The Field is the most authentic Irish Pub in California. The staff are over the top professional and courteous, prices are reasonable too. I hear the Fish & Chips is the best this side of the pond. If you visit Gaslamp you must stop in.
You get a lot for your money. I landed here via priceline's bidding system and managed to get away with $50 per night with no resort fees. This was for a large room on the second floor way in the back of the complex - they also have little casitas which I assume cost considerably more. SPR's property is over 40 acres with tons of amenities like spas, pools, tennis courts, gym, restaurants, bars, etc... Their airport shuttle was happy to give me a free ride to old town. Excellent staff all around.
My 2nd time here this year and as Hostel's go this is simply the best in San Diego. The prime gaslamp location is amazing. USA is clean, safe, and organized. They have a social lounge, internet room, laundry, and a kitchen. We opted for a private room but I would feel safe in a $25 bunk if I was traveling alone.

Bub's @ The Ballpark

A friend suggested Bub's and I'm glad she did. Bub's is a little off the well beaten path of gaslamp. It's worth the stroll if you like sports and a lively crowd. One drawback is that you cannot smoke on their patio and have to go to the street to light up.

Great spot for Karaoke on Sunday nights. Henry's is also one of the better Irish pubs in all of gaslamp with live entertainment or a DJ most nights. Also try "The Field" just south of here.
Cozy family run Italian restaurant right in downtown Prescott. The marinara sauce on my Chicken Parmesan was a little unusual with a somewhat bitter olive taste. They had trouble keeping up with the fresh bread as the place was packed. Anyway, I loved it overall and will be back next trip!
Typical college pizza joint with inexpensive yet passable pizza and subs (really really good bread tho). Nothing to see here folks, except maybe the freakishly tall chairs that jam your nutts right into the tables? WTF? Also, chill on the blinding florescent lights Winston!
Tee Pee is an old, out of date, time forgot, slice of Mexican food heaven. This is where you get the real stuff folks, not some fancy pants food network interpretation of a foie gras tamale flambe. Their salsa is perfect and the divey decor is muy authentica.
Grimaldi's Pizza has always been a hit with me, so when I discovered that they had gotten into the burger biz I had to try it. Yes, the coal-fired method gives the burger a unique charred taste that I will be back for. They also have one of the few independent soda machines I have ever seen.
This is one of the best old-school Mexican restaurants. Everything about the place is outstanding. Great sauce, cheese, beans, rice, salsa, enchiladas, tacos and the huge selection of Tequila. This is a legend of a Mexican restaurant in Phoenix.
