My Blog Or Website My Last Meal On Earthten cartons of cigarettes and a heroin sandwich
Yesterday, I was sent to the Clay st facility, which feels like a completely different company. Checking in took something like 20 minutes (during which time other people came in off the street and were checked in BEFORE me). In this 20 minutes, I listened to the receptionist have a loud conversation with some other woman about her life, her dreams, etc.
The doctor wasn't very good either. She could barely speak, stuttering over every other word, and had essentially no bedside manner. She got upset at me when I was slow in showing her the range of motion in my ankle (not surprising, since I was there for severe ankle pains). She basically told me nothing about the situation, and defensively provided next steps ("call the clinic") when I implied that she was sending me away with no treatment.
I have to completely mirror helena b's sentiment here ("the shortest, most useless, and awkward physician visit i've ever had. see someone else. go somewhere else"), despite my good experiences at the EC location.
I hope they can get organized enough to deliver any level of medical service, but I won't be finding out. When my membership expires, I will be finding a new heatlhcare option. Quite a shame, considering the good experiences I had at the EC facility.
