As a comparison, the gym I go to has Direct TV. When it rains, blank screens abound. Not so when I'm back at my house. As a matter of fact, the only weather-related outage was Hurricane Ike.

Terrible service and not very good food. Plus this place is only open Mon-Fri. Too bad, it's got a cute old-timey look and could be a great local place.
My one & only experience. Went for breakfast about 9am. Ordered eggs ranchero. Twenty minutes after placing my order, I hadn't gotten my food. But the wait-staff were all sitting not 10 feet from me in the dining room with their plates full of food!
When my order did arrive, the eggs were cold and runny; the salsa tasted pretty bad; the potatoes had no taste.
Maybe it would be better if this place would go back to being used for the garden club sales

Had the mahi-mahi tacos (one of today's specials). I thought that they could have been much better if they were done simpler. Mahi is a good-tasting fish on its own and doesn't need to be artificially prettied up.
Unfortunately, the chef doesn't share my sentiment. The tacos were packed with grilled mahi (a big plus) and cabbage (plus) and also included lots of cheese (minus) and chilli beans (definite minus). The cheese and beans overpowered the mahi. At least the sauce was on the side so that I could opt-out, which I did when I tasted it. Not sure what the sauce was supposed to be, but it tasted way too heavily of mustard (on a fish taco???). None of the concoction was very spicy, which is also a minus in my book.
The side of rice was pleasant, though. Had just a hint of latin flavor, but not too strong.
One thing that I did notice before I left. I saw a neon sign on the wall advertising FCG as the Home of Oyster Nachos. At first I thought it might be some sort of a joke. But sure enough! There it was on the menu. Tortilla chips with fried oysters and nacho cheese just sounds absolutely abhorent to me.
I won't be in a rush to go back there. But if I do, don't even think of bringing Oyster Nachos anywhere near my table!

Had the Vito. Not overdone with sauces or 10 kinds of different meats and cheeses. Just a simple Italian sub that tastes great on its own. The chips were good (an actual full bag, too!). I'll be back! Next time I'll have them add the optional peppers.

Smashburger

Only one complaint. The Med-Center location is positively way tooooooo small. By 10mins after noon, you can't find a place to park. And that's not as much of a problem because by that time, there won't be anywhere for you to sit. I suppose, eating a smashburger and smashfries in my car is better than none at all.

Decor: I like the hubcaps and the diner feel to the place. It was clean & kept up.
Food: Since it was my first time there, I tried a basic cheeseburger with bacon. It was a so-so patty on a better than expected bun. Since I put more emphasis on the burger than the stuff around it, I'm giving the food a so-so/ok rating. But, it was at least good enough for me to go back when I really want a burger but don't want to fight the limited space & crowd at Smashburger. Giving the other reviewers the benefit of the doubt, next time I'll opt for one of the specialty burgers (but there ain't no way in hell I'll eat a burger with peanut butter on it!).
