favorite of my Mom and my sister, so they arranged to bring me here rather than my stand-by favorite King Street Grille when I recently visited town. I normally require that they bring me to King Street and they are sick of this! King Street has one of the best Eggs Benedict I've had in my life! But on to Nudy's. Nudy's has about 4 locations and this Exton one seems to be newer than those in the Main Line (and perhaps less polished?). Main line locations have an excellent reputation for quality breakfasts.

The waiter brought us bread with a balsamic vinegar and olive oil combination to dip it in. It also had garlic and cracked pepper and some red onion in it. The simple ingredients had just the right tang, and tasted incredibly fresh. For our started we ordered calamari, which was perfectly flash fried (light and crispy) with the most flavorful marinara to dip it in. Each element of the sauce came through, the red pepper, bold tomato, garlic and seasonings. It was perfect. We finished it all.

There is no question whether I'd go back - I look forward to learning which items on the menu are the true stars. No matter what you order, the preparation won't disappoint. I can't wait to have another bite of that amazing red sauce.

Of the selection of sandwiches I ordered the cannellini bean sandwich, made with a bean paste with a garlicy flavor, along with havarti cheese, tomato and spinach. I quite enjoyed my sandwich but not my choice of seasonal side, a clumpy and bland couscous. Hubby got a mushroom sandwich, which was ok, and others ordered an angus sandwich with brie (tasted like a cheesesteak, they said) and a mozzarella sandwich with pesto (tasty, using fresh mozzarella but also a bit bland). The boys liked the mashed potato sides. Glen's side dish of edamame salad was tasty, with mustard seeds, red onion and a light sauce. Our appetizers were just ok - a red pepper hummus everyone enjoyed and goat cheese, both served with pita triangles. I was hoping the goat cheese would be slightly more adorned or blended with herbs or even fried. It was just a hunk of goat cheese with a little red and black pepper sprinkled on.

We stopped in in the early afternoon and didn't have to wait for a table.  The menu had been calling out to me, but what to order?  Something with the fried green tomatoes?  Well I needed to try the biscuits for sure.

I ordered the country eggs benedict, a poached egg with country sausage patty on a biscuit with country gravy.  It was heavenly.  Mom ordered whole wheat french toast, which came with creme anglais and raspberry sauce drizzled on top.  The sauces on top reminded me of the two types of doughnut filling, raspberry and boston cream.
