So the bathroom had this really neat faucet.
The food was good, but I'm basing that on what Cumming has to offer. One Google of Cumming, and you'll see what I mean. It's great for a light lunch, I finished my meal entirely.
You can tell that they are used to the patrons wasting the rice, they gave me a spoonful. I've got street cred ya know. Should I whip out my family photos. Give me some rice, please. The Basil sauce is far too strong for the little rice I was given.
Ok, goofiness aside, the food is good enough, considering there aren't a whole lot of other options.... and again they've got some cool bathrooms.

Obviously, I'm poking fun a bit at myself too. I didn't see anyone there that wouldn't mistake the Thai word for hello, as "sweaty cup."
After that description this review is a lot like eating at Surin's. A lot of flash and pomp but nothing really to tell anyone about. When we went we were crammed together with some other folks.
The nicest compliment I can pay Surin is to say it's the 'Chin-Chin" of Thai food.
Or for those that are still having a hard time reading my review.
Thai food that's been dumbed down for the mainstream.

The decor is minimal, mostly furniture liquidated from a previous restaurant. During the summer, you'll see the fan in the back on. The service was friendly but not exceptionally good considering how empty the place is.
The food is, well forgettable. We ordered the Panang Curry and it was a bit drab and missing something... like meat.
We won't be back and can't recommend it to anyone.

Watch out for the rice miser too. I don't entirely agree with Lori B. the food is better than average, but that's about it.
Good for dates, otherwise there's cheaper and better.

The food is excellent and has that "cleaner" feel than some other Thai places. The atmosphere is a little ritzier and although they've had some ownership changes, the place still seems mostly the same.
It's a bit pricier than other places with similar offerings, but at the end of the day they still have great Pad Prik Beef, Basil Chicken, and Chicken Panang.
The Tom Yum Soup is great as well.
Good date place, but I agree with Gerson they don't exactly have the theme right. It's borderline Mo-Mo-Ya ish, in decor... and that's not a good thing.
As a side note, I'd say the size of the restaurant makes it not especially ideal for children.

My wife and I visited for our anniversary and were expecting a nice romantic dinner.
Everything was actually going smoothly until the lobster came out with a HAIR! Personally, I think the fiber provided in hair would have done my Wife some good, but we weren't there for the healthy supplements.
Once we discovered the hair, the manager did not spend any time with us at all, he just sent more food. Not sure about you, but after seeing the hair, we weren't too excited about more food.
I thought our server was adequate. He was sympathetic but hurried us a bit and seemed a bit unwilling to take a picture of us while we were eating.
Our total check was $230 for that we got:
4 Lbs of Hairy Lobster ($95)
12 Oz of a New York Strip that was undercooked and nothing that Longhorn couldn't do. ($47)
Three Side Dishes to share (I was pleased with these, but my wife thought the vegetable medley was too oily)
Strawberry Margarita ($12)
Gentle Palm (drink)
Tiramisu for dessert
Nothing eaten was anything to write home about. The prices for the steak was ridiculous for the quality.
Bottomline: This isn't some Atlanta hotspot, it's just another overpriced hotel resturaunt with poor management.

Picasso Cafe Wine Bar
Categories: Restaurants, Wine Bars
After walking up and down the sidewalks in Buford, my wife and I decided to try seemingly the only restaurant that was open, Picasso's.
Owned by the same people that did Sperata, this restaurant captures the same great "date" atmosphere but on a more casual level. The food is a bit pricey, but a good 2 course meal for two people can be had for under $50.
The food itself is an eclectic mix of different items ranging from Thai and Japanese style food to classic staples of every restaurant, such as fried calamari.
While the menu might not excite you, the food will. I do not like fried calamari as a rule. Generally speaking it tastes like eating a piece of a tire. Picasso has changed all of that. We ordered the sampler, which comes with the calamari and it simply melts in your mouth... no joke.
All of the items were delicious and the creme brule is worth the drive back again.
The food is good, but the staff is better. The bar tender was a talkative friendly person that reminded us of what a small town is like. One of the waitresses there, is phenomenal, she knew the area and made other suggestions while we were there.
We're going back, will we see you there?

So every OG is the same or is it? This location is always packed the service staff turns over frequently so there is little consistency in service. Last time I ate there, our waiter hit on my wife with my son and myself there..... but I still tipped him close to 20%... he's a kid, ....
The food here is always watered down... even for OG food. I'm rarely happy with anything at this location, except its proximity to the Mall.
I miss the days where the Lasagna was a staple on this menu and it was at least better than popping the stoufer's lasagna in the microwave. Newsflash to OG, I ate Sam's Choice lasagna the other night and it was 10 times better.
In my last few trips, they removed the spinach filled pasta with meat sauce which was the lone item on the menu I enjoyed, the chicken parmigiana came out "toasty" and the "tour of italy" was more like the tour de dumpste' (as in the food looked like... well you get the picture).
On the bright side, we got three meals out of our visit because of the large portion.
Something draws us into OG, not sure what it is, all the food can be purchased at Walmart at better prices and quality, but we will continue to go to this location.
I guess at the end of the day, maybe it is the true Italiana atmosphere that they do get right.... go figure.

Date

So needless to say, Asian Fusion would only have to be mediocre for us to be satisfied. I mean, we just need our fix occasionally.
However, they really blew us (my family) away. The food was so good, we meandered off our usual Basil Chicken and Panang to get to try the Pad Prik beef. Excellent. In fact, the food is almost as good as Thai Restaurant of Norcross which is our family favorite.
They do serve Chinese and Vietnamese dishes here. We've tried the Pho noodles and were not that impressed, but the Thai is where it's at.
The owner is very nice and often stops by to talk to the patrons. They have nice plasma screens on the wall and a sushi bar.
It's nice to have an authentic tasting Thai place so close to the home.
For a Thai place in Dacula, I'd give it 5 stars, but up against the rest of Metro Atlanta it get's 4.
