Part of me loves the navigation of this place but most of me hates it (yeah, I'm a librarian. go figure.) That's the ONLY reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Well, the concrete floors aren't great on the tootsies either, but that's not totally relevant.
Other than those two things, this place is freaking nirvana for book lovers! I don't go there when I know what I want to read - I go there when I don't know what I want to read, because I know something will always jump in front of me and say "Me! Me! Please buy and read me!" Who can argue with that?

The Morse Institute Library is simply excellent. They have a great selection of new books - both fiction and non. Their Friends of the Library funds the "Speed Read" area, which also has new books that circulate for 7 days max. Their local history/maps/public records area is useful if you're trying to find out information about what's going on in town now or in the past. They have a self-check station in case you don't want to wait in line to check out your books (sorry - videos and music must go through the line...) or have something in your stack that might embarrass you. :)
The fact that they are part of the Minuteman Library Network works to their advantage - you can request books from other libraries quite easily, and they'll be delivered to whatever library you prefer.
When you get your library card from them, get the card that attaches to your keychain. Then you'll never be without it and can always check out whatever book strikes your fancy when you find yourself in the library.

They have a pretty good beer selection, always the standard by which I judge liquor stores.
The main thing this place has going for it is that it's not Town Line liquor and is within walking distance of my house.

This is the only place we ever order pizza from in Natick. Our "special" is a large with feta, artichoke hearts, and sun-dried tomatoes. The two of us can eat about 2/3 of it when we're hungry, which means I always get breakfast in the morning! I'm not as big a fan of their garlic-cheese bread as I want to be, which may be due to the fact that the pieces of garlic they use are ginormous and give me dragon-breath.
Delivery is pretty quick, or you can go and pick it up yourself. If you have an odd address, it might initially take them a while to find it, but after the second time they knew right where we lived.
I've got them programmed into my cell phone for those days when I'm driving home from work and can't fathom the thought of cooking.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in the whole Boston area! The Chile Relleno is amazing, the chips are amazing, the salsa is amazing, the enchiladas are amazing, etc.
The service is understated, which is perfect for the ambiance of the place (i.e. not so much "shabby chic" as just "shabby.") But the food speaks for itself - and it says "I'm tasty and you will come back for more!"

Aztec is my go-to Mexican joint in this part of the Metrowest. The chips are tasty, the beer is cold, and the food always hits the spot.
Every time I've gone, there has been at least one table with kids at it, so you can feel okay about bringing them here.

Round Top Ice Cream Stand

Best ice cream in all of New England! And I say this as someone who lives in Massachusetts... The sheer number of flavors guarantees there will be something for everyone in your party. Sit inside or outside on the porch. You won't be disappointed by the ice cream here - which they make in the manufacturing area in the basement.

Good-sized ice cream cones, good ice cream flavors (in other words, they have fruit flavors along with the various chocolate, nut, caramel, etc. flavors). Our default ice cream shop.
Busy busy busy on weekend mornings, this is a great place to grab a muffin or croissant on your way to work during the work week.
I like their soups and their amazing and awesome grilled cheese.

1. It's a locally-owned small business.
2. They have a huge inventory of frames, ranging from "Hey, my grandma would like those and look great in them!" to "OMG I have never seen anything that cool before!"
3. They have an in-house guy who works miracles on damaged frames - MIRACLES!
4. When I went in with my new prescription, an older pair of glasses that needed some repair, and a desire to get new glasses, they checked the difference between my old and new prescriptions (not too huge), compared my old lens size to the new one, and let me know that it might be possible to use the old lenses in the new frames. I dropped them off at 6pm last night, and at 11am today, had a phone call telling me that the new glasses (with old lenses) were done.
All in all, I'm really satisfied with Optica.
