It is brunch time and the line at Mission Beach Cafe is ridiculous again. So we go to Chow, my first time ever. its surprisingly cute inside, I was not expecting this at all. I got the chilaquiles  minus the chicken, it would have been 5 stars but both my food and otherwise delicious chai could have been way hotter. We split the ricotta, lemon, and raspberry pancakes, which were freaking awesome.  The back patio is covered and heated but on a cold day its still kind of chilly. Service is really good.

This is weird, it's like writing a review of the ferry building in San Francisco, it's just a building, but the food stalls inside are amazing

I liked this place a lot, I've been here twice now, and probably will end up going again (ok maybe more than just once more) the food is great, very fresh tasting and healthy. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars I the staff isn't friendly at all, either they are aloof and not smiling, not seeming to care if your their or not, or they are very cold to you, and almost angry seeming. Don't know what the deal is but it's not very welcoming.

The service a this place is good, the staff is very friendly, but the food is pretty bad. I had the prix fixe menu which comes with a bland iceberg lettuce salad, with mysterious bright pink dressing, and vegetable soup, which was kind of like French onion but not quite, and way to salty. They bring you a basket of stale bread which should count for something right?

For the main I had stewed lentils which needed some kind of seasoning and some salt, brown rice, which also needed salt, and some kind of fava, cauliflower, potato gratin (minus the delicious cream needed to actually make it a gratin...) nothing really had any flavor to it. For desert I had a roasted apple, which would have been great hot, but it as cold.

i've only ever gotten delivery from this place, but it is great, try the Kashmiri naan, its amazing, although i'm sure its bright red color is not natural. who cares. Mmmmm. Get the aloo/paneer sag, the hyderabad vegetables or the Malai Kofta. delivery times are usually 20-40 minutes depending on the day of the week and the time you order. fridays seem to be bad.

They have their own sweet website to order off of, no phone orders needed.

It too bad that one star is the lowest review I can give the place. The owner Takahiro, would not seat me and my friend, saying "you aren't my customers" he wouldn't take out money "I don't want your money, I'm not some Mexican" we later saw him standing near the open air trash bins with unprepared food his hands.  Takahiro is openly hostile toward customers and his mission neighbors and sounds distinctly racist toward Latinos. This place is food poisoning waiting to happen. -

OMG. OMG. OMG. We got a box of señorita bread, the smallest box they sell is 15 pieces, which is fine maybe for 15 people, our in our case 2 people. These little bread rolls are addictive. Butter, flaky, doughy, hot, cold, steamy, damp, good, evil, magic, benign. It is all these things and more. At the same time. In your mouth.

When you go bring friends and self control. or don't...

A new spot on the SF brunch scene, its under the radar at the moment, so there is not huge crowds, they only serve brunch on sunday's so get your timing right. Start out with something sweet.

The chef too the time to come out to check on us as well, very nice.

I've been here for dinner it was delicious as well.
