I used them last year to move and it was great - 5 stars. It cost around $650 for 3 people. This year we moved with them again and it was about $250 more. Granted I had a bed and dresser which I did not have last yr, but I did move all my electronics over to the new place myself so I probably had less stuff overall
My problems with the service this time were:
- It was supposed to be a 3 man crew, but it was only 2. 3 movers are $150/hr while 2 are $120/hr. I would have rather had the extra mover for $30 more per hour since they would have been done faster
-They arrive at 8:51 and were done at 1:50 and I got charged for 5.5 hrs. I that's 5 hrs. Granted, some people charge in 30 min increments so they could say they started at 8:30am, but they didn't even start moving stuff until like 9:15.
-If it takes 5 solid hrs to move and I get charged for it, thats fine, but they would take some boxes down on a dolly then I wouldn't see them for like 15 mins. I mean I have an elevator. It's not like they were carrying the boxes down by hand. There just didn't seem to be a lot of hustle and it was their only move of the day.
-They had no tools to take apart furniture that couldn't fit through the door. I just assumed that if I hired someone to move then they would actually the furniture from one place to the next. Why is it my responsibility to take apart the bed? Plus I already had my tools packed. And how do you not have a wrench set? They had a set of hex-l wrenches and some pliers. So it took about an hour to get the bed apart. Most of that time, the guys were just standing around. I even had to go to the hardware store to buy the tools and took most of it apart myself.
The movers were nice and nothing was damaged, but I felt screwed on the price. Next time I'd most likely try the other 5 star Irish moving company on yelp.

Maybe I had higher hopes after reading some of the reviews. I'd definitely say 3.5 stars. If you're going with a friend, just keep in mind, the place is loaded with rose petals, glitter and candles. I'd probably try it again if the owner doesn't ban me for my 3 star review.
