Oooh Crudville, or Browntown, or whatever you want to call it. We hit this place up after work on wed and sundays when Mark O'Donnell is working. Hes full of good dirty jokes, and doesnt take shit from anyone. Its a great place to just have a beer (and they have a great list!) and on Sundays while football is going on, you can get a menu where everything is like $5. WHO can beat that??
Its also a great place to kick back after our kickball games at Cardines.

Like my love affair with Mauros in Hollywood, FL, you are now part of my nightly bad decisions. I mean, you should be honored. Its kind of a big deal to get taken home by me at 2am. ;)
Lovvvve this place! A friend took me here back in Oct and Im just sitting down to write about it. This place is very unassuming from outside. I would have driven right past it. The decor inside is that of a small English pub. Dark wood, great beers, and nice and small. Im obsessed with the cowhide backs to the bar stools. Really cool.
Now for the food. The burgers... wow! I could seriously sit here and put back like 4 orders of these bad birds. I cant wait to go back and try them all. The black pepper fries are pretty awesome as well.
SUCH a great little find, and I WILL be making more trips off the Island to hit this place up. And that alone is saying something. I never leave Newport.

WOW! We went here thinking " Hmmm, we've never been here, and we LIVE in Newport. lets check it out!". Um no. There is a reason why we have never been here. $11 for an Omlette? And not even a good one at that! The Hash is from a can, the orange juice tastes like it came from cumberland farms. You know that gallon of cheap crap thats watered down? The service was horrible.

What a cool little place. During my 1st trip eva to Fall Riva, a friend took me here for some authentic Portuguese food, and a questionable milky green alcoholic bevvy. Upon walking in, it was pretty quiet, except for the old guys at the bar speaking in their native tongue. My friends imitations were spot on! I finally got what he has been talking about! :)
I let him do the ordering. It was all amazing. We had a steak w an egg on it, I couldn't for the life of me tell you what it was called, but it was GOOD. We also had the pork w the little necks. Also, great.
It was pretty quiet for a Monday afternoon after a hurricane, and Im sure this place gets packed.
I'll be looking forward to anotha trip to the Riva for this place.

I just love this place and all its cheesy dirty glory. I thought it deserved one more star. :)

Holy Drunken Stooper Batman! By the time you make it down the stairs into the BASEMENT which is this dance party, you are either a) totally inebriated or b) on your way to said state.
On the Rocks is the last stop of the night. After you've hit the Pelham, Star Bar, Pour Judge, or Fastnets, you go here.
The ceiling is dangerously low, and its often shoulder to shoulder packed with people slamming shots, and girls wishing they had taken up pole dancing a little sooner, so they dont look like complete idiots on the Pole that's in the middle of the dance floor.
If your looking for some good ol' bumpin' & grindin' this my friend is your place. If your looking to make out on a dance floor, yup, this is your place too.
We didnt stay here, but we came for the Remixology event upstairs in the bar. Brendan O'hara was playing (which is always a kickass time!).
This hotel is quirky, and artsy, and there was a really great crowd of people there. We ended up going down stairs for a bite in the other bar, and man oh man....

Braised Short Rib Tortellini????? HOLY CRAP. We got that w the mac & cheese and a cheese plate. Those tortellini were probably one of the best things I have eaten in a LONG time. We ended up ordering another round of them. We woke up this morning, and contemplated going back for more.... for breakfast.
We went up to a friends room to check it out. It was a spacious room, w huge windows, clean lines, and all white. It was a little Ikea-ish, but still, a nice room.
This place will do great! They were booked (on a mon night). Ill definitely be back to stay here. And it has a GREAT location!

This is a great hotel! Im always a fan of the Fairmont Chain. The staff are SUPER helpful and pleasant. We didnt get to check in till about 10pm, but when we did, Joe (the guy at the desk) informed us that the kitchen would be done serving room service @ 11. He continued to inform us that there would be COMPLIMENTARY turkey clubs after that (while they lasted)!!! WHAT?!
Unfortunately we got back too late from our night out, and missed the boat on the clubs, but man, what a great idea!
My only gripe was that we had to pay for parking....$42!!! I mean, c'mon, we just dropped 300.00 on a room, and your going to make us pay to park? Thats kind of crappy.
Other than that, great hotel, great showers!, the bed was super comfy too.
Unfortunately we got back too late from our night out, and missed the boat on the clubs, but man, what a great idea!

Ugh. After a fun night in Boston, the staff at our hotel recommended this place for brunch.
1st, lets start w the staff... er, the hostess / waitress. While she was very nice, she was horrible. And, she only had 2 tables. She forgot things we asked for and took forever to get our order (she was busy talking with another employee and passer-bys on the street).
2nd, The food.... What is going on here? Both of our entrees the Spinach salad w Chicken and the Fritatta, both had zero taste. The toast was dry, and I had to ask for butter & jam. I have never in my life applied so much salt & pepper to a dish just to taste SOMETHING.
The place is really cute, but man, bad service, and bad food. There are so many amazing little places around, I can not imagine why anyone would go here.

The food... meh. Nothing fabulous, but if your in a pinch, I guess it will do. Upstairs is a night club-ish situation... This place always has an interesting crowd. I can never really pin point who the "regulars" are. Is this a "townie" place or a Salve bar? Whats going on here?
Props to the Pumpkin beer this fall. They always had the cinnamon sugar rim ready for us!
