i'm all about the maintenance. i don't just start taking care of things when they start breaking, i make sure they dont break. so yeah, having clear radiant skin all the time is key. getting the best facialist is a crucial part of that. I go to Deborah at Mary The Salon. My biggest fear used to be her retiring. in fact, i sometimes feel like i moved to nyc so i could leave her before she left me.  And for the first two years, i flew back every month to get a facial with her. I swear within 3 facials she can give you clear skin. At least she did for a few of my friends and me. And then on top of that she can help give you beautiful skin. The post facial recovery time with her is 3 days on average.

Nice N' Clean

if you're going to dry clean your clothes, dry clean them right. this place has been a  salvation for me bcs they are good bordering great and close to my home. ppl reccommended some sketchy places closer to the 'loin and i went to check those places out. i left with my clothes shaking. i feel good about leaving my clothes with this and stop worrying about whether a stain will come out of a dress bcs i know i've done all i can by taking it here. For alterations, i think their only limitation is jeans. They dont do the stitch for the cuff when you hem them. For most styles that would look unfinished.

This is the restaurant I measure all restaurants by. Even though often one could argue its an apples to oranges situation. Its just that this place is my absolute favorite place to eat at often. Everyone I take here i push the falafel wrap, either super or breakfast; bastilla, and lentil soup. They can be kind of weird with their hours. I think once they were closed for 3 weeks. We tried to follow the Muslim calendar to figure it out but it seemed they might have padded a few extra days on to the set holidays.

if you want great produce in the neighborhood, the proprietor here will set you straight. I cook a lot and I get almost everything from here. Definitely better than places like whole foods by far.

i cannot say enough good things about the Bar. this is the only thing ive ever done where ive actually seen a difference. they work every part of your body, and its like they train your muscles to spanx your body. if that makes sense. i quit equinox after i went here. bcs i went back to equinox (in SF) and asked the girls there if there were any classes as good as bar. and they were like "not really". so why pay the same price for something that doesn't work? Also, something about how you know its working and the way they design their studios just makes everyone there really nice and in a good mood. So thoughtful: they have toddler and infant care (seperately), hand santizer everywhere. you have to try it. if i was a dude, i'd probably only go out with girls that work out here.

When will the people discover you and treat you as the Queen you are? Mooncake is trying to be everything you should want in a restaurant: fresh, delicious while being healthy, good service, very value oriented, fast, and easy going. I have yet to encounter a full house there though their delivery business seems to be hopping. Its a shame because the waitresses there are probably the cutest and nicest ones in the neighborhood- possibly manhattan. Their menu seems small- but after going there three days in a row I still crave it. Anyone that lives within a 4 block radius and is looking for something quick, healthy, delicious should consider this the one stop. I've noticed in an attempt to seem hip a lot of restaurants on 9th blare their music louder than a club. Mooncake lets their quality speak for them.

Warm champagne. is never ok. and that's what they served
told the waitress and she was like, are you sure? as if warm champagne isn't as glaringly obvious as someone wearing fleece. as if she wasn't holding the bottle and new she didn't get it from a cold source.
she did nothing and since it was a work dinner we didn't really want to deal with discussing it any further.
I told the manager on staff when i had a second to- but all they did was send us some desserts.

They still charged us a couple hundred $$ for barely drinkable champagne.

The food is at best uninspired and contrived in your cheesecake factory way. My salmon was dressed in terriyaki sauce and the burger had a pathetic bun that made PopBurger look better. Oh wait- PopBurger is better.

This place is all about the show- which between the bad service (ie not addressing the champagne issue correctly) and food that won't cut it in NYC is down to the lavish concept/ decor.

Why isn't there a fuckedcompany for restaurants in NYC? I am guessing this place will flame out in less than year from its opening.

This store is all at once old school and sexy. Whenever you watch a movie that's a period piece and you wish you could get those little detail pieces - this place has them and you don't even have to wear used footwear. We're not just talking interesting baubles- Everything for sale there (socks , luggage, furniture, etc) are well thought out pieces that are perfectly constructed. I definitely didn't feel cool enough for anything in there,  because I am one of those people that wear my glasses out of laziness. But I am going definitely going there every time I am in the neighborhood- its that kind of eclectic place that is worth the time to browse.

I took Uber to the gym (Equinox) last week. And the experience is what gets 5 stars.

I understand right now the app is a little buggy- so definitely factor sometime in for that. But I refuse to take off any stars for that!

An amazing and thorough cleaning service. Andre always sends over girls that want to get the place clean and will find a way to do it. I had an old fan that one cleaner jimmied open cleaned and put back together. And they just keep cleaning in a quick fashion that they always have time to look for more things to clean. Like the wall molding, or way up on the windows where most people don't even think of. I trust this service to always send people that want to do a good and thorough job.
