My wife stopped in to grab a menu, and immediate picked me up from work and went there for dinner with the kids. They're menu looked GREAT! Everything you can think of in Asian Cuisine. Chinese, sushi hibachi, teriyaki and more.
I immediately thought I'd get the teriyaki chicken since I haven't had any since we moved from Seattle over a year ago. I love some good teriyaki, and Seattle had some great placed to get it.
I didn't try the teriyaki (but will next time I go). What I did get was the Mongolian Beef. SO FLAVORFUL! I really enjoyed the dish.
We got an appetizer of pot stickers to start, and they were clearly hand rolled and super delicious.
My wife got their Orange Chicken, and was nice enough to let me have a taste. Also amazing! You can really taste the orange flavor (unlike most places that serve it). There were even pieces of orange peel cooked in the sauce.
The girls split the Honey Sesame Chicken which was a big hit with them. Another perk was free refills on the drinks. Most good Chinese places in Seattle don't offer that for some reason.
I can't say enough good things about our first visit to Rice Box. We have found our new favorite place in the Shoals!

Le Beau's Coffe & Cream

I didn't have any coffee there, so this review is just based on our experience and the ice cream.
They have a nice sitting area roped off out in the main hallway of the mall, and have a row of several computers that you can use as well as WiFi.
Pretty cool for those who live near the mall and need a creative environment to work on your laptop from. Malls are great for inspiration and people watching.
I'll go there again for sure, and next time I'll try their coffee!

The awesome thing about this place is that is has a drive through. I know I've used the work awesome a bunch of times, but it truly is a great place. Highly recommended!

Trowbridge's Ice Cream and Sandwich Bar

Their known for their ice cream too and you can usually spot a familiar face or two. A word of caution though: if you go around noon, be prepared to wait for a table (especially if you have a group). It's a small place, and very popular for lunch. Also, they are cash only, so keep that in mind.

We walked up to the door and saw that they close at 6:00pm and the girl behind the counter already had everything shut down and cleaned up. No problem though, we understand that (however we wish they were open in the evenings).
We didn't want to trouble her with making us coffee since she was all cleaned up so we browsed that pastries and went home with several things to taste. The macaroons were outstanding. Everything in the window looked delicious.
We noticed that they only serve Higher Ground Organic Fair Trade coffee out of Birmingham, AL so that was major bonus points in our book! We haven't had a chance to get back there to sample their coffee, but we definitely will be back.

It's basically a cook to order burger place. You tell them what you want, go sit down and wait for them to bring it to you. Once you're done eating you go up and tell the cashier what you just ate and pay for it.
The food (I had a cheeseburger & fries) was really good actually, and everyone elses looked great too. Some of my co-workers had a BLT, a salad, and burgers.
Those of us who had been there before told stories of the local celebs that come through for some great food...the mayor of Florence for one. Anyhow, a nice place to go for a burger that isn't McDonald's and the prices aren't bad at Stagg's either.

As a guy, my hair is just one of those things that I can't justify spending lots of money on...but I still have to look presentable. Cost Cutters has great prices, and I leave there feeling like I just got a high quality haircut.
Oh, and they're really fast too! Highly recommend them!

They have a kids play area which was a huge hit for my daughter during the wait. A few days later, we got a thank you card in the mail from them. Wow!

I'm glad we ate there because the food was quite good. Aside from a few minor service problems (prices on check were higher than on menu, but gladly resolved) the atmosphere was really nice.
The place is really decorated nicely, and has an outdoor patio in the back. I ordered the Italian beef sandwich which came with a spicy au jus dipping sauce. Very tasty indeed! You get free bread as an appetizer, although you have to pay $2.50 to have anything to dip it in. We chose not to order any dipping sauces, and while the bread is good, it was dry.
My wife ordered a chicken salad croissant sandwich, only to find out that they were out of croissants. The waitress offered her just the chicken salad instead. That was fine with my wife, and she really enjoyed it. It came with fresh fruit and pasta salad as well.
The croissant sandwich was $8.50, and the chicken salad by itself was listed as $6.99 on the menu. When we got our bill, we were charged the $8.50 even though we didn't get the croissant. They gladly fixed the mistake, but charged us $7.99. Come to find out, the real price for the chicken salad was $7.99. The waitress said the menu just hadn't been changed.
I suggested they change their menus to reflect current priced BEFORE changing their computers. She was polite and modified our bill to reflect the $6.99 menu price.
I'm not complaining about that, it's an understandable oversight, and didn't lessen the great experience we had. I recommend Frank's Italian Restaurant anytime you're in Tuscumbia.
