Disgustingly good. While something like the bacon-avocado-sour cram dog would appear to be the extreme, actually does not taste as shockingly decadent as it sounds. To explore this dimension further, try the pickle-cheese dog. Gross but good.
+ I was not expecting it to actually have a vibe or decor, which it has.

I had a very good 'typical italian cold sandwich'.
(+)Cool retro decor, (-) I was charged more the sandwich than thre printed price.

Bubble tea is decent.
You actually can sit down here, space is relatively clean.
I find the fried dumpling a step down from their competitors - tasting ok, but the dough is a bit tough, and the meat is not as flavorful.

Vanessa's Dumpling house.
While the chive-pork dumplings are great, the scallion pancake with duck is even better. I have not been to other independent Chinatown dumpling places, but these are a cut above any chinese pork dumplings I can recall. You can taste real meat instead of microprocessed stuff mixed in with industrial filler. Get a bag of dumplings to go, unless you are person who doesn't like good deals. I plan to get a mini freezer and keep 3 or 4 kinds of their dumplings in it. In my experience they take 10 minutes to cook. -

The one thing I can add to what is below is that I don't think the veg dumplings are any better than the meat dumplings - they are good though. Unless you are a vegetarian I suggest 2 meat dishes.

The beef rendang and #9 spicy noodles with seafood were both quite good. If you get rice as a side go for the coconut rice.
---------
On previous occasions I have found the 'signature Malay-chinese rice dish' whose name i forget, to be very good. Coconut rice with egg, little fish, and various odd odds and ends. Also the appetizers, such as spring rolls and roti canai, were tasty.
Service could use work.
