The coffee is okay, but as a non-smoker I felt treated like a second class customer. The smoking section is in the back, as an after thought. Then, what looks like the owner, keeps proping the door open from the smoking section, so that there's plenty of smoke to creep in and settle into the non-smoking section. The waiters are not particularly friendly, either. In Vienna, I can easily find better coffee served by nicer people in a more pleasant surrounding....

This place is genuine Viennese without trying to be. The restaurant has an unpretentious air about it. The clientele is mostly local, yet the owner goes out of her way to make everyone feel "at home". The waiter is attentive and ensures you enjoy your meal, although that's easy to do when Franz serves delightful Austrian food. The prices are reasonable and so is the wine. I recommend a glass of the Gelbe Moskateller to start with, and then move on to a glass of the cuvee. If you have the time, I would also recommend having a dessert, which are home prepared and from old Austrian recipes.

Great for sipping coffee in UTC if you're tired of Starbucks, especially if you want your beverage to be accompanied by a really good pastry. The decor is inviting but like most coffee places, it could be a little bit cleaner...

I had the walnut stew with rice for lunch. When served rice, I was impressed that they included the sticky part found on the bottom of the pan. Normally you would only get the sticky bottom at home, and then have to fight your brothers and sisters for it. The walnut stew was a generous portion, yet I managed to eat all of it. I also enjoyed the grocery store while waiting for my lunch, although I am not really sure what you are supposed to make with "pussy willow water".

If you find yourself in Tierrasanta around lunch time, give this place a try. The staff were a little timid, but very sweet. The food was genuine Hawai'ian fare.. I really enjoyed the BBQ Chicken with rice. I am definitely going back...
