there is a crazy lady here that is always yelling at her employees when i go to pick up pizza. it's almost worth ordering from here just to listen to her scream curse words. i only give it one star because i was super dissapointed by that pizza with the pull off cheese balls (you know the one jessica simpson advertised at the super bowl?). well yah, that thing sucks.
this place is to-go only but for some reason it just tastes better then the site down place. And that is saying a lot because the sit down place is excellent. Anyways, if you want some wongs, get some here.

this place kicks ass. sheshwan chicken is great and so is the duck. they have great sit down service and cooked to order to-go's so everything's always fresh. The sizzling rice soup is another one of my favorite and if you want something healthy to-go get the wok charred veggies and add some chicken. The portions are big too, always some to take home or share or whatever you do with you extra food. my only complaint is that the fortune cookies are always boring =}
As far as blood banks go i guess it's cool. They usually have a cool offer going on like a free dominoes pizza, or a bucket of chicken from kfc. Needles really aren't all that fun though, but if your going to give some blood hit this place up.
The Queen Bean is a nice change from your typical coffee house. You can tell right away that it's a bit different as you walk up to an old (victorian?) house that looks like it's out of a 50's movie. As you walk inside through the hippy beads it's a nice mix of contemporary and modern design with sweet details (look at the gold ceiling in the first room) and plenty of places to relax and even play a game of chess. They also make great specialty sanwiches and proably the best smoothies in Modesto. In the summer time you can also sit outside, in fact it's often the only place to find a spot as it can get pretty busy especially between popular class times at MJC. The staff is also a good point to this cafe, they are very nice and talkative and offer lots of suggestions if you don't know what to get.

just had to clear that up because it's listed as a chick store.
This store has some realy nice and different dress shirts and classy clothes and shoes that are different from most the stores in the modesto mall. They are also the only places that carries all types of lucky jeans. A lot the clothing here is designer brands that are a little expensive but most things are averagely priced. Hurley, Roar, and 7 Diamonds are just a few of the many different brands this store carries. If your a trendy dresser and like to look good, check this place out.

The food here is great, especially anything sea. I really enjoyed there clam chowder and salmon. The prices are a little expensive, about 12 for the average meal, but the service is excellent. The atmosphere is very trendy but also fairly friendly and usually has a lot of good lookin people. The bar it usually packed here too and the wait for this place on the weekends can be out of control! But it is worth the time and money. From steaks to burgers to seafood this place has it all and it's all pretty good.

All in all a cool place. Nice theme and decor throughout and a menu with a wide variety of choices. The salmon here is superb year round and I also like the lamb shanks. My favorite is the seafood and sausage cajun mix (i can't think of the name, but it comes with rice and garlic bread). The price of a meal here ranges from 7.5 - 16 so there is definitely something for everyone. The service is okay, not the most hospitable. The bar is usually packed on the weekend, as is the restaurant. It is one the most popular places in town. So if you come here and there is a huge wait, go to the bar, your sure to have a good time.
Chips and salsa come with diced cabbage, it's too die for! some of the chips are the thick flour (i think) kind and they are awesome.
The service is great too, my water glass is never less than half full, even when the place is packed. Cheap margarita's on weekdays and lots of cerveca to choose from.
The food is amazing, very authentic tasting. The menu is a little difficult becuase it isnt organized at all and it's also very large with ton's of choices! I usually get a 3 choice combo (on the back of the menu) with a tamale, taco, and cheese enchilada's and a large horchata. This is a TON of food! It of course comes with rice and beans, and I always have a full meal to take home. The dessert here is good too, especially the doubl chocolate cake.
If you happen to end up in the little town of Riverbank, eat here. Plus the movie theatre is right across the street!
