This is such a cute dance studio! I came here for zumba with my sisters, Wil-son was the instructor. I loved how he incorporated capoeira and even threw in some MJ music to mix it up a bit. We were dripping with sweat - 800-1000 calories burned no doubt.

We come here whenever I need to make a lulu stop. Their french toast is delish and you can't go wrong with the frutti de mare. They have lunch specials for around $8.95 which includes soup or salad. The husband always goes with the gemelli. I enjoy Filippos!

I am at Just Dance Ballroom EVERY Friday for Zumba with Eduardo. He is the best Zumba teacher around! I love Just Dance - clean and spacious - state of the art!

Can't wait to try Salsa...but for now, it's all about Zumba.

The Westin Maui Resort & Spa

We were referred by our friends who own at the Westin Villas, so we had a really sweet deal. More like a steal, 6 days and rental car for $750! Because we're Starwood Preferred Guests we upgraded our room to an ocean view - 10th floor with our points. Our friends told the Westin we were celebrating our anniversary so they sent up a bottle of champagne. The view was amazing - my favorite time was watching the sunset from our balcony.

Like many have said, the Westin is perfect location wise. Right in the middle and next door to Whaler's Village. Plenty of restaurants - i loved the macadamia ice cream pie at Ono! Tropica was also perfect to watch sunset beach side.

We also did yoga for $12 and did a couples massage at the Heavenly Spa. Ladies, you have to ask for Paris! He was AMAZING!

We can't wait to come back to the Westin.

Va de Vi Bistro & Wine Bar

We have been here on several occasions, our most recent being a pre Valentines celebration 3/13. This place never disappoints. I always think small plates will leave me starved but it never does. I think they have an excellent tuna tartare which is a must have start. We also went with their special v-day seafood sampler which was just OK in my book. The duck confit was a yummy delight, I liked the steamed petite buns. A complete surprise were the 2 filipino inspired dishes which were our favorite - the seafood lumpia and the lechon. I am personally hot a fan of fatty lechon, but the way Va de Vi presented it was scrumptious! Bite sized lechon on sweet rice. Just thinking about it makes me want more now.

For drinks us ladies, we went with the lakeside lemonade and the fellas went with the wine flights. Like many have said, the wine flights are great! A good way to sample 3 complimentary wines.

We ended the evening with the guittard chocolate soufflé which takes 20 mins and sorbet to cleanse the pallet.

The bill came to $240 for 4 - not too bad for a chic dining experience in Walnut Creek.

I came here after both my sisters came out with amazing cuts by DARNELL! I live in SF, but whenever I come down to LA, i'm for sure coming back to Darnell for a style. The salon itself is very clean and pretty zen. Like I said, Darnell is AMAZING! I have very straight flat boring asian hair. He gave it movement, he managed to keep the length even though it seemed like he was cutting forever. In the end I had va va voom hair. If you are looking for SEXY hair go see Darnell! He rocks! I paid a little over $100 including tip -  well worth it!

Melt Lounge - CLOSED

I am too old to be paying a cover charge to go to a lounge with an overcrowded dance floor filled with young 20 somethings with 40+ something old dudes being wall flowers just staring. EWW EWW EWW!

With that said, it was my idea to check Melt out - I had a long work week and wanted to dance. So the venue itself isn't so bad - as you walk inside there is a bar, dj, sofas and chairs - more chill vibe, upstairs they played more house and it was crowded. I can't dance when my personal space is being violated. Downstairs we go... much better, even though most people were hanging out - we still proceeded to dance.

Shots ran $7 and were poured heavy. NICE!

This place is good for the college kids. Where do the young professionals go these days... someone please tell me!

We came here Friday 2/6 with another couple. I was impressed with the decor right when we walked in - very chic and they had live music which was a nice touch. The four of us went with the Rodizio for $44. I probably could have eaten the sides on their own... but came here specifically for the meat. My favorite was the Picanha - my eyes were bigger then my stomach because I got full right away. For dessert we had the raspberry-hibiscus and mango sorbet - that was perfect for cleansing our pallet after eating all that meat!

Come here hungry and ready to eat a lot of red meat. The bill for the four of us came close to $300 with drinks.  It was a unique experience.

We ate here last night with another couple. We got there at 7:30 and the place was full. Luckily, we only had to wait 5 minutes. I hadn't been here in years, the whole place was made over - very nice. We ordered the raw meat as an appetizer - it was quite tasty and not that raw - I enjoyed the lemon with it. The husband ate pho and I went with the chicken clay pot. I loved all the greens! I would come here again.
