If you want a serious sandwich with fresh meat, all the fixings this is your spot. I work near by so when hunger came a calling I was pleasantly surprised when the yelp crew pointed me to this coastal jem.
Being from back east I miss the NY deli scene, sammys named after their creators are always a nice touch, plus their hot sandwichs...like the hawaiian and the Chevy Andy....The Chris....your TLC with BLT...oh and you can combo it up with chips and a soda for a few more bills.

I was in the mood for a bite that was on the healthy side...but wanted it to taste like a delicious car wreck. Luck happened to be served upon such a platter that included a stellar grilled albacore tuna sanwiched between two whole wheet buns of glory! Perfectly cookked, and Im a stickler for how well someone can grill fish, great sauce, service with a smile to top it off! This little Habit is soon to be an obsession.
On the down side this place can be pretty busy, and the parking tends to be like nascar derby since they share parking lots with walgreens. Good Luck!

I do like that it's local and they do serve up a tasty burger, fresh, tasty I just didn't get that slap you in the mouth flavor I was expecting, especially since there was a lot of talk about how good it was. I'll definitely try it again....people say they're burrito is good too....we shall see.....until we meet again Rick!

I'm sad to say coming from the west coast Ive never had a Cuban sandwich...but after having the full Miami sando experience I'm in love. This food isn't for the faint of heart, make sure you allow yourself enough time to be able to unbutton, kick your feet up and relax afterward.
The fries are a must! They have their own spicy Cuban flare.
The Miami: pork, ham, salami, cheese with pickles add hot sauce and your on your way.
The service was great, The guy who works the counter is top notch I didn't catch his name but he's really nice.

Gin is the Mr. Nagasaki of socal sushi
It's definitely not your traditional Japanse sushi joint but I think thats what adds to the charm.These guys know how to make a decent sushi roll and have a samuri sense of humor, it's a great place to go for lunch or dinner with a few people...saki bombs should be mandatory.
Gin Advisory: get the cucumber salad to start and split the veggie tempura basket is good it comes with shrimp, sweet potato, string bean and a few other goodies...spicy tuna hand roll and maybe share a fire dragon roll or gin special

Being a NY'er finding good Italian is hard to come by, but I have to say ever since my first visit here a few years ago for a family get together has covinced me that there is hope...
It reminds me of an old school place you'd find in little italy, or in your italian grandmothers kitchen for sunday dinner...fun, loud, tons of black and white photos, and chianti candles for decor. They serve family style, great menu selection, service and top notch tiramasu.

When I first moved to Pasadena I found this little gem when I was driving down Colorado. If it wasnt for the snazy neon sign that says"open" I would have totally missed it since the place looks like an old wood cabin, the inside is just as clever, if you want to enjoy all the perks of a low key cafe complete with good food, artistic decor, mood music and hookah to boot without the run amok masses at starbucks then this is your perfect down with the man anti corp cafe.
Need I say more...
1.) $ cheap coffee and tea...both steapingly delish
2.) hookah flavors are plentiful and their on top of the coal
3.) feels like your at a kick back when your out on the patio..on occasion some local musicians stop in for an accoustic session

This place is set on the corner of an alleyway in Old Town the outside looks like those old school 50's diners...the build your own concept is on point, from the buns, veggies, protien, sauce and sides you create your own mouth watering masterpiece.
After you get you munch on you can head downstairs to the billards room complete with a full bar, and if you hit it on the right night they have karaoke and on their ladies night chickys play for free!

If you enjoy a witty and clever bartender then this is a fine spot to check out. The beer is good and the live bar music is plentiful, but sifice to say the knick knacks seem to be as random as the service and menu. They even have a toy train that rides above the bar...I've been here a enough to say I wouldn't go for food alone, maybe some quick aps or to meet up at the bar for a few drinks and laughs but thats about it

The service was great, the place was packed and our waitress on her game...I tried the spinach, feta quesadiller...not my finest pick, but the burritos my friends got looked pretty tasty from across the table.
..so yeah, on that note viva mas margaritas
