Rick!  Rick!  Rick!

I loved buying a mattress from this place.  Was pressure placed on me?  Yes probably, but Rick never put on the full court press.  He had a wide array of mattresses and never pressured me into buying the higher priced one.  We actually ended up purchasing the cheapest mattress, I think we got a good price, but will for sure be back when we get a second bedroom and finally purchase our queen sized bed!  I don't have much other mattress buying experience, but I would highly recommend Rick and Sleep City if you are in the market for a better sleep.

Tonight I took the first step on a long road towards fatherhood.  I took the plunge and bought a young bonsai tree.  The shop keeper/owner was super friendly, although I was hoping he would throw in a cute figurine with my purchase.  He had a great sense of humor and is passionate about his bonsai.  I can only hope that I am able to keep this baby tree as beautiful as it was when we bought it.  The good thing is that we live only a block away, so I will bring it back when it is in need of emergency care.  I'll update with pictures ASAP.  If you need a plant or flowers this is the place to go, as it is always great to support local businesses.

This place is the truth!  I have been here a handful of times for the purposes of mass embibement, but I never thought twice about their food.  Who knew that they would deliver some of the best BBQ in Chicago?  Their smoker was smoking and the BBQ pork platter was crazy awesome.  The platter is $13 and comes with a heaping pile of pork, fries (get the sweet potato), cole slaw, and fresh out of the over jalapeno corn bread.  I did my best to conquer the platter, but I was unable to take the entire thing down.  Our server was also great and made sure that our drinks were kept full the entire night.  This is without a doubt my new go to BBQ and drinking institution.

What a nice surprise!  I try not to discriminate against any genre of food, but when I think of vegan food my mouth doesn't typically salivate.  I went here because my sister in law lives somewhat of a vegan lifestyle and she raves about it.  I was surprised by the large menu and how many items looked great on paper.  I ended up going with the "chicken" twister wrap, which was somewhat of a buffalo chicken concoction.  I have to say that is was pretty awesome!  My only knock on the place is that their sandwiches are around $10 and they don't come with a side.  After ordering a side of sweet potato fries my meal was pushing $15 and it seemed a bit steep for what you get.  Other than that the service was great and I want to come back and try one of their "burgers".

OK I got that out of my system!  Johnny T. threw together another amazing party at one of my favorite Chicago stomping grounds.  I hadn't been back to Sullivans, since they had the cigar bar upstairs and boy has it changed.  It is still a great spot and the food was outstanding!

It was great to catch-up with my fellow yelpers and meet a few new ones too!  My only complaint is that they were had Illinois State vs. Indiana State on all the TV's.  Really?  Turn on Big Ten Network!!!

This really was a first class event and I need to make a point of getting back to Sullivans soon!  Thanks to the yelp crew for a great start to 2012!  I can't wait to see what else we have in store for us!

It seems to me that Bice has received some unfair yelpicism.  The wife and I went here last night with little expectations and a gift card for a three course meal for two.  Channeling our inner senior citizens, we had a 4:30 reservation so we basically had the place to ourselves.  With our certificate we received one appetizer, two entrees, two drinks, and one deser along with a martini and a glass of Chianti.  I loved the Chianti, but my wife wasn't thrilled about her martini.  She loves a lot of olive juice and even when she asked for more it still tasted like straight vodka.  The tartare was the bomb!  It was a heaping pile of tuna covered with a delicious hybrid guacamole and cucumbers.

Bice has a huge selection of dinner entrees primarily consist of pastas ($15-20), fish ($25-40), and meats ($25-45).  Based on our waiters recommendation I went with the pork chop with creamy polenta and figs.  The wife chose a monkfish special that came with grilled brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes.  My dish was amazing!  The pork chop was succulent and had amazing flavor.  The monkfish had extremely weird texture, but tasted great.  The mashed potatoes reminded me of Easter dinner at my aunt and uncles house.

Our server did disappear for a while we were eating our entrees, but he reappeared just in the nick of time for us to order our desert.  They had a number of appetizing items, but who wouldn't go with a chocolate souffle with fresh vanilla ice creme on the side.  It came oozing fresh out of the oven and even the whip cream was awesome (I am not typically a whip cream person).  Overall the meal was great and I will make a point of coming back to try more from their menu.

Their entrees are much better than they used to be!  The sesame chicken might be the best I have ever had and their fried rice is as good as ever.  I do wish they took credit card, but I guess I will live.  Do not miss their Egg Rolls!

This was my favorite growing up.  Chin's was the sole contributor of my chubby childhood.  I used to walk to Chin's after school in Junior high and get their egg rolls.  They also had very good noodle dishes.  Over the years as I have tried other Chinese restaurants I realized that although I love their appetizers I do not like their entrees.  Many of the Chicken and Beef dishes have a soupy texture to them.  Some people love it, but it is not for me.  Chin's will always have a place in my heart, even though a few of their dishes could be improved upon.

It took me long enough to finally swing by this location!  I was raised on Capt'n Nemo's, but I had never given this location a try.  From the outside it appears to be bigger than the other locations, but looks can be misleading.  The eating area is fairly similar to both Winnetka and Rogers Park.  The menu is the same and they subs are made to perfection.  My only gripe was that the tables were mostly empty, but not one had been wiped down.

If you're a first timer here I highly recommend a combo meal with split pea soup and either an Americanne or the Seafarrer Sub.  They are both great!

FYI - They have wheat bread, but their classic white is much tastier.  I am normally a huge wheat fan, but their white is on a whole different level.

Perfection!  I have yet to stay here, but this is my favorite casino to lounge around at.  The place is so nice and seems to have much more class than most of the other casino's in Vegas.  Steve Wynn did it right when he build this place!  Not much more can be said that hasn't already been said.

This place is really 3.5 stars at best, but I will round up.  The burgers are tasty and prepared really nice, but they do not compare to some of the better burger joints that I have had.  The price is a bit inflated for what you get.  The fact that it will cost you $20-30 for a burger, soft drink/shake, and a side is a bit steep.  Our server did a good job of keeping an eye on us to make sure we had everything we needed.  Overall I was satisfied with my meal, but there has to be tastier burger joints tucked away in Vegas.
