I'm really so disappointed to see all the negative reviews Pho Thanh Long has gotten since my initial review. I've been a loyal customer for two years now, and have never had a bad experience while dining here. I, personally, love the people that work here (my daughter loves the tall guy who takes the orders, as well as the young and old women who are at the register.. they may be mother/daughter).. they are all so friendly. I agree that the staff may seem unfriendly (totally not true), but it's not a 5 star restaurant, where you pay for top notch service. It's a place to get delicious comfort food, and I think that that is exactly what they are trying to provide you with:  quick and easy service for quick and easy food. You're paying 6 bucks for a whole meal. You wouldn't expect anything less, ordering a value meal from Mc Donald's, now would you?

With that said, I'm on my way to get some pho :)

I decided to check this place out because it's close to home. I've been on a bagel rampage for the past week and have been trying out different bagel establishment in the San Jose/Santa Clara area. Cramer's is clean and their bagel selection is impressive (I walked in on a Monday at around 10am, thinking all of the good bagels would be gone. Much to my delight, I was wrong!).  

As far as taste goes, the bagels were delicious, but nothing extraordinary. I will give it to them though... you really get your money's worth: Their bagels are humungous!

Service was decent - again, nothing bad, but nothing good as well.  I walked in and had four Vietnamese ladies staring me down the whole time. Weird.

After looking at all of the promising reviews on Yelp, I decided to give this place a try. As always, this place did not disappoint! Their breakfast bagels were just right - next time, I'll consider putting meat in it! I tried their bagels with cream cheese, too. Unfortunately, I came after a session at the gym, so I was left with very few bagel selections. I ended up with a regular bagel with chives cream cheese, which were both very tasty. Lucky for me, I pass City Bagels on my way to school, so I'll be able to have another chance to experiment and taste their bagel variety!

Wondering where you could possibly enjoy Filipino comfort food while chugging down beer galore? Well, look no further because Gerry's is definitely the place to be.

They were able to accommodate us (a party of 4 plus a high chair) without reservation on a busy night but it was a tight fit - so tight that we were barely able to fit all of our food on the table. The service was really slow but the server was nice and helpful when we were able to reach him.  The atmosphere was pretty loud too and I found myself screaming across the table to be heard and, when I wasn't, I was straining to hear.

But, the food was pretty good. But, before I tell you about the food, I just have to tell you that I saw the BIGGEST beer contraption I've ever seen! These two guys seated at the bar had this tall, 100oz. beer container that had a cute little spout! I was tempted to order one just to get one of those things on my table but I  knew that we couldn't possibly finish all that beer (or fit it on our cramped table), so I resisted.  

Anyway, we ordered:
*Adobo Shreds: Crispy. Delicious. Great with or without the vinegar sauce.
* Sizzling Spinach: Garlic-y. Wasn't bad. Wasn't anything to write home about.
* Crispy Beef Ribs: Soooooo good but pricey for two pieces at 13.99.
* Pork Sinigang: Meat had too much fat on it. I asked them to make it extra sour - they did and it was great! They used red onions, which I've never seen before, but it wasn't bad. I barely noticed.
* Halo Halo: Filled to the brim. Hard to mess up this dessert.
* Fried Ice Cream: Ice Cream? Yum. Fried anything? Yum.
* Bangos Sisig: I actually didn't try this dish but it was ordered. My friends seemed to like it.

I wasn't disappointed. I'll definitely be coming back again.

We just came back from a birthday party that was held at this particular LG. I've never heard of it before and I've been taking my daughter to Gymboree. Depending on which Gymboree location you go to, the teacher experience level varies - sometimes, NOT for the better. I'm sure LG works the same way but the two instructor hosts at the birthday party were AMAZING. They did a great job engaging the children, adjusting to the kids' needs, who varied in age, size and capability.  According to the LG Sunnyvale Yelp reviews, the instructors there are amazing as well. I need to check them out because Gymboree has been failing me.

I'm not sure if this location has any relation to the one off of Stevens Creek. If so, the one off of Stevens Creek is much better... then again, I haven't been to that one in years, so my memory could be faulty.

My father-in-law was flying out and we stopped by for a quick bite to eat.  We arrived just as they opened, so the place was empty.  The service was fast and efficient. The lunch menu was limited but very affordable.  They even list out menu items according to preparation time - very convenient for those on a lunch hour crunch time.

I would definitely consider coming back here; maybe I'll try dinner next time when the menu is more flavorful!

I've been to this establishment twice and have been quite impressed both times.  I am welcomed right away and am escorted to my table.  Drinks are served almost immediately soon after.  I've had the pleasure of trying their chicken & shitake mushroom soup, shrimp dumplings, garlic eggplant, shitake mushroom and bok choy, sweet and sour pork and spicy dry fried chicken (not all on one visit, of course!).  

The decor is very modern, the staff very inviting. Their prices are very affordable, especially for lunch.  For less than $10, you'll be able to get an appetizer, soup, rice and sizable entree!

Since moving to the Bay Area, I have never come close to finding chinese food as good as on the East coast.  It's just my luck that, three months before I move back, I finally find one.

I've only been to one other pumpkin patch in California - one in Gilroy, I wanna say - and that one is nothing compared to Lemos Farm.  

Yes, the traffic is TERRIBLE. I live in Santa Clara and it was a breeze the whole car ride up to Half Moon Bay. But, as soon as we exited HMB, we were stuck in traffic for an hour and a half... mind you, Lemos is no more than 5 miles from the exit. You immediately merge into one lane, which makes it a pain to get to where you need to be.  During Halloween season, be ready to get super friendly with the bumper in front and behind you!

The farm itself was amazing. They had so many things for the kids to do: pony rides, petting zoo, train rides, etc.  And although I didn't get to try any of the hot foods that they served, I was able to indulge and try their pumpkin ice cream, which was amazing; don't knock it 'til you try it! It was a bit crowded since we went two weeks before Halloween and HMB was having their annual Pumpkin Festival, but, overall, the experience wasn't too bad.

It's a great place to bring the family. Since my little one is still fairly young to do any of the interactive things, we were able to take great pictures, eat yummy ice cream and bring home 3 pumpkins for the great price of $9!

I don't know why this location only got an average of 3.5 stars. I thought this store was fabulous! Maybe it's because I'm used to the Northern California (San Jose) store, I don't know. But I walk in and am mesmerized by the cleanliness! The clothes aren't splattered about and both (left and right) shoes are in shoe BOXES! This is so unlike the SJ location, where they have all left shoes (or was it the right?) tossed in messy piles on racks and you are expected to fetch your other shoe at an enclosed "employees only" window.

I was looking for jeans and I notice that the correct sizes were in the correct places. And that goes for everything else.. even the kids' section! They had brands on the same display and not scattered about. It made it easy for even my husband to find things. He brought my attention to the CUTE paul frank set up they had (it's back in, you know!). Needless to say, we walked out of the door - wallets a bit lighter, bags in hand (with Paul Frank for the little one, of course!).

ALSO:  had my 1.5 year old with me and she had a "minor" accident that required cleaning assistance. A nice enough lady radio'ed in for help and they had the mess cleaned up in less than 5 minutes!

I really wish that I lived closer.

Came here for lunch. They had wonderful, outdoor seating. They had BBQ outside and a deli inside, both of which were amazing.  I wasn't able to buy any wine this time (because I spent my limit at another winery just a couple of hours before) but I LOVE their gamay rouge. A couple of my friends brought back a couple of bottles and I had a glass or two. I'm not a big fan of red but THIS wine was VERY, VERY light and tasty.

Great (eating) experience and I will definitely come back and visit V. Sattui again!
