Good portions, $$, decent breakfasty foods. It's loud in here, but perfect when you just want to be stuffed. Service is fast and friendly. We come here for Chicken Fried Steak and brunch food items like Eggs Benedict, which is a tad fancier than the mom and pop diner down the block. Never had to wait long, plus it's not worth a long wait, but it's clean and there's a tv if your game is on.

Donna needs a Penny-Farthing Fund.. Please to make donations!! It's just a measly $2500.. :) I promise I will look like a complete fool taking it out for a spin.

It felt like a candy store for grown ups cuz you know, we want cool old looking things. If they function, even better. The space was great, but there was a lot of bottle-necking, which made getting around a little hazardous.. I was scared I would knock things over, or ruin any of the items that were for sale, cuz it's probably, you break it, you buy it.. Yes, $920 for that spotlight.

The event was nicely spread out. On one end, there were delectable cupcakes from Mission Minis, red velvet with cream cheese frosting!! YOINK! My favorite! Suchada was turning people into putty with free massages. I ate a Butt King Taco from Le Truc, made of pork butt, while waiting in line for a massage. YUM, I LOVE BIG BUTTS. Those Butt Tacos were goooood.

Rye on the Road was making some mad men drinks. I had a White Russian, delicious, a Blue Hawaiian, super coconutty/milky, and a Moscow Mule.. or a Mule drink of some sort. They were also tasty enough that I didn't turn to Trumer.

Snap Fiesta was a hit. I loved that Gene gave us direction and ideas. We have some really fun photos. See my profile pics, and tell me it's not awesome! Although that leg thing was my idea.

Dobbs Ferry's meatball sandwich on a Hawaiian roll was delicious! I keep forgetting their name and calling them Dobby's Ferry.

Barbary Brix Caramels were a treat! I'm not a huge fan of caramels, but the chocolate one was Yum! I also had 3 helpings of The Pub's Buffalo Mac n Cheese.. Spicy and bleu cheesey and delicious. Super amazing bleu cheese breath!!!!

I had a blast! Thanks Ruggy/Jessica and Yelp! It was a nice ring in the new year celebration with good friends. We all decided on Tuesday luckily. Past years, were crazy lines/looking for people, so these last two years have been cozy and perfect!

Love this place! If Whole Foods had an affair with an Asian Market, they would make a Golden Veggie baby.

It's convenient, tidy, and affordable. They have a meat section in the back. Different types of flour, grains, nuts and rice. Some specialty items are pricier, but I'm just happy they have such a great assortment. I even bought my pumpkin for Halloween from here.

Sometimes, I just don't want to trek over the hill to Chinatown when I'm missing that one ingredient. Golden Veggie to the rescue!

I don't know why it took me 4 years to try it. Maybe cuz it looks like a cinnamon roll, and I don't care for cinnamon rolls..

Five stars.. two words... Morning Bun.

    update:
fragipane croissant - i was reluctant when i was offered a bite of the fragipane croissant.. fake almond flavor is not my thing. my tastebuds were pleasantly surprised.. and wow.. it makes other croissants look sad and uninviting. now, if it's too early for a hot pressed sandwich, i go for the fragipane. scrumdiddly-umptious !

    oh no she di-nt..

    yesh.. i did.. scrumfrickindiddly umptious..

    2 words: bread pudding..

my mouth waters at the thought of this wonderful little brunch spot.. yes, there is a line that crawls around the corner, but i can't say no to the croque monsieur or the hot pressed sandwiches.. crunchy, buttery, and oozing w/ cheese.. mmm cheese...  accompanied with a latte bowl.. yum.. and dont forget to save room for dessert.. we've never managed to avoid the dessert display.. even if stuffed to the brim :D every time i've been here, i've managed to find a table. if you're lucky and it's warm, grab a seat outside.. or walk to dolores park.

i've been mistaken for being a host once..  i just stood there with a confused look plastered to my face because it didn't cross my mind that wiping crumbs off the table would make me look like i worked there..

I've been here a handful of times, and have had dinner at the bar only, so I can't say anything about the dining area. However, each time that I have been here.. nothing has ever been mediocre.

For starters, I would highly recommend their Home Smoked Salmon, Oak Grilled Artichokes, or Spinach and Artichoke dip. They smoke their own salmon (to perfection) and it comes with some crostinis and a sort of aioli that is perfecttt with it. (Probably so bad for you, but so good, I can't stop myself from smothering the salmon with it, even though the salmon is sooo good on it's own..) The Oak Grilled Artichokes are also very delicious. If you want something more filling, than go with the Spinach and Artichoke dip. Tons of chips, tons of ooeygooey dip. Good stuff.

