Come for the eye candy...um...actuall y I was told to say that by Mark (you conceited guy...you~!)...check this place out...ask for Mark or Sean...tell them you're from Yelp...they'll treat you right. They're the new owners of this cozy little establishment. They got a new chef and renovated the place.
There is no reason for me to give this place anything less then 5 stars. I mean...I've gotten lunch delivered to my work from here, I've gone to the soft opening for the neighborhood and dined in for lunch too. All 3 experiences were great. The delivery came fast while the food was still piping hot. I had the caprese panini with a side salad. It was very good.
Hehe...the soft opening was awesome. Lots of free wine, beer and appetizers. I'll just say...free booze is dangerous. I got to try a little bit of everything on the menu along with my many glasses of wine. Everything was wonderful...except for the fried calamari which during my third time trying this place out came back with a vengeance at my remark of it being oily and soggy during the soft opening (due to it being served buffet style).
During lunch, I tried the fried calamari again (served fresh) and it was absolutely fabulous. It was not your typical fried calamari...these were actual strips of calamari steaks...not those little tiny calamaris that most places use. It was lightly battered and crisp to perfection. I was glad I gave the calamari a second whirl. I also had the rigatoni bolognese which was delicious. I must say it was one of the best bolognese sauce I've ever tried. I think the secret is a touch of the truffle oil they put in. Mmmmm...
Service was fantastic. Our server was very delightful and attentive. I will probably be frequenting this place for lunch. I know Judy W. won't mind coming with me, ey Jude??
Edit 4/30/08: I had lunch here again yesterday and tried their calamari. Crispy outside, tender calamari inside, seasoned to perfection and served piping hot with marinara and a spicy mayo concoction. It was so good that it was finished within 10 minutes by 2 girls.

I've been here probably...3 times now.
I've decided it's a great place for coffee and dessert but not for a meal. Also, I don't really like places where I order at the counter. Yes...I'm kind of lazy like that.
As for the food...I would have to say this place has one of the worst New England Clam Chowder soup I've ever had. The worst. Gross. Italy's Best sandwich was just okay. Lobster Cobb was probably the best dish out of the three but still just okay. The red velvet cake was delicious and so was the coffee.
I like the fact that they use eco-friendly to-go supplies, and I love the decor. It's a cute date place. But just for dessert and coffee. Not to eat a meal.
"Do you love it~??"
