Before I met the ladies of OTBAD, I only trusted my dog to a few other pet lovers. Babysitting my dog means you know about dog care and LOVE dogs. Foxy is my best friend and baby. So I can count the people whom I trust with my Foxy on only one hand. One of those fingers belongs to OTBAD.

I have worked firsthand with Shannon and Jennie walking dogs and photographing them for our joint project for charity! After spending months with the owners of OTBAD I can say they really care about your pets like they are their own.

They leave report cards, and follow instructions for pet owners down to a T. They'll gladly take your dog for exercise if you have to stay late for work or go out of town for a friend's wedding.

If you say only half a treat after the walk, that's what they get. If you have two dogs and want to feed each dog their own brand of dog food due to allergies, OTBAD will cater to your needs. All breeds, big or small are treated kindly by OTBAD. I love supporting local small businesses who love animals like I do.

Shannon is passionate about humane pet care, and actively educates owners on positive ways to train your pet, reinforcing desired behaviors, and she goes out of her way to learn about what we love and hate about pet service providers, so that she can create the best experience for us. She is a great resource for pet advice and resources in the area.

When I go out of town, or need someone to checked on my dog-- I now have someone I trust as much as I do my little sister.

So I dabble in different kinds of exercise... including bickram yoga....  and this has been the best workout, with most noticeable results in my life. It's not too impacting, fun, and your body gets nice definition right away. I've gone twice and feel beautiful and proud of myself afterwards.

Daniel is the guy you can trust to be fair and caring. He won't rip you off, he will be honest and tell you how it is, even if it means he makes a few hundred bucks less. Plus he is smiling and friendly too. He's the mechanic with the know how and sense of pride in doing the right thing.

With that said, Daniel's been the one to show me how to change my oil, he taught me a few safety tips for riding, and picked up my scooter/dropped it off on time!  He is great with letting me know the status of my repair, and the only reason I don't see DNA Motor Lab anymore is because I am moving to SoCal.

In my opinion, of all the Chinese scooter repair shops in the East Bay and SF, DNA Motor Lab is hands down the best repair shop based on value.  This is based on the man behind it all-  he cares to do the right thing. When it comes to mechanics of a scooter, and my safety riding it, I can count on Daniel and DNA Motor Lab.

Shoulda known, you get what you pay for. I didnt research this company. It just seemed more affordable than the bigger internet providers, without the bundle. However-- there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.

It took about a week to get service and I was with them in a contract in 2006 with no problem.
However in 2010 I signed up for service after moving to the Bay Area. After 4 months, I had to move again for work and I stayed with them because I had signed a 1 year contract. I figured that I am completing the rest of the contract by staying with them and checked with the representative that it would count on my account.

At one point I wanted to upgrade my service because it was too slow. I was willing to pay-- but this would renew my contract again! So I didn't do it. Now it's been 8 months and I have to move out of the country for work. After 15 minuts on hold to get a representative who didn't have power to help me. She asked me to write a letter to billing@dslextreme.com explaining my situation. Took 3 days for someone to say Sorry, you still have to pay. They got back to me and said I would have to pay for the remaining months even though I am not getting service.

I really think this company needs to learn customer service, and to make it right with the customer. I used to recommend them, until I realized they are only just when taking your money. The trust test is how the dignity when there is a problem, speed issues, moving issues, there needs to be some accommodation and the ability for a manager to step in and make a decision in the interest of the customer. I don't think this company will go for with their current business model.

Just as good as the original location, but too small and they cut down selection. The original location carries at least 20 flavors whilst this one only 6.

It does make it easier to choose....  seating is limited, and the place is very small and crammed. Not so warm and welcoming as the Berkeley location. Show owner comment »

I adore this place. I stand in line as if I will be blessed by the pope by the end of the wait. Every stands there in respectful silence, with dreamy eyes, and deeply inhaling the fresh baked cone smells.

I personally bring a new person every month to try Tara's.
Tara herself is really nice and down to earth. I love the unlimited samples and love the extra small cup option.

One time I ate one, then went back in and got another cone!
Cones are hand made! Oh so yummy!

Parking's a bit hard but worth it.

Growing up eating Chinese ranging from fancy banquet restaurants to Chinatown cheap eats, to street vendors... dude this is Not authentic food. You can pay 50% less for 50% more and 50% tastier elsewhere. The only best things about the place is attention to ambiance, and even that is just good compared to most restaurants. It is "better" than the real Chinese restaurants.

You are paying extra for nice servers that can speak English, and a pretty bound English menu. I have to say their tea is tasty ($4.00 a pot), and are served in nice iron tea sets so you feel like you are playing tea-time.

Would not return. Just went there as a guest of friends, and was too polite to say they have bad taste! HA

Be ready to spend: We were a 6 person party.  $20 per person, went home hungry.

At least they are nice:  They took away two bowls of untouched soup in their rush to clean up, and when we complained they packed a fresh soup for us to take home.

REFERRED BY FRIENDS
Found Todd of Green Lantern thru a referral. Todd is professional, can explain electrical problems in either layman terms or the long version (he lets you choose), he is on time.

MY SITUATION
Todd finished some work on our rental home: (old old rusty breaker panel) and crummy electrical work done by previous tenants. He called to cancel when he could not work in the heavy rain (safety issues).

WHATS HE LIKE TO WORK WITH?
He is licensed and came with his fancy tools and van with ladders on top. We got a FREE quote and he even sent it to us by e-mail. When we started the work, he arrived on time, and locked up when he had to leave. I trust him working at my home while I went to class.

PROBLEMS SOLVED
There was a miscommunication on work we expected him to perform and what he thought we would ask him to do in a separate project. So Todd came back and made us happy (no more power outages). No extra hidden fees, just make sure you come to clear agreement on what will and won't be done.

RESPECTABLE GUY
Todd is easy to chat with, discreet, a nice guy, and even helped us unhinge a door, and carry an unwanted washing machine out of the house. That is going above and beyond the call of duty. His experience with earthquake renovations ensures that he knows the most efficient way to get the job done. (Even was considerate enough to ask if I wanted to move an outlet a few feet over, so I can fit a washer/dryer in a corner).

WOULD RECOMMEND TO FRIENDS
5 stars for professional guy who can explain what he is going to do, does the work, is pleasant to be around, and respects your privacy. Good job Todd!

The way theatres ought to be.. Grand. A great movie going experience with a mostly adult crowd.  Detail to the classic architecture, you feel like you are at a well preserved historical bldg with. I love the double staircase and feeling of heavy doors and brass.

Good acoustics and funny current events opinions posted on on the old school sign.

Niz is the cool calm and collected computer guy. He doesn't rip you off- and knows his computers, programming and networking- AND he can communicate with the office staff and my boss. PRICELESS!

We call him up for over the phone help, or networking issues. He's good with both Macs and PCs. Like a good mechanic, and trustworthy Computer Tech is hard to find!