For an entree, If you want something light, but filling, go for the Thai Steak and Noodle Salad. Delicious! They give you tons of perfectly tender chunks of steak and avocado. The noodles are a nice soft noodle, and the mango lightens it up. Another light dish would be the Flying Tuna Platter. Perfectly seared tuna with mixed greens, chunks of avocado, and mango.

I've heard about their prime rib, but I've yet to try the actual dish. I did however try some prime rib from their Famous French Dip. Layers and layers of melt in your mouth prime rib on a lightly toasted roll, dipped in au jus.. Sooo good! If you're going for the serious meats, the Hawaiian Ribeye is very tasty option. I hear great things about their loaded Baked Potato also.. next time!!

Service is always excellent.

I don't stray too far on the wine list. I usually go for the white table wine, Conundrum. It's nice, light, and sweet. It's not too great with a red meat dish though. Ask Ben for a wine recommendation to go with your meal, or cozy up to a cocktail. I hear those sidecars are quite good...

Jessup Cellars

I suggested checking out Jessup Cellars for my coworker's birthday Napa trip, based on a friend's review.. hello Drue! This was the last stop of our Napa tour, and luckily we made last minute reservations. It was a nice change of pace to go to a tasting room instead of a full on vineyard. It's a cute storefront; the space was cozy and packed at 4:30pm, so we knew we were in for a treat. They had a table ready for us in a more private area away from the counter front area, and there was a nice spread of delicious cheeses, crackers, and nuts. We found out some of the cheeses were from TJ's. That's a win win in my book, when I find something I like, and it's easily accessible.

My favorites were the Sauv Blanc, Cab, and Manny's Blend. I ended up with two bottles, one of the Sauv Blanc, and Manny's Blend. They're not cheap, but they're not ridiculous either. Still you can easily spend way too much. I'd love to come back to restock.

Such sad news! :( Gold Dust Lounge is facing eviction. See more: http://insidescoopsf.s...

Cheap champagne, irish coffee or margaritas, local charm, live music, usually packed with tourists and natives alike, this bar has been a part of San Francisco for almost 80 years.

Update: Within the last two weeks, they raised the price by 50cent.. uh..blah.. now it's no longer average priced..

It's confusing to step into a chic looking modern/clean vietnamese restaurant. It's also confusing when you don't just get a grunt.. I expected it to be pricier just from that, but surprisingly they have normal prices and it's a 20 minute walk from house.. You did good..

The spicy delicious average priced bun bo hue and fresh spring rolls hit the spot. The pork blood was fresher than most places.. :O

Clean/good service/actually nice chic decor for a vietnamese restaurant.. Whaa??

Can't wait to try the rice plates and banh mi. Also Delivery and Wifi!

Kokkari Estiatorio

Going straight to it. I had very high expectations, and really wanted to love it..

Appetizer:
Lamb Meatballs - it was good, sauce was tasty, but not mindblowing.

Entree:
Lamb Shank - it was just ok for me. The outside was fatty/tender but it was way too dry inside. I was going to dip it in the sauce but the orzo/sauce was overly salty. It was like they forgot they added salt twice and salted three times kind of salty. :/

Lamb Chops - the bf got this. Needed a little more seasoning (compared to the lamb shank which had flavor and not the salty orzo/sauce. It was perfectly cooked; nice and tender. Definitely,  the winner of the three that we ordered.

Service: We sat at the bar, so everything was super speedy and we made no reservations.

Bar Seating: It was slightly annoying when other guests were hovering right behind our necks, trying to rush us out while we were paying the bill. Yes, it's the bar, but at a nice place like this, please respect the dining experience and wait. So I guess reservations for a table are a good idea.

I would come back to give Kokkari another shot, but I'm not going to get the lamb shanks again. I want to try the Duck Dolmathes special.. and probably more appetizers.

Great event! I got rid of my Movember Mustache via threading, waxed my brows, and the girls were nice and gentle. It was my first threading so it felt a bit odd, but turned out great.

I ate two helpings of delicious Pumpkin Kuhsterd w/ Graham Cracker Crumble.. so good. Thanks Frozen Kuhsterd!

Super thankers to Ruggy. I wasn't feeling too great by the time I got to the event, and was hoping my killer headache would go away on it's own, but alas I gave in to the Aleve, and felt mucho better. So much so, that I tried a glass of wine from Harrington.. good stuff, and the owner is really nice too.

Good seeing everyone get their treatments done.. I was TOTALLY not embarrassed that I was getting my mustache threaded in front of people.. while some looked.. and pointed.. and threatened to take pictures..
