We come here every time we're vacationing in the Mt. Rogers NRA. Good food, friendly service, nice outdoor seating.

Drowsy Poet

This is the real Drowsy Poet, great food and drinks. Try the Tomato Soup, it is the best! They only accept credit cards if you purchase $5 or more, but surely you can carry cash with you if all you want is a cup of coffee! This place is worth your patronage.
This was the first Drowsy Poet, but was sold a few years ago, and the quality has continually declined. Please--do yourself a favor, visit the real Drowsy Poet on Lakeside Drive, located in Given's Books.
It doesn't get any better than this for a book lover. Used books, new books, educational resources, and of course the ORIGINAL Drowsy Poet, with great food, coffee and sweet treats. These people are so friendly, and helpful.
Lynchburg classic. Great food, horrible coffee. The owner also owns The Bakery, so you can get fresh doughnuts here as well.

This is the place to come for quality food, good conversation, free wifi, and such a cute shop--one of a kind gifts, household items, plants, china...such variety! Large enough to host casual get-togethers, like a bridal shower. Coffee from a local Lynchburg roaster, yum!

Don't buy shoes from people who don't know how shoes are designed to work with your body--buy them from people who know the sport and the mechanics involved. These people are professional, and very friendly. Having the right shoe makes all the difference in the world! They also carry running clothes and other accessories, and sponsor races in town.
