Brand new petsmart!!!! So happy there's a closer one...I don't need to drive all the way to the one on Foothill in Pasadena.

I believe the one on foothill doesn't have a hotel for dogs. But this one does!!! Doggie suites...how cute is that?

my friend went to buy fish tacos and shrimp tacos. I really like the shrimp taco. It was a pretty big taco with a good amount of shrimps. The shrimps were fresh too; wasn't mushy nor dipped in too much batter.

i enjoyed it so much that a few days later after i first tried it , i went back for more. And dined there at the restaurant. it's a small place and this time seeing the menu, the prices were very reasonable.

i tried their carne asada taco.. and it was eh. King Taco is much better. The quesadilla w/ carne asada was a bit salty.

i think i'm just going to stick to their shrimp taco. As for the fish taco, i think taco nazo tastes a little better. Although this place isn't bad for their fish taco either. but yes, definitely shrimp taco for the win!

I dunno if this place beats Porto's because the guava strudel  and cheese rolls are still better at Porto's.

However....it's been three days since I last had them and  im still craving for the potato balls -- sooo gooood! And the beef empanadas /groom pastries. The beef is well seasoned and the pastry is so buttery and flaky..Mmm!

These nice round potato balls also consists of some meat...but the outside was light and crispy. Personally I think these are better than Porto's.

Skip the chicken empanadas...just go with the beef.

I heard about broasted chickens but I never knew there's one that exists so close to my house! We got a box of 16 pieces of legs and thighs for ~$19. In my opinion that's quite expensive. But I will say that the meats were really juicy. Flavor wise, nothing special...just salty. And it wasn't that greasy compared to other fried chickens

I would like to try it again when they have a special promotion going on.

this is pretty good for a deep dish pizza FOUND IN EL MONTE!

the sauce could be a little more, but everything else was well put together. By the time the pizza got to my house, it was kinda cold already yet it was still good. So i imagine that it'd be really good when it's FRESH out of the oven.

we ordered a medium size w/ two toppings: mushroom and sausage. Because it's deep dish, so it's thick..and we were able to feed 13 people just cut each regular size to half. it was great cuz we had enough room to sample other food.

restaurant #2 ... as my friends and I continued to explore the city of el monte

Ordered a House steak which comes with what looks like a flat iron steak, A LOT of rice, and a few plantains. This smelled and tasted good. Not sure if this was worth it given that they give such a small piece of meat with a whole lot of rice.

we also got an order of Arroz con Mariscos.. seafood paella this was very flavorful. It cameto with fish, scallops, shrimps, small pieces of lobster tail and alaskan king crabs. However I don't understand why it came with the whole thigh and leg of a chicken? I'm not complaining cuz more food the better, but I thought it was a seafood paella.

After being able to try these two dishes, I would like to dine in and try other items.

ever driven by local restaurants and wonder if the place is any good and why is it still opened so long??

anyway for my birthday, i had asked my friends to ventured out to different restaurants  that we have never been to and ordered something to go and bring it back to my house and just feast!  OUR own version of "food crawl"

i don't even know how many times i've driven by this restaurant and each time i do, i look through their window to see if there are anyone actually dining in there.

got an order of Beef Dip and a Pastrami Dip. The pastrami were thinly sliced and was not sandwiched in rye breads.. it was in crispy baguette. The bread was pretty good, soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside.

Personally i prefer the pastrami french dip more than the beef french dip. To be honest, both were not impressive. it wasn't "THE BEST in LA" i've had better. maybe the best in "el monte" but even then for the price they charge ($9 each) and the size of the sandwich... i'd rather go to The Hat.  It really wasn't worth $9.  I've paid $10+ for pastrami sandwiches before but they were HUGE.. the sandwich was REALLY stuffed with juicy and thick slices of pastrami!!!

Overall it wasn't good nor bad.... it was just okay. and i have experienced better french dip sandwiches for a more reasonable price

but sometimes i do wonder how fresh are their bread and meats? i mean.. i rarely see people in the restaurant.. and i drive by this place EVERYDAY (twice a day!)

Although therethere isn't much to look at, but it is always fun to walk around downtown disney, especially at night with the pretty lights, the smell of caramel popcorn and wonderful live bands.

cute shop. tons of different dried fruits, nuts, and chocolates.

this is your typical small town shop where they have a little bit of everything in terms of snacks and there are samples for you to try.
