I was really ecstatic to see a pho shop near my work that was within easy walking distance. I was then promptly disappointed by the mediocre food.

This place appears too try to hard to me, they serve a large variety of dishes from Vietnamese to Chinese to Japanese and end up mediocrely in all of them.

Overall I can't really complain too much, it's not the worst pho I've tasted and not the best, just OK. I will keep coming back here again though since it's so close to work.

When Faith Y. first brought me here to try it out, at first I was incredibly skeptical. Walking in through some random indoor back alley already made it feel like a recipe for disaster. Thankfully, I was wrong.

Their Dohl Soht Bi Bim Bob is simply amazing (I'm sure you've read as much from other reviews). I've also tried their bulgogi and kimchi jjigae and I must say, they really hit the spot on these cold Seattle nights. Om nom nom.

The place is a little cramped and parking around Broadway can be a nightmare but this place is definitely worth a visit.

Simply amazing. Hands down my favorite happy hour in Seattle. Everything on the main menu is half-off (aside from the featured dishes) and there are decent deals on the house wines and draft beers. The service usually spot on as well.

The only word of caution is that this place fills up fast. Mostly due to the small size but you should prepare for a wait.

Overall, an excellent place to spend an amazing evening :)

Definitely one of the better happy hours in the Seattle area. I appreciate that I can bring the underage folk and still enjoy the awesome deals.

My typical order here is the crispy chicken sandwich (buffalo style!) with a side of sweet potato fries, delicious!

Plus afterwards you can take a nice walk around Greenlake and walk the calories off ;)

GET THE GARLIC CHEESE FRIES!!!!

That's really all I can say, because those are simply the BEST (and keeps me craving for more!).

Aside from the fries though, the philly cheese steaks themselves aren't much to drool over. They are certainly quite big and will guarantee to fill up your stomach; however, there's just a certain blandness I can't quite put my finger on. It may be too much bread or what not but they definitely need to kick up the spices.

All-in-all though, not a bad place to go. Plus how can you resist that name?

Absolutely love this restaurant! The food was amazing, service is outstanding and perfect for special occasions.

Pros:
+ The BEST bread I've ever had at any restaurant, hands down.
+ Very personal and romantic setting, good for any special occasion.
+ Pasta is mostly hand-made, aside from things such as the penne.
+ Vast wine and champagne list.
+ Top-notch service.

Cons:
- No view, which is understandable because it's located in U Village.

Green Leaf Vietnamese Restaurant

Green Leaf has become my staple "go-to" place whenever I find myself in the ID wondering where to go eat.

My "usual" order here is spring rolls, ice coffee and the combo vermicelli noodles. Pretty standard and super tasty. Especially love the crunchiness to their spring rolls, such a great idea!

The prices aren't too bad as well, although there are definitely other Vietnamese restaurants that are cheaper. The place can also be a little cramped especially when it's super packed, I found that the smaller tables (the ones that only seat 2) can pretty much barely fit all of the food on it and you'll be constantly having to monitor your dishes so they don't go overboard.

This is a great little place to get a good variety of Vietnamese food (and not just pho) at a decent price. It also gets bonus points because it's close enough to my work where I can walk down and take it to go.

Update - 1/13/2010
Just wanted to give an update to show how awesome this salon is!

Awhile back I got in the mail a letter from my stylist with a personalized note wishing me happy holidays. If that isn't good customer service then I don't know what is!

Went here based on the recommendation of my boyfriend's mother and couldn't be happier!

I had made an appointment with Angela and was incredibly pleased. Went in to cut off 10" of my hair to donate for Locks of Love and get a cute hairdo in that process. I had a very base set of guidelines for how I wanted my hair cut. Layered, thinned and side-sweeping bangs. Angela was very helpful and informative, she managed to explain every step in the process and knew exactly what to do for Locks of Love.

I will definitely be coming back next time!

I really would prefer to give this place a 3.5 star review. I was really pleased with their Happy Hour but as for their dinner menu I felt incredibly underwhelmed.

I had gone here to celebrate mine and my brother's birthdays with my family and significant others. We met to hit up their happy hour before eating in their main dining room. I must admit, I do like their happy hour and would probably come back for that alone.

For HH we ordered the steamed penn cove mussels, seared ahi tuna, and berkshire pork sliders. All were pretty good except the seared tuna had a tempura batter around it and didn't provide the fresh taste that I have come to expect from seared tuna. I also ordered a cucumber melon mojito which was surprisingly super tasty!

Once we were done with HH, we headed over to the main room. This is where the disappointment settled in. With a very low amount of selections and varieties, I opted for the King Salmon. The taste left much to be desired as I do not think it really stands apart from any other seafood restaurant I've been to (and at $32 it should!). It just didn't meet up to my expectations and I felt slightly disappointed with my dining experience. I will probably come back for happy hour and do recommend it for anyone in the Bellevue area.

This place is awesome! Granted they don't have the best of amenities or the comfiest seats, but that isn't why you would come to The Crest.

I love the fact that not only do they play those movies that are outta the big theaters (and not quite out on DVD), but they also play various indie and foreign films. This place holds great memories and will definitely be a place I will always be coming back to!

Plus, who doesn't love $3 movies?
