The sushi was standard and the drunken noodles were actually pretty good, but the curry was below average. I think for the price, there are way better restaurants with higher quality food.
I wouldn't suggest this place unless I knew they were a fan of Americanized Asian food. Hey, sometimes even us Asians love Americanized Asian food, but only if it's absolutely delicious and worth the money....
I'm contemplating if I should give it 1 star or 2... I'll be nice and give 2 since even though the service was spotty, when they were actually there the servers were friendly.
But, that's all the good I can say... The service was meh. The food was DEFINITELY meh.
I came here last night for dinner and drinks with some friends. The service was really spotty and the food was just whateverrrrrrrrrrrrr. The chicken was dry... the $8 spinach salad was bland... the bruschetta was just chopped up unseasoned tomatoes on a piece of hard bread that I couldn't bite into.
blah. blah. blah.
I won't be back.

The food is still great (although not as memorable as my first visit - probably because this time we ordered off the dine LA menu). But, it took forever to get our waters refilled and to get our checks. Our server was nice, but she seemed preoccupied with god knows what... We were there for a late reservation and was one of the last tables left so it shouldn't have taken her a long time to take care of our check. Oh well... but, still the meal was great because of the food and company. I still highly recommend this place to anyone who hasn't tried it yet. It's an experience!

I've been wanting to eat here for such a long time and finally, I went last night with my best girlfriends for my bday dinner. I was so happy to have a wonderful experience with the people I love most. First, we waited at the bar (Bar Centro) with some drinks while the rest of the party arrived. Once our party was here and our table was ready, we were seated in the rojo section which had a clear view of the kitchen. We ordered more drinks and a pitcher of the red sangria, which was good because I tasted the wine and not the alcohol (if that makes sense...). One of my gfs were drinking dirty martini and she said they made it really well. I didn't have any, but I did try the liquid olive on the bottom of the glass. It was quite an experience, a good one!
The food was delicious! It is expensive for the amount of food and it will add up once you start piling on the different dishes, but it is so worth it! If you are not into tapas or innovative and interesting food, then this is not the place for you. The Philly cheesesteaks were definitely a favorite. The hangar steak was tender and mouthwatering. The jicama wrapped guacamole was surprisingly delicious. The lamb and veal cheeks were also very tender and good. The scallops and lobster medallions were a little salty, but still good. The shrimp was salty too, but you can taste the ever so wonderful garlic, so it was yummy! The mushrooms were seasoned very well, especially with the thyme. The mini foie gras burgers were delicious (I LOVE foie gras)! The miso linguine, however, was not so good. It was bland, only flavor it had was the salmon roe on top. The artichoke salad wasn't a big hit either.
All in all, the meal was wonderful and our waiter was very knowledgeable. I am definitely going to come back here again to try the many different items! I can't wait! I just have to save money and/or wait until I trick my friends into taking me. =P

I have to agree with the other yelpers on that the small plates were delicious, but the entrees were only average. For small plates, my gf and I got the following:
truffle arancini with lemon aioli - good, very flavorful
sonoma foie gras with cracked white pepper on brioche - how can you go wrong with foie gras?? loved it!
like a big mac - i thought it was good, but nothing spectacular. My gf LOVED this though (she's a huge big mac fan haha)!
sweetbread schnitzel - it was okay, i wouldn't order it again
We split the duck with cranberries as our entree and it was good, not great. The cranberries were too strong and it overpowered the duck. We also split the trio of lollipops for dessert (red wine, passion fruit and eggnog). The lollipops were really great - innovative and delicious!
Overall, I thought everything was good... just not great. I didn't wanna give 4 stars because the service was slow and the entrees didn't wow me. I do want to go back and try the other small plates though... and their cocktail menu looked fabulous.

