I met Adam through networking and determined to use him the next time I bought a car, because of the company policy to donate to a charity of my choice, The Jewish Home for the Aging in Los Angeles. So when my Mini died in Dec 2011, Adam got the call. He helped me find a newer Honda than I was able to find on my own, and also helped me by picking up the Mini at the dealership and selling it for me. What a relief! I have already recommended his service to several people, and know in one case he saved a friend over a $1000 between the price of the car and what he got for his trade in.

Affordable Heating & Air Conditioning

Thank you, Brian. You came to do maintenance on my furnace, and discovered a problem with the air conditioning unit that the prior technician had not noticed. Thank you for doing such a great job cleaning out the system (the prior person had put in the wrong size filter, and had left plants growing out of the outside unit). Oh, and by the way, you also replaced the gas line to the furnace, and now I feel so much safer.

Cheesecake Therapy

Loved this little place. We were actually directed here by a lady at the Rheinlander Bakery close by, because my companion really wanted some cheesecake before she got on the plane to France land where they have lots of cheese, but have no clue what a cheesecake is. What I loved most was that we could get just the right portion: very small cupcake size. It was perfect with our coffee and tea. Yum, makes me long to be there again.

I needed a special dress for a special occasion, and yes, I was able to find it here, and the shoes to go with it. I fell in love with a purse they had, but it was as expensive as the dress and shoes combined, so I didn't get it, but I was so happy with my purchases, I would definitely go back.

Nails City

My companions and I had a great time and quick service at this nail salon. We had tried another one in the mall across the street and they couldn't fit us in. So we spotted Nail City, and they were able to accomodate all three of us right then, and do our mani/pedi's simultaneously. It was great. And the paint job wasn't bad either.

At this time of year, I usually go by the Samaritan Center and drop off some toiletries I have saved from traveling, warm clothes, and make a donation to help further their mission. The Samaritan Center serves the homeless in eastern Ventura County. They provide a variety of invaluable services including basic support, drug and alcohol counseling, employment preparedness, and other services.

Ran in here after working out, and was disappointed at the fact I couldn't find enough variety to actually be able to do my shopping. I ended up going to Safeway afterall. Too bad, as I really prefer to shop at places that purport to have more organic choices.

We loved this place. We were driving up to Estes Park, and stopped to get something to drink going and coming back. They are totally interested in recycling, and using earth friendly disposables, not to mention natural sodas, and good food and drink.

CPK is variable, but we lucked out here, and were very happy with our choices. I got half a Thai salad with double the edemame beans, and no chicken, and my companions had the BBQ Chicken Pizza, and the Waldorf Salad. We topped it off with some Malbec, and a Pinot Noir, and yum, we were in business. Our server Jair was very helpful, and did a nice job of taking care of us.
