Great shop, great bikes, great people. I just bought a really sweet bike from here and I'm stoked about it.
First off, the bikes themselves are very high quality. I previously owned an entry level Cannondale and was never satisfied with it. The gears never worked perfectly and when I brought it back the the shop I got it from the excuse was: "this bike is cheap and the gears are cheap, so it's never going to work perfectly". That was lame. At Marin, however, my bike did work perfectly and it's backed by a lifetime of free service. I also got a thorough tune-up right before I left with it. Having that peace of mind a few blocks from my house is amazing.
Second, the folks in the shop are super helpful and knowledgeable. They seem genuinely interested in helping you get the most out of your bike and not about the bottom line. I was not nickel-and-dimed at any point and actually was encouraged to check out a bike light giveaway down the street rather than buy them there. I think that says a lot.
Conclusion: If you're looking for a high quality bike, knowledgeable and honest salespeople, and a great warranty with free service for life, you should go here.

Anyway, I ordered the grilled calamari and octopus appetizer and the Kobe beef (it was under a different name). I really enjoyed both but I was disappointed by the portion size, especially the main dish. I know it's a trendy gourmet place, but I still get somewhat upset when I spend over $30 on a steak that doesn't fill me up. In this case I got two very small pieces of meat probably totaling 4 or 5 ounces with a few tiny (yet tasty) tidbits on the side. My GF had the duck three ways, which was amazing, and maybe more food than my steak.
I fully recommend this place, but don't come expecting a feast to be had. There are plenty of amazing restaurants that give you a ton of food. The lamb shank at Kokkari comes to mind.
