Yums! My mother and I went here this past Saturday and it was pouring!!! We were hungry and wanted to try a restaurant we haven't been to yet in Long Beeach. We walked in and liked the atmosphere. Nice bar and tables... very modern and inviting.
They gave us salsa and chips, which I could tell was store bought right away, so my first impression was a little disappointing.
We then ordered a pitcher of white Sangria and my tune changed immediately! It was so good! One of the best I had.
We decided to pig out and order two apps... the Spring rolls, which had Italian sausage in it and it was incredible. I can't get the taste of out my mind! And the Tuna Ceviche, which was served in a martini glass over salad and tomatoes, it was refreshing and so tasty.
For my main dish I ordered the veal, which was a fried cutlet served over salad with mozzerella and everything just melted in my mouth!!
My mom ordered the Tuna with Sobe noodles and it was also very good.
For dessert... (yes we ordered dessert too, I said we decided to pig out). I think it was called Saduki, it was a large warm chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream.

Everything we had was very good except the salsa and chips, which we could have done without. They are a little pricey, but I thought it was worth it.

This place is called Pip's, not sure why it says Ro's, but the address is correct. Anyway, they have Hershey ice cream... that's right all the flavors are made with Hershey milk chocolate. I had a cookies and cream sugar cone and it was out of this world.

The place needs a renovation. The carpet looks old and everything just looks so out dated.
I over heard one of the waiters talking to another waiter saying how the floor is uneven so be careful bringing drinks over to the tables, 5 min later I see a waiter trip and drop a a beer. It's like helloooo fix the damn floor!!
Anyway, back to the food. We started out with the combination seafood plater. I had oysters, clams, and shrimp. The oysters and clams were super tiny!! It was almost as if who ever put them on my plate wanted to piss me off, like a sick joke, lol.
I then had the Alaskan King crab legs for my main dish and they were defintely cooked too long because they were dried out.
My mom had lobster and it was fishy.
I ordered a dirty martini and asked for Grey Goose... I have to assume the bar didn't have Grey Goose because it didn't taste very good.
I won't be coming back here again.

Home cooked authentic Mexican food. It's a quaint little place and you can BYOB.
Guacomole was great! I make awesome guacomole... I guess you'd have to try it to believe me, but anyway their guacomole rocked. Their tacos were very good.
The menu wasn't huge, but def enough to choose from.

I went here for my birthday one year and the food was very good, but the portions are a little small.
The atmosphere is very nice, but they sat us by the kitchen which can get extremely warm. It's cool that you can see them preparing the food, but I don't think it's neccessary. By the way, I am talking about the one in the SoHo area.
Overall, I'd go back but ask to sit away from the kitchen area.

Mussels, mussels, mussels!! So many different ways to order them!! You can order them in cream sauce, diablo sauce, thai style, red sauce.. You name it!
The desserts are also out of this world!

Food is here is off the chain and so is the wine.. so much to choose from. I went here for a NYE party in 2008 and they had a cocktail hour full of raw clams, antipasta salad, etc. They then served a huge stuffed tortellini and it was sooo good. The main dish was a surf and turf and it was excellent. They then had a dessert display and it was heaven.
Everything was fresh and seasoned to perfection.

It's funny that the reviewer before me talks about the server because I had the same issue. It was like he was born yesterday and had no idea what he was doing. I got so angry I actually walked out, which isn't something I usually do.
I then went back for a second time and the service wasn't bad but the food was! It was cold and the presentation just down right sucked!!

I have been going here for years. It has become a family tradition. Every Christmas Eve we come here and the place is packed. They did update the menu a bit, but I think it's great. They have Japanese Kumamoto oysters, which are my favorite besides Blue Point. Every dish I ever had was incredible and everything is fresh.

This use to be one of my dad's favorite restaurants and this is actually the last place we dined at together before he passed, so this place def holds a special place in my heart.

Great for happy hour! Every Friday you get a free buffet and half price drinks! You can't beat that! Great atmosphere and crowd. Their wings are the absolute best!! I don't usually like wings, but these are something else... a must try!
