My local bar hangout. Yes, it is dark, dirty, smelly, and ripe with testosterone, but that's why we love it. Many come here to get laid. If you love Badlands, this is not the bar for you. Cheap beer in plastic cups, and friendly bartenders. I have the most fun on off-nights. Saturdays, the place is packed shoulder-to-shoulder , and it's a bit too much for my taste.

I don't write many Yelp reviews, but after my recent experience with Gene, I had to send out props. My refrigerator went kaput recently, and while I think of myself as really handy, this ended up being out of my league. I emailed Bay Appliance Repair some photos and a description of my issue. Gene promptly replied and told me it was a sealed-system issue, which is covered under the manufacturer warranty. (He doesn't do warranty repair, so this means no $$ for him.) Despite this fact, he spent several email cycles answering my silly questions and helping me prep for a (hopefully) successful warranty claim with Sears. From my admittedly brief experience, the guy is smart, friendly, and runs an ethical business.

A fine gay doctor with a friendly bedside manner who isn't afraid to engage my silly sense of humor. On my first visit he worked up an extensive history with detailed questions that left me feeling very comfortable opening up about all aspects of my (sordid) past. Non-judgmental and compassionate.
I've gone out of my way to recommend Cummins Construction to my friends. Collette recently finished a bathroom remodel after I discovered faulty workmanship left over from a previous contractor/builder. She patiently explained every detail of the process, masterfully handled all phases of demolition, and build-out, and went out of her way to make sure the job was finished to my (exacting) standards.

Well-worth a visit. Prices are competitive, and they have a great selection across a wide price-range. They pack quite a few samples into a small floor space, compared to the competition.
I worked with Anita and Aldrich - both were extremely friendly and helpful. Providing me with loaner sample pieces to take home for no charge, and taking time to help me figure out what my needs were despite my inability to articulate them.
Also - about the negative-nancy reviewer below: You're tacky. Demanding a discount because of some faded social connection years past then coming on here and calling the owner a b*tch is pretty low.

Dr. Greene is awesome. I've been to several different chiropractic offices in the city, and this one is the best. Professional, clean office, attentive, friendly staff. Greene always (patiently) listened to my complaints. As for the reviewers complaining about the aggressive follow-up schedule - have you guys BEEN to a chiropractor before? This is part of the deal. If you don't want to commit, tell them where your limits are - stop blaming people for your poor communication skills. And the other folks - why are you going to a chiropractic office for primary medical care - what are you thinking?

This place is great - a little sandwich shop tucked away with a wide variety of foods. Sandwiches and wraps made to order, tacos, burritos, salads, and daily specials like pasta and baked mac and cheese. The staff is extremely friendly. I keep coming back for the Chicken Club Wrap, ask them to go easy on the ranch - they're a little heavy-handed with it.
