Had to add this update because I recently discovered the CHOCOLATE PUDDING CAKE--TO DIE FOR! Just trust me on this one!

A friend of mine from 'SC is a bartender and server at Mastro's Ocean Club, so I used to be a regular ever since it opened but I've been spending so much time in LA I haven't been able to get there much.
I am not a meat eater but I love the food there (the wine list is top notch too):
- The lobster mash is A MUST!
- The macaroni is really good.
- Seafood tower: wonderful.
- Always end with yummy butter cake or berries and fresh whipped cream.
- My usual: Copped Salad, BUT I get it with all romaine lettuce and leave out the blue cheese. I crave that salad all the time.
- Last but def not least: I love the fresh warm pretzel bread with butter. I dare you to skip the carbs if you get a whiff of it.
They have great live piano music in the bar. They play a variety of adult hits from Sinatra to Top 40. REAL TALENT--which transcends their entire staff as well!
TIP: The drinks are pricey, but one order of a martini is actually two!
So now I'm sure you see how Mastro's has garnered the 5 star rating.

It is a pretty cute spot though and it is a bonus that they have decent MIMOSAS. I enjoyed my GOAT CHEESE TART and a lovely POT E CREME.
With so few options for decent brunch in P-Town, I know I'll hit up Water Street Bistro again.

Old Vine Café

The only problem with this place is that they don't have fat free milk. I have to have fat free milk at breakfast.
I prefer Plum's but if you wanna switch it up, Old Vine Cafe is a good call.
John Wayne is under construction for Terminal C, I was at the OC Supervisor's meeting when they were deciding on the restaurant development bid. Wish they would have gone with Wahoo's and Coffee Bean, but they didn't ask me.
Can't wait to review John Wayne Airport after all the construction is done.
(FYI, men: Do not bring a date to the Improv until you have been together awhile. The point of dating is to get to know one another and a comedy club is not the place to do that! PLUS, we all know comedians tend to be pretty raunchy and unless you know someone well, it doesn't make a good first impression.)
Food was actually pretty decent. I had the Mahi Mahi.
I'd love to go back to the Improv for the right comic, but hope I never have to go back on a date!

It is a decent spot to grab a post night out drinking bite. I never really drink here though because they have a HORRIBLE WINE SELECTION (but to be fair, no one really goes here for wine anyway). I love the FRENCH FRIES. However in the condition I usually eat them, I'm probably not the best judge, hahaha.
Rogue = Decent spot.
