I always make it a point to eat here when in San Francisco. I knew Chef Russel from his Subculture Dining events and would follow him to the gates of Hell, knowing that before eternal damnation, my last supper at his hands would be marvelous and worth the price.

I've still never dined at a table at Lafitte, preferring to eat at the counter and be close to the action and sample whatever the magicians in the kitchen conjur up.

Cocktails are delicious. The design of the space is quite open and lovely and has wonderful airflow.

Overall, this place is tremendous

The owner of PB also owns Tillman's which is a favorite Manhattan spot of mine. What can I say about Permanent Brunch?

The have a side dish that's just bacon. "Artisanal Bacon." Like five different types of bacon. My review is five stars, one for each type of bacon. Seriously. This place is heaven.

Second, the bloody mary is DELICIOUS. I'm not a big fan of this drink in general, but they do it very very well.

I love the photos on the tiles and found the waitstaff to be very helpful. The place is a bit small, and I found it hard to get off the high benches. Could have been ergonomics. Could have been that I was weighed down by bacon.

This is a must-visit spot every time I roll to SF. The live music is a great addition, and I have sat here for hours and hours eating, drinking and chatting with friends.

My most fond memory, however, is that this is the place where I unlocked and jailbroke my iPhone. Yep, with my macbook and their wifi, nothing could stop me. It's so appropriate that I liberated my technology at "revolution" cafe.

Thanks yall.

Becoming one of my favorite spots. I've had both lunch and dinner. Neither was overcrowded which I find shocking since the food is so good. Nice flavors, small and cozy atmosphere. Great music in the background. Good service.

Not sure how they can keep their prices so low in this neighborhood.

Not sure I want to know.

Yelp, you saved my life. I needed to kill about four hours before my redeye flight back east, and this was the best place to be.

I grabbed a power-jack-accessible spot at the bar against the wall and ordered my first round.

"I've never been here before. Everyone says you're great. What should I have first? I'm gonna be here a while."

The barista didn't hesitate, "you need our Capuccinno"

When it arrived, i asked if I should add anything.

"Nooooo!" he said.

And he was right. This was absolutely, without a doubt, the BEST cup of coffee I had ever had.

The whole vibe of the place was comfortable, reminding me of places like the Hideout in Austin. The couches looked dangerously comfortable, so I avoided them. The crowd was kind. Dude next to me watched my laptop while I stepped out for an interview.

The most painful part of this place is its location in a landscape destroying strip mall at the intersection of a freeway and major roads, but that's Cali for you. Soccer moms gotta get good coffee too.

The salesfolk here are wonderful. They were very patient with me, and wouldn't let me leave until we could find something that fit my awkward sized feet. I love the ideals behind the brand, and these may be the most comfortable shoes I've every owned.

Warning. Some of their most stylish shoes are made only for children. Guess I should have some babies so they can rock the high fashion

I love these people. The food is made fresh. The bread they use is baked in Boston. The desert cookies come from Somerville (no jokes please; i'm just a fan of local food supplies).

Today was my first visit. I ordered the swordfish kebab, which was quite tasty. I also ordered bakalava. An hour after leaving, I realized I left the bakalava, went back, and the cashier smiled at me. "Go ahead and take one."

Good food made and sold by good folks. I'll be going back a lot more.
