I hate that this place is so close to where I live, and is so damn delicious!  They make cupcakes like Lay's make potato chips. You can't just eat one. Ok, maybe you can, but why would you want to?! There are too many delicious choices for you not to walk out of there with at least two cupcakes. I could go on about their favors, but my fellow yeeps took care of that for me.

The staff is super friendly, but won't give me any of their recipes. I won't hold that against them in this review, but it makes me a little sad. Don't forget to pick up, and have them punch a cupcake card. You don't want to miss out on free awesomeness.

Little Big Burger

Little? Yes. Big? Yeah, not so much. Maybe they meant "big" flavor, but they certainly didn't mean their actual size. The burgers... I mean, sliders, are really good. Cooked to a perfect medium, so if you don't like pink in your burger ask for well done.. People with small appetites will be ok with just one, but you know I got my grub on with two!  Needing to buy two sliders makes your tab more than one $ by yelp's ratings.

The fries. Everyone is drooling over the fries, but I wasn't impressed. Frozen fries with some fancy oil doesn't make frozen fries good. And the fry sauce is your typical mayo and ketchup sauce. I'll gladly eat their fries, but they're not "OMG!" good.

This place is small and lacks seating. Next time I go I will just get my food to go. The loud country music and crowded room made of an uncomfortable experience. Not to mention the building is a dead zone for all things cellular. They could really benefit from some free wifi action.

Some things just go good together. Peanut butter and Jelly, milk and cookies, mashed potatoes and gravy, cold pizza and chocolate milk (DON'T JUDGE ME! It's freakin' delicious!), French fries and frosties, Mexican and Korean food... Wait, Mexican and Korean food? Well... I guess so.

I don't have anything bad to say about KOi Fusion. It's just weird to have Korean flavors wrapped up into a burrito, or over loaded with cheese in a quesadilla. The best thing about KOi Fusion is the convenient downtown location, fast service, and friendly vibe. If you need a decent lunch in a hurry, hit up KOi Fusion.

Qdoba Mexican Grill

$8.50 will get you a Chicken Queso Burrito, a regular sized drink, and it'll leave you with two cents left over to write a review here on yelp.

Qdoba is your typical semi-fast food restaurant (a la Subway). You place your order and they slap it together while you walk down the production line greedily make your selections, and ask for "a little more of that please."

Over all the food is good, but if you have superior tastes such as I, then you know that cilantro is one of the worst flavors in the world (It's right up there with brussel sprouts and dog turds), and their rice is a cilantro lime rice. YUCKY! I asked if they had plain rice, and they said "No." I asked for brown rice, and they said "No" again! No alternatives to their filthy cilantro rice, so I had to go rice-less. That made for a very slim burrito in my over sized hand. :(

My burrito was still good, but until they get some other rice options I probably wont be back. Don't let this review stop you cilantro lovers from coming here though. You'll probably enjoy this place quite a bit.

My first stop here was opening week, and they were busy as expected, even during lunch. Service was very attentive, but they might have been overstaffed due to the Grand Opening. Not sure how long that's last, but I enjoyed my glass never running dry.

The amphitheater behind the Old Church/Brew house looks like it'll provide many a good nights of music. I'm actually looking forward to hearing some music there.

Typical McMenamins food. Nothing to send your taste buds into over drive, but a decent meal.

Defiantly a great place for after work drinks.

I'm miserable right now, and it's all Tonalli's fault! If they wouldn't have made such damn delicious donuts, I wouldn't have just eaten three, and now feel like my gut is going to explode! I planned on only have one tonight, but after having the fantastical butter milk bar, that they claimed was made with love, I couldn't stop. It must have been made with love, sex, and everything else euphoric.

I also had the coconut cream topped chocolate donut that tasted like the donut version of a mounds bar, and a chocolate old fashioned, which was perfectly crispy on the outside and wonderfully cake-y on the inside. Best old fashioned donut I've ever had. TRUTH!

Forget everything else I've ever said about the other Portland donuts shops. Tonalli's IS the best donut shop in town.

I get gas here sometimes. What did you expect from my review? I mean, I pull up, they fuel up my vehicle, and I drive off. Not much could go wrong there.

I guess the good things about this gas station is that it's across the street from Costco, so it has slightly cheaper prices than other brand name stations. Costco is cheaper, but it makes my car idle rough, so 76 wins my $40 fill up.

Artistic Auto Body

5.0 star rating

After a deer jumped into my car and rolled all the way down the driver's side I searched for a good body shop. I asked friends, co-workers, searched Yelp, and dare I say I even searched some other review sites. I found that their aren't many reviews for body shops. Most of the reviews I found sounded very biased, but Artistic had a few reviews that stood out. So I gave them a shot. Even though I butted heads and possibly offended the estimator I worked with, Artistic Auto Body well deserves 5 stars.

Artistic did a ton of great things for me. They explained the process I needed to go through with AAA, set up the rental car with Enterprise next door, called me with updates on my vehicle and extra damage found, didn't accept the crappy mirror that AAA wanted them to use and then got a good replacement, repaired the damage flawlessly, vacuumed the interior, touched up some small rock chips for free, and gave me a free bottle of touch up paint. Amazing!

The only small problem I has was with my estimator's swirly-ness. I'm not one that's afraid of confrontation, and if I have a problem or don't like something, you best BELIEVE I'm gonna say something. It's just how I roll. I would ask the estimator a question and he wouldn't give me a solid answer. For example, they found some rust under the windshield. There were two options to fix it. Just paint over it for free as that's part of the process anyway, or remove the rust and paint over it for which was "several hundred dollars of work". Several hundred? How much is that? $200? $800?! That's a big difference! He said he didn't know. You don't know how much something costs, and your the estimator? That bugged me a lot.

The next day when I went to look at the rust, I confronted him about being swirly. He got a little huffy and proclaimed he was a professional, and that he didn't know because his technician hadn't looked at it to see how extensive the damage was. If he would have just said "I don't know because of this..." I would have been happy. "I don't know" just isn't an acceptable answer to me. A little explanation goes a long way.

Like I said, this was just a small little blip on the radar of a wonderful experience.  Their craftsmanship and over all customer service was incredible. If you take your vehicle anywhere else you'll be doing yourself a severe injustice. Show owner comment »

This little dumb I-5 town has one of the best DQ's I've ever been to. The local teenagers that seem to hang out here every time I pass through are little annoying, but who cares? I'm here for 15 minutes max. Just enough time to scarf a burger and get a blizzard.

Did somebody say blizzard? Oh yea.. I did! They make the best blizzards here. The are packed full of toppings, and are mixed thoroughly, so you won't get any plan white spots as you near the bottom.

Next time you're passing through, pull over, fuel up, and grab a blizzard.
