The female barista with the long dark hair, black glasses, and deep voice is heinously rude. I ordered my coffees today, just like I always do, and she snapped at me when I paid...about 4 times. Um, RUDE.

Then the other barista, a blond female, made my drinks and I asked her if they were mine because I had ordered something completely different... and I didn't want to take someone else's order. She relayed the message back to the first barista, who yelled, "I didn't hear her order it that way! WhatEVER - Just give it to her!"

Whoa whoa whoaaaaaaa WAIT. I order the same thing every time, so I know I ordered it the way I wanted it made. I didn't change my order just to mess with you - I ordered it the way I wanted to drink it, just like you would do. If you don't like dealing with people, being a barista PROBABLY isn't a job for you.

The blond was laughing when I said, "Wow, someone's not very happy today, is she?" I get the impression that she isn't much fun to work with either.

And the parking lot sucks.

Fantabulous walking trail - you can see the highway but you can't hear the traffic. You can see the airplanes coming into SFO and OAK but you won't get motion sickness. You can see SF but you can't smell the sewers.

You will hear bird chirping and waves licking the shore, you will hear your feet crunching the gravel and your partner's feet syncing in unison. You will feel the breeze pushing you forward, or pushing against you as you plod along the Bay Trail. You will smell the salt of the salt fields, the smell of the ocean amplified. Glorious.

On the weekends the building is open. Some weekend days they feed the tiny sharks. Nothing is more peaceful than a mini-shark ripping apart some weird slimy calamari-looking thing.

Whoooooo loves Sulphur Creek? All the owls and other animals kept on site!

You can see tons of neat birds, coyotes, buggies, and weird lizard things here. You can also reserve a picnic table and have birthday parties here.... well, if you're 4 it's much more appropriate than if you're turning 34, so I'll have my daughter's party here this year. BUT I'LL LOVE IT TOO.

I love this place. It is my happy place. It is my child's happy place. I take her here when she needs to run wild and I need to regroup.

There are 4 different play structures, all appropriate for different ages, as well as a huge water area. It's particularly wonderful that the sand area is so close to the water area, so you can rinse of your dirty preschooler before sanding up your car.

You can park of of Lake Chabot road or turn down a side street and park in a lot right next to the playground. Or you can park on the street. Whatever you want, just save a spot for my family.

Great during the week, super scary during the weekends.

During the week, your kid will have a playground to himself. During the weekend, your child will be dragged all over the playground by child gangsters.

During the week, you'll find parking in any of the areas with no problem. During the weekend, your car will be door dinged or keyed, and you'll have to step over the piles of trash others throw from their cars.

During the week, you'll cover your dainty daisy chain tattoo on your ankle so you don't set a bad example for the kids. During the weekend, you'll see more Old English neck tattoos than you care to count.

So the moral of this story? If you don't want to get stabbed, go M-F. If you want to get initiated into a street gang, Saturday and Sunday are your best bets.

Fantastic park tucked away in a seedy neighborhood... No one really goes there during the week, so the place is basically yours. Well, except for the amazing grounds staff who keep this park in beautiful shape. '

There are plenty of paved paths if you want to stroll along for a short walk. Lots of picnic tables in the shade, a huge wide open green area, and a playground make this a perfect afternoon park for the kids.

The parking lot is pretty large, and there are decent restrooms on site. The mansion wasn't open when we were there, but we had fun peeking in the windows to look at the old house. Not sure if there are ever tours, but it is lovely.

If my toddler wouldn't finish her ice cream, you know there's something just not right about it. Ice cream (especially "made that day" ice cream) shouldn't have a gummy texture.

Seriously, she would not eat it.

This mall is stabby. Try not to look anyone in the eyes, and walk to your car with your keys in hand... especially at night.

Conveniently located near the Century Theater, equally scary http://www.yelp.com/bi...

How long does it take to make decisions? Forever, apparently. Every customer hemmed and hawed with the cash register person, who was incapable of hurrying them along to appease the long line of caffeine-withdrawn people.

How long does it take to ring up an order? Also forever. Soooo long to enter in the correct amount - and what is up with those antiquated POS registers? Hello, 1980 called and they want you to update to a real cash register that's easy to use.

How long does it take to make someone's peppermint mocha? Forever, and even longer if you want it to be what you ordered. It is SO hard for a barista to smile and be friendly. So, so hard.

Look out Tully's.. SBX is breathing down your neck for this retail space.
