I love Dr. Kaufman! She's very warm and friendly and makes you feel comfortable from the getgo. Her clinic is a couple of blocks away from the metro station so it is very convenient. I haven't had any problem with their staff/receptionists so no complaints.

My husband and I have been meaning to eat at this place but never had a chance to until this weekend. I have read good reviews about this place so we were excited to check it out. I called around 12 nn on Saturday to make a reservation. I spoke to Tau who is the owner/manager/receptionist/cook. At first he told me they were completely booked for the night but said the 6 pm reservation has not been reconfirmed. He asked me to give him a call back after 30 mins to check whether he can squeeze us in or not. I called back and thankfully, the 6 pm reservation has not been reconfirmed so he gladly gave the spot for us. Since it was our first time to go there, I did not know that we have to give our orders by phone ahead of time. I had to check with my husband what he would like to eat and gave Tau a call back. Here's how our conversation went:

Me: I would like to order salmon curry, pla lad prik (rockfish with garlic chili sauce), panang tofu and shrimp pad thai (to go).

Taw: That is too much food for two people?

Me: Yeah, it's okay. We LOVE to eat :-).

LOL! At the back of my mind I was thinking "You don't know us. We CAN certainly EAT" lol. Tau did warn us that the rockfish is big. He also mentioned that he has not gone to the market yet so we know his ingredients for dinner will be fresh!

Thai Xing is a few blocks walk from our house so it was very convenient. We had a 5:45 pm reservation. We left our house at 5 pm so we had plenty of time to walk around the neighborhood. We walked up  U St. to pass the time but we still got to Thai X-ing a tad early. The place is not really a "restaurant". It's basically a small living room with 3 small tables. The whole place can only sit about 10-11 people at a time. From our table, we can see the kitchen and we were fascinated to see that some of the ingredients/spices that Tau uses are the exact same ones that we buy from the oriental store.  Tau had to bring out another small table for us since the food we ordered would not fit on our table :-). The food was great. They were very rich in flavor. Traditional Thai food cooking indeed. The rockfish was freaking huge but good nonetheless. Too bad I did not take any photos of the food. Eating at Thai Xing is like eating at somebody else's house. We like that we have a neighborhood Thai place that we can go to. We will definitely be back! Gotta try the mango sticky rice next time we come back.

We went here for lunch. It was my first time at Little Italy in Baltimore. We didn't know where to go so I google'd and found good reviews for this place. We weren't disappointed. As soon as we sat down, we spied the food that the couple next to us ordered. They looks so yummy. The service was really quick. We got calamari for appetizers. It was good. It wasn't heavily breaded which we liked. The marinara sauce was just right. I ordered lasagna for my entree and it was really good! It was a good portion too. I didn't finish the whole thing and had to ask for a to go box. The couple next to us got the garlic bread. It looked really good too but we didn't order it.

This is our favorite place to get crabs in the DC area. I like the fact that it's relatively hard to get to. We always get the all-you-can-eat crabs for ~$30. Their crabs are soo yummy & fresh! It's best to call ahead and make reservations before you come in. Specify whether you would like outside seating (under the shade or not). The place gets prety packed especially on weekends. The place is very casual and not "high end" but what can you expect from a crab place? We love this place and will definitely keep coming back!

I LOVE Cosi! I always get their artic mocha. Oh so good! It's my favorte mocha drink and I had been getting it for the past 10 years. I know when it's not prepared right. I can tell when they have new baristas and don't know how to make it right! I don't think twice caling them out especially when they forget to put chocolate syrup before they put the drink on the blender! My favorite sandwich is their pesto chicken! I love their discount card where you get a free drink/sandwich after you get 10 stamps. Check your receipts too. Sometimes it has a link for their online survey. If you complete it, they give you $2 off your next order!

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Chinatown (or whatever is left of DC Chinatown!!). Service is quick and food is cheap. They have $1 happy hour sushi which is a great deal! I LOVE their General Tso tofu!!

I like this place! It's across the street from my office building so it's convenient when I need to grab a take out for lunch. Service is quick so don't be turned off if you see a long line when you come in. I always order their chicken taco salad! One of the best I've tried in my opinion. I also like that Qdoba has a nutrition calculator on their website. I am a member of the gym across the street (Energy FItness) so I just show my gym ID and I get 50% off my total order :-).

I didn't know there's a Howl At The Moon in Baltimore! We live in DC and rarely go to Baltimore. My husband and I spent the weekend there and hung out at the Powerplant. It was FUN! I've never seen so many bachelorette parties in one place! It was fun watching people get fun of on stage :-). I'll definitely go back here again!

My husband took me here for my birthday dinner. Honestly, I haven't heard of this place so I was surprised by husband brought me here. We had a 6:30 pm reservation and we arrived on time. My husband said they told him the only reservation available was 6:30 OR 9:30 pm.   We got there and the place was empty! Okaay. Service was great and the servers were very nice but they don't act as professional compared to other high end restaurants. Our meal was good. Definitely not bad but not great either. We decided to pass on dessert since we were full. I was surprised when they brought out a chocolate cake with a "happy birthday" written on the plate with matching candle...a TRICK candle that is! It was kinda funny that they used a trick candle. I kept blowing and of course it would continue to light up. I had to ask the server to remove the candle so I can eat the cake. My husband never requested any birthday dessert. We had to give them another star because of that surprise. I was also pleasanelt surprised to know they give out cotton candy after dinner :-). My husband and I enjoyed that. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience. I've had better food though especially for the price that we paid.

Oh, my husband booked the reservation through Open Table. He was proud of himself coz he got 1,000 points for this reservation!

Roy's Restaurant

We went here last Saturday for my birthday dinner (my 3rd time at Roy's) and everything was SO ONO! It's definitely worth the $$. Roy's has got to be one of my favorite restaurants. The birthday greeting on our table was a nice touch. They also took our picture (which they do for other tables celebrating special occasions) and gave us a printed copy as a keepsake.

For starters, we got the miso butterfish and calamari. My husband can't stop raving about the butterfish. The calamari was cooked perfectly. The sauce was very good. I got the fish trio (butterfish, salon & tuna) for the entree. I LOVE the salmon & butterfish (better than my husband's butterfish in my opinion). Very flavorful! The tuna was also good but the wasabi sauce was too strong for me. My husband loved it though. I am not a big chocolate person but I would have to agree that the chocolate souffle was out of this world!!

One downside (which wasn't Roy's fault) was the valet parking! They mislabeled the valet ticket so they couldn't find our car. We waited for like forever! It would have been faster we parked and got our car ourselves!!
