1. Find an available computer (almost impossible during peak hours)
2. Open up Photobooth and snap a shot of myself
3. Open up any type of image editing software
4. Draw a beard on my face
5. Admire my work while realizing that women should not grow beards because they basically just look like poo-beards, which is not a good look
6. Set said masterpiece as the desktop background
7. Go home
Oh and I also buy iPhones and computers here, but whatever.

He'd like the crab cake sandwich; me the salmon and bacon one. They are delicious and amazing and I didn't know what love felt like before you touched my lips. My only beef is that you are not available everyday of the week.
I love you.

HAHA HOLY CRAP.
I feel obligated to spruce up my original B restaurant review because I have been here eight hundred thousand gazillion times since I wrote this:
"What a wonderful location for a DYL event!
I don't know what it was about this place, but I got stuck in a bar stool black hole. I came in, sat down, and did not get up until it was time to go. I guess the Bisazza tile put me in a bar trance, who knows. Either way, Yelpers are friendly so I didn't actually have to move to mingle.
The HH menu is short, but still sweet. Two drink options, both very different. One masculine, one feminine. I say this because the girl one has "love" in the title and is actually pink... they even draw a heart on it with red syrup. The male one is, well, male. Tall, dark, and handsome. Sweet, but still packs a punch. Very lovely. The food choices were hey alright. I was actually surprised at how wide a variety they had considering the very limited HH menu. I had oysters, tamales, chicken drumsticks, and some herb fries (or something).
The space itself is a great place to see and be seen. Wide and open floor plan, very welcoming. Lots of warm colors and textures grace all the surfaces. Tall windows grace both sides of the corner restaurant.
1 star deducted because the light in the bathroom (ok, ok, so I got up once to go to the ladies room) wasn't bright enough. Hey B Restaurant? Half the reason a girl even goes to the loo is to make sure she's still pretty! Sheesh!"
ANYWAY! All that above stuff is true, but seriously guys. GO TO B. I didn't even realize it was the same B in Yerba Buena (that I am in love with) until I say my favorite waiter working there and they had the Love On on the menu.
When I die I want my ashes to be spread at B, is that weird?People thought this was:

FIVEten Studio
Categories: Home Decor, Furniture Stores, Art Galleries
Neighborhoods: Oakland Chinatown, Old Oakland
FIVEten Studio is, hands down, the best design store in the east bay. This is unquestionable.
It's exquisitely designed. A lot of shops have a tendency to deck their space out. That's fun to look at, but often takes visual dominance over their product. Not good. FIVEten is white and bright, and the focal points are their wares. Want to make a dining table a star? Shine a light on that bitch.
Their inventory is unbeatable. Listen, I frequent Moss in NYC. I know my design inventories. FIVEten has some of the freshest and most sought after products in the entire universe (and maybe other universes). And most of it is from designers working right here in the good ol' U.S. of A. This shop has things that I hadn't seen before (like some badass Maharam fabrics). Do you know how often that happens? How about NEVER! So yeah, the products are edgy and curated, but they are also really great looking. A lot of people who aren't that into design could easily come in here and find something for themselves.
One of the owners, Alfonso, is a real gem. He's very casual and super approachable. He knows his product, and most importantly, he isn't stuck up about it (even though he could be because he really knows his stuff). I seriously wish that there were more people in design that were like Alfonso. He is a breath of fresh air.
FIVEten also strives to be apart of the neighborhood. In addition to throwing monthly parties that involve the neighbors, they also have art shows featuring original works of art by the locals (and sometimes beyond).
And those are just a few reasons why FIVEten is the best of the east bay. Whether you're looking to furnish your place or simply seek inspiration, this place should definitely be on the top of your list.

The Touch

Neighborhood: Mission
No, I'm not talking about a Euro sugar daddy who just slipped himself a Viagra. I'm talking about the furniture at The Touch. The furniture that is fuckable. And vintage. And Danish.
It's that hot, seriously.
One star deducted because, uhm, I realize that I'm gyrating against your wares, but I do have an Amex handy. How about a little customer service?

Whether I'm just browsing or I have a black Amex attached to my forehead, Cliff is always very patient and doesn't push product or a sale on you. That's something you don't find very often in San Francisco, it's a real rarity! I think Cliff takes his time because he understands that buying items for your home is a big deal (and sometimes a big investment!) and it should be handled with care.
I highly recommend Echo for all your home furnishings needs, and also as a place to see and purchase FLOR carpet tiles. Cliff is basically the spokesperson (I'm slightly exaggerating here) for FLOR, and he knows every single thing about them. He'll even tell you if the tiles you like won't work for your project, because he cares about his customers and their happiness. He'll lose a sale here and there because of that, but his intentions are there and that's the bottom line.
Best furniture store ever!
