I miss the old Baily' as it was one of my most favorite place to eat and the food was excellent.
That said, the new restaurant in there, Mooney's, is reliably good and Iraj will accomodate you if you ask him to fix a certain dish or order other than what is on the menu.  If he can he will.  Sometimes they can be a little slow but he takes great pride in making food that pleases his customers and they are trying to  make this a neighborhood favorite, breakfast , lunch and dinner.
They will make you feel really special so give it a try.

Vic's is such an important place in Land Park and hosted so many of us who grew up in the area for nearly our entire lives.  Vic Zito was my next door neighbor when I was a toddler and Ash and he upon coming out of the Coast Guard at the end of WWll bought the lot that my mom sold them and opened this store.  It is a landmark.  Each year they used to close it for a short time and completely redecorate it.  We looked forward to what would be new and vibrant. They created employment opportunites for highschool boys and everyone who I know who moved away from Sacramento, when they return to visit, always include a trip to Vics.  Year after year they won the highest marks and rewards for the state's best ice cream at the State Fair.  Just finding places with counters anymore is a rarity and I am so thankful they have kept with their original concept.

One of the remaining restaurants specializing in the business 'man's' lunch.  I recall when they turned well over a hundred lunches per day, day in and day out.  The place was always packed.  it is not a dark place at all, the service even when jammed has never been one for complaint and the food is spectacular, never disappointe when I go there and like another poster my favorite is the half and half.  Ronnie has kept this restaurant ticking for 46 years and it is fine tuned.  Missing all the old former places, the Broken Tee in Rocklin, the Golden Tee in Sacramento, the Zombie Hut, Sacramento, the Broiler on J St., so many really excellent restaurants, so few left.

I have never been disappointed when going there, have always been treated very well and with total courtesy.  Food portions for lunches are very abundant, good fries and the entrees I have had have been better than average with some really quite exceptional.  Drinks are not overly poured and not short either and as mentioned they treat you well.  There are two rooms so am confused by the "too small"comment made in here.  This isn't a meat market, this is a small town bar and restaurant .

Love Cabos, both of them, and we really think the world of Jesus who runs the restaurant.  The food is good and they are not miserly on portions and we enjoy the salsa and if one desires pico de gallo you CAN order that.  Nice, colorful atmosphere and very nice servers.  We are always happy when we go there.

You can feel the love.  Could not be better for the effort they put into this place and the quality of food offered daily.  Originally a lunch and catering place now a dinner house too with a full bar and classy neigborhood ambiance.  Whether you bring your kids or your business acquantance you will not be disappointed and a nice east coast touch to a very west coast location.

The Bull is a social club.  It serves the locals from all walks of life and welcomes newbies.  You do not get ignored at the Bull, you are welcomed by friendly people.  How anyone could equate it with the 160 serves to illustrate that he had not lost his 'b uzz' as he could not have been thinking or observing clearly.  It is a nice lounge atmosphere for those who enjoy that atmosphere. Methinks Martin should stay out of there as it obviously is not his style.  The owner Pete Bailey takes great care of his customers.
