Are you a carnivore? (it's a burger joint, duh... they've got you covered.)

The place can be a bit cluster-f@*#%cky when you're trying to find a table, but the ahi tuna burger can't be beat. It's almost always busy, so make a little extra time. You may have to stand in line, but you can still enjoy the full bar while you wait!

Lucy's Fried Chicken

I really want to give this place 4 stars, but it's kind of hard after you almost choked on oyster shell pieces in 10 of the 12 you ordered (not to mention after having tasted the quality oysters at Parkside, they weren't that great). Now for the good stuff:

*Awesome staff: They're extremely friendly and comped aforementioned "choking hazard oysters."

*Cute location: It's just past the main drag of South Congress, and I like the kitsch.

*Decently priced wine: Holy moly! I can drink a glass for under $6 that DOESN'T come from a box that tastes like poison? (Maybe they deserve those 4 stars after all.)

*Enormous portions of good, fried chicken.

All in all, I like. Being that I am pescatarian- oysters were the only other thing aside from a vegetable skewer or potatoes that I could have ordered. My partner had the chicken, and I'm pretty sure he'll go back for more. Parking is rough, and I'd kill to see them add some more affordable bubbles to the list since fried chicken and Champagne were made for each other.

We went during the soft opening and the quality of food blew our minds. We were dying to try the diver scallops (they were out), and went with mussels in curried carrot broth instead. (I literally drank it.) My boyfriend had duck wings and a peanut butter dessert that involved foie mousse. Everything was well presented, delicious, and came out in a timely manner. They didn't have drink menus at the time (again, soft opening) so I can't comment too much on that part. The way things were going during "Week 1" it appears that Swift's Attic will make it's mark as an excellent date spot in Austin's culinary scene.

This is the cutest little Mexican joint that you've never been to. The happy hour is long (I forget if it's 3-7, or 4-7), and has such delights as handcrafted margaritas and half-off delicious ceviche. The roof is cute, though it doesn't really offer too much of a view- it does the trick.

If I could do this review in one word, "Meh," would be that word.

Our server was nice, our food was not that great, and our wine tasted like the $9.99 (retail pricing, certainly not their pricing) swill that it was. I'm sorry, Justine's. I really am. I'd really like to see you do well, but our experience didn't match the hype.

"Swill," was a strong word. I'm sorry (but it actually is a $10 grocery store bottle, and we hated it). I don't like doing negative reviews- it's not my style, but we've had better steak/seafood just about anywhere else we've ever been.

Yelp's Backyard Blowout

As I explained to my boyfriend that we could either go to a party involving strippers or one with a petting zoo- he combined the two ideas and thought we were going to a party with strippers you could pet. Despite his confusion, neither of us were let down when we found ourselves nuzzling bunnies (not affiliated with Playboy) under the happy buzz of delicious, premium cocktails. The whisky, St. Germain, and even Fluffy himself made every part of the event fantastic.

I had a great blow-out experience with Lauren at Roar, just before my birthday party. I love the location (heart of downtown), antique mirrors, and over the top service (this included Champagne). The reception staff is always beyond nice, and everyone goes out of their way to make you feel like a million bucks. I will most definitely go back!

I just had a perfect day, and Viva is to thank for it. Lupé went out of her way to converse with me, gave tips on stretching out the lifespan of my polish, refilled my wine glass, and even got me dark chocolate when she learned that I preferred it to milk. That's service.

Here I am now, moments later in the relaxation room admiring my gorgeous mani-pedi and sipping on cucumber water as the soft sounds of what might be jazz soothe me into a state of bliss. Considering a splurge on a trip to Viva? Worth it...

I'm sure the highlight of the event for Gabriel H. was not the presence of cupcake-princess vodka reps, nor the delicious Coffee Porter, or even the pork sandwiches...

No, I think the highlight for Gabe was getting sprayed in the face by a shot of vodka as I could not contain my laughter seeing the, "Amber's Bitch" name tag still stuck to the back of my date (unbeknownst to him). I think that particular moment is gonna stay wtih him.

I feel more comfortable naked with Julia Vie than I do by myself. That says a lot.

I may be at a higher weight than I'd like at the moment, but I felt a thousand times sexier and more assured in one topless session at Vivian's Muse than I have in the presence of a thousand reassuring guys.

If you think boudoir photography is not for you, just take a glance at their gallery, and you'll reconsider. Sure, we have a thousand reasons not to, "I'm too fat, I'm too old, I'm too young, I have a zit, my boobs are all wonky..." Whatever. Just go. You'll look and feel like a million bucks, and everyone should have a sexy photo session of themselves at least once in their lives.
