Don't let the weird building color and decor fool you...this place is AMAZING!

Best advice - take out at every chance you get at the Pollo.Their main focus is on the food than the image of the place so keep that in mind when you enter.

I've also done catering for personal and work activities and they haven't disappointed me yet. Esther (owner I believe) is extremely accommodating and works within any type of budget. I've received so many compliments and try at every opportunity to recommend the Pollo to friends, family, co-workers and anyone that might be around Pomona for lunch or dinner.

The marinate that they use has such great flavor while the homemade salsa packs in a punch of spice. Killer combo from the Pollo!

If hunger strikes you while you're in the Pomona area, pick up some delish food from the Pollo. Its really THAT good!

Dickey's Barbecue Pit

I'm saddened that I won't be returning back to Dickey's after a few major failures of this particular Dickey's franchise.

Our first experience was with take out. We ordered a family style meal for a mini-gathering and our biggest mistake was not checking every food container. They ended up not filling our sides. It appeared that they left out a quarter off from each of our order.

During our second trip to Dickey's, the Mister ordered the Rib plate and ended up with only THREE ribs and was quite surprised on the small amount of food. He proceeded to check the photo on the food menu and it appeared that a rib plate comes with FIVE ribs. The cashier then confirms that they only provide FOUR for the rib plate and his particular order came with THREE since one of the ribs was larger. I think he stood there in shock for about a second....We couldn't believe the response.

This was the last straw and our final trip to Dickey's. For the amount that you pay for the quantity of food, I would rather pay more and head to Lucilles instead or any other premium BBQ joint.

Specifically drove an hour plus to sample Two Gun's "flat white" with friends and it definitely did not disappoint.

The ratio of coffee & cream on this hot delight is amazing. I've been hearing about the special coffee after a group of friends trip to Australia and happy that I had a chance to sip the goodness of the flat white that they had been raving about.

Friendly staff, clean atmosphere and an ultra cool owner that greeted us as soon as we arrived. Nice.

Be prepared to do a bit of off-roadin' with your vehicle at the parking lot. It has its own mini-slopes at the plaza. I guess it gives the whole area its charm!

Looking forward to re-visiting the MB coffeeshop with friends and seeing the many five star Yelp reviews of Two Guns. Love the place!

Dolcissimo

I wish that I could add an extra start to make this place an A-OK establishment, but I can't get myself to do it. The high cost for average desserts puts a downer on both your pocket and appetite.

When the shop first opened a few years back I was thrilled to have a cupcake place in the area and anxiously sample several cupcakes with a friend. I ended up going a few times afterwards with hopes that the price per cupcake would be equivalent to taste with no such luck.

If you're in desperate need for a cupcake fix, I'd purchase a pastry at Barnes N' Noble versus Dolcissmo. Not only can you grab a cup of coffee with your dessert at a price point lower then the cupcake shop, you'll get a tasty one at that.

Ouch!

The price on a cup of coffee is pretty steep and puts a major dent to your daily coffee budget. Ordered two decaf coffees with a total cost around $7.50....for decaf coffee?! I was a bit shocked when I saw the cashier ring up our coffee order. I swear I didn't add a frap, whip, soy, or double of something to my order. Two decaf coffees at more than seven dollars is way too much for my wallet.

I have to admit, I do love the décor and happy to see an independent coffeeshop in the area. If I had a chance to meet with a friend and to enjoy the atmosphere I would certainty pay a premium for the coffee roaster, I seriously would. But if I'm in route to work and need my daily caffeine fix, I'm driving through a franchise coffeeshop to get me through the day.

Dripp, I hope you reconsider the high prices or offer some sort of special deals and/or discounts in order to gain some customer loyalty and daily coffee drinkers like myself. I don't think I can imagine paying such high prices at all times.

Beer battered bacon wrapped dates...say what?!

I'm not the biggest dates fan, even after a trip to Morocco the taste of dates never really appealed to me till my dining experience at the Salted Pig.

Ended up sharing "the Pretentious" burger, an order of flithy fries & the fried bacon wrapped dates. We were both completely stuffed. Save room for dessert and opt out of the filthy fries. The fries were completely drenched with cheese and ended up filling our salted pig bellies before dessert which was a bummer.Overall a great dining spot that I know I'll return to whenever I'm in the Riverside area.

I'm definitely a fan of the Pig!

Din Tai Fung

We first feasted and fell in food love with Din Tai Fung inside of one of the dozens of malls in Hong Kong. After realizing that they had a location in the United States and within the Los Angeles area we immediately grabbed a menu and tried to remember everything we had ordered.

The handmade noodles is something that is a must when visiting Din Tai as well as the various dumplings and vegetable dishes.

Interested in dining with the family at Din Tai - be prepared for cramped seating and a wait. Everyone in the area is in the know of how good this place is and there is nothing that you can do but try to arrive early or dine at off hours.

This has become one of our go to places whenever we reminisce about our trip to Hong Kong and a great way to share with friends one of our overseas food experiences.

Generous dessert portions with great cake flavors. I was in some serious dessert heaven at Sweet Inspiration!

Smooth hip hop soothing the soul throughout the cafe during our visit and ample seating for group gatherings was a thumbs up for this girl.

Only downside of the Sweets joint; the lack of parking surrounding the area. Other than that, I'm a definite fan of the place.

Diggin' the new management! They really took the time to do some much needed landscaping and painting of the building exterior and it shows.

Efficient service staff that tries to get you in & out without compromising the work that they do. I've been going here for close to two years and was thrilled to see the "under new management" sign several months ago.

I ended up opting for the first time an oil change (w/free car wash at around $30) and they had me out within my lunch break. Talk about service!

With all the new enhancements, it tends to get busy during the 12-1pm, so be prepared.

Hope they continue the great service.

Noodles & Company

A solid lunch spot in downtown Denver.

Initially, I assumed that all the noodles were solely going to be Asian-inspired just by the restaurant name, but was instantly caught off guard by the noodle options that included both Mediterranean and American dishes.

The "trio" option of a salad, noodle dish and protein is an ideal choice for anyone looking for a fulfilling meal.

Service was efficient and they got through the lunch crowd pretty quickly.

If ever I return back to Denver, I'm sure to make a stop at Noodles & Co for another enjoyable lunch.
