I come here when I need something for the kitchen. They always have the greatest utensils and non-electrical appliances for baking and cooking. I look for things that my Mother taught me to use and they just don't make them anymore.

For example, cookie cooling racks, cast iron cookware, special egg cooking pans, pancake forms, cake pans, etc. etc.!

Believe it or not, it's my 9 year old's favorite hang out! Yikes, I know! But it's not what you think. You see, there's not much entertainment for kids around here and the family center downstairs in the casino is really great!

For his 5th birthday, we had a party. Great rates, tons of excellent well-made pizza, lanes to ourselves for two hours and an arcade with tokens too.

We've come back several times since then and for his 9th birthday, guess what? We did it again!

I've heard great things about the Seven Sisters Restaurant, so I'll have to hold my breath (through casino smoke) to get up there for dinner one day and have something else to add here.

Now named IGA market, this grocery store has a lot to offer, but at a price.

Pros:
Just around the corner!
Great deli/bakery
Meats are fresh, well cut and sometimes a good price

Cons:
Price (ie: $4.49 for a loaf of bread)
Expiry Dates - Check them all!

Copper Grille, aka Saddle Creek Restaurant has the finer frills of dining here in Copperopolis. Attire is business/dress casual and that includes golf wear.

We've dined here many, many times in our four years as full time residents in the community and have always been satisfied with the atmosphere, service and cuisine. It's difficult to recommend any favorites as we like them all and they change their menus with the seasons.

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinners. Call ahead for reservations in the evenings or on weekends as it gets busy.

What a surprise to find an entire Italian eatery menu at this little pizza place (or so I thought).

I ordered the Chicken Ciabata Sandwich with pesto mayo and potato salad, hubby ordered the spicy chicken wings and son ordered pizza bread with dipping sauce.

All of us were happy with our meals and I told the owner (very nice lady) that I'd place a review on here!

Only downfalls, no delivery and no website ordering! (ok, I'm a spoiled city gal)

Koto Japanese Restaurant

Koto's has become our family's favorite sushi boat!

We were recommended to try this little sushi restaurant by a lawyer friend who frequently visits. Skeptical as I was, since finding fish is rather difficult in these parts, I thought I'd give it a try.

We ordered tuna and salmon nigiri sushi and a dinner box with tofu and gyoza and a miso soup incl. I instantly noticed the sushi was huge! Much larger, no dainty portions here! It must have been 1/4" thick and 3" long! My inner skeptic wouldn't get excited until I tasted how fresh the fish was and it was definitely fresh fresh!

Then the box came with salad with a wonderful orange-ginger dressing, fried gyoza, tofu and rice.

Everything was wonderful and we knew we'd be back.

It was literally two nights later, we were back. It's one of our favorite's now.

My husband has been to Japan a couple of times on business and they always took him to the best (hole in the wall) sushi places where he highly compares Koto's style to theirs.

I see other reviewers have had mixed experiences here, but that was long ago and I think if there were any kinks, they've fixed them. Growing pains are a part of any new business venture and it's not easy finding experienced Japanese servers in Sonora!

They're closed on Sunday's and they get pretty busy these days, which is clearly a good sign!