We started off with a tuna tartare and smoked salmon and grilled ahi tuna with seared foie gras. I don't know why I got the tuna tartare, when MOST of the time I regret it. I'm so over the whole thing, but I caved and ordered it - which I ended up regretting. It was very mediocre and bland. I could've done without and was kicking myself that I didn't get the ravioli instead. Ohhhh welllllll.... The ahi tuna and foie gras was better than the tartare, but not by much. The only reason why this one was good was because of the seared foie gras, which was not a big piece. The rosti potato that was underneath the tuna and ahi was really salty and tough. Next, we got the cripsy black cod in a soup as a small plate and the pork tenderloin with mashed potatoes. The black cod was cooked nicely, but the broth definitely had more flavor than the cod. It reminded me of a Korean fish soup dish. I wish the soup was piping hot and came in a big bowl. The pork tenderloin was a little chewey but flavors were nice. The mashed potatoes actually tasted the best out of everything. It was really creamy and delicious. We had the chocolate crunch cake for dessert - decadent and delicious. If you like chocolate, you should defintely get this.
Overall, I've had better... The service was good and the space is charming. But, I wouldn't come back for dinner. I hear great things about brunch, so maybe I'll come back for that.

My friends and I got ordered a lot of food since we were starving! I knew we wouldn't finish even half of what we ordered, but at least we had leftovers! We ordered the following:
half order of "the mess" with chili - salty
crab and avocado benedict - really heavy, but that's why we order it right? haha
breakfast burrito - good, but became really good when it was reheated later, go figure...
crab melt w/ Portuguese sausage on the side - the sausage was great... i didn't try the crab melt, but I'm assuming it was good.
The portion sizes are really big, so remember that when ordering. The food is a bit above average, but coupled with the view and the fact that we only waited 30 minutes, I give it four stars (3.5 rounded up).
I don't know if I would wait around for an hour to eat here... especially if I'm starving. =T

My dining companions' friend is a sous-chef here (unfortunately wasn't working last night) and recommended a few dishes. We ordered the following:
portobello fries - either you love it or hate it, we loved it!
trenne pasta - delicious!
bianco pizza w/ prosciutto - if you like sauceless pizza, get this!
clams oreganata - it's good if you are a seafood person, thank God I am!
roasted beets with goat cheese - very good, but i love beets and cheese =P
The space is beautiful and yes, the servers are "ridiculously good-lookin'" zoolander status. The food is solid, especially for the price. Its high energy level makes the whole place buzz with excitement, making this place a wonderful place for group of friends to dine. The bill was around an inexpensive $130 (food above and 2 bottles of wine) not including tax and tip, which gives me more of a reason to come back.
BUT, valet is a crazy $7.50.... There's a lot right next door for $3 dollars, people.

We all got the dine LA menu for $26 which included the following:
-edamame
-tuna sashimi with ponzu
-albacore with ponzu
-salmon
-halibut with ponzu and yuzu
-shrimp
-toro handroll
-crab handroll
and we got additional 2 orders of uni
Nozawa's trademark warm rice was nice and delicious, as always. The portion cut of the fish was a good size and all the orders above for dine LA came in 2 pieces. The crab roll did not disappoint, but the uni was forgettable, which was too bad being that uni is my favorite. However, the rest of the meal was delicious and the service was just outstanding. Everyone was friendly and kept checking in on us... They were busy last night, but that didn't seem to deter from their service.
Tax and tip are included in the price, but the tip turns out to be only 16%. We gave them extra due to the wonderful meal and great service. The total bill was $160 for 4 dine LA menus, 3 green teas, 2 orders of uni, which includes tax and tip (not including the extra tip we put in).
A hugeeee bonus for me: We saw Charlize Theron there last night with a girlfriend of hers. That gf was actually waiting along with us for a table until the beauuuutiful miss Charlize arrived. She is just as gorgeous as in person, if not more. Can you tell I absolutely adore her? haha
FYI - The parking lot is free for 2 hours if you get validated.
Tip - The sushi is made to order, so don't wait until the rest of your party get their dishes. The rice is warm and if there is sauce on the fish, it will soak through. This will make it much harder for you to eat as the rice will fall apart. This applies to the handrolls as well - it WILL get soggy if you don't eat it right away.

The pork soup dumplings at Mei Long Village were inconsistent. Some were full of soup and the dumpling skin was thin, just delicious! But, there were quite a few that were dried out and the skin was too sticky for me to grab the dumplings.
The service was friendly and I still ate a mothereffin' shitload of XLBs from here on Saturday morning, despite the fact that I think J & J next door makes better dumplings. I still love XLBs so I will devour them all... one by one.
