Yeah! Burger

Meh! Burger is more like it.

Yes there were lines, but that's not a factor in this review, yes their was bad service, a nice bar back asked us if we wanted drinks while waiting in line. All I wanted, nay needed, was some water and lemon. It never showed up. Was asked later if I needed anything, a cup of ice was requested but it never showed up. I finally had to buy another drink in order to get a cup of ice for my warm vitamin water. Meh!

So I paid my $20 ticket to ride this rodeo - 1 bison burger on whole wheat bun with pimento cheese, I've had pimento cheese on the brain lately, grilled vidalia onions and cucumbers. Whatever, I was trying something new. A side of slaw and chili.

The burger was tiny, actually it was a slider. There is no way that was a 1/3lb. burger. It rivaled a Krystal in size probably larger but not by much. The cook waved some pimento cheese and onions by the burger and the 3 slices of cucumber were each the size of a quarter. WTF?! a $9 slider that was dry and had zero of the condiments I ordered. Or near as much. At least the bison tasted faintly of the critters for all 3 bites. What a ripoff.

The slaw was fresh but was overly mayo'd and that's it, nothing else in the slaw. Mayo and organic greens. If you like that, well there you go.

The chili was much better it actually had a flavor and kick. It did come with cheese and sour cream. I was pleasantly surprised by the chili, not enough to make want to plan a return visit.

Expensive burgers, small space for seating. GREAT BACON, nice and smoky. I like the option to build it yourself at the topping bar. I've had Five Guys, might as well mention them since they are a close comparison. Very similar burger. Fries may be better at 5G.

I've been driving by this place occasionally on the way home from work but was slightly dissuaded by the sketchy location by now I should know better that those types of places usually have the best food ( as well as the worst).

My brother and I swung by here saturday afternoon on the way to the hardware store for a quick lunch. The people are friendly, it's a small but very clean and cozy store. They even have a bar to eat at (no alcohol).

They have the standard hotdog, slawdog, chilidog, chilslawdogs etc. Fountain drinks, fries but they also have their own custom dogs such as the Sudogku with fresh house made slaw which has a slight sweet side, hoisin ginger and lime.  I also had the De La Casa which is a bacon wrapped dog with guacamole, cheese, sour cream, pico and jalapeno.

You can also get a bespoke dog with any of their ingredients. I am definitely gonna be back to try that and get a chicago dog or 2, my personal favorite.

Definitely recommended for a quick bite.

I love the MPC. The pizza has always been fresh and hot with ample toppings. Wings are always hot and juicy, I honestly haven't had a bad order.

I've only eaten in the restaurant once everything else has been deliverd which has been timely. It got so repetitive that the MPC phone answere dude and I would have the same conversation every time, same questions. same answers.

My favorite things on the menu are the wings with Inferno sauce. No this is some hot, hot stuff but oh so flavorful, I always order extra to have some for a week or two. I love it. The Blue salad with blue cheese,  yum! or the greek with esperanza.

We usually end up ordering The Works which is a great pizza but the white is really good as well.

I definitely recommend ordering or eating in. It's nice, casual and friendly everytime I drive by during the summer (5-6pm) the sidewalk is full of people.

I've driven by here numerous times. You know BBQ is gonna be done right when the smoker is billowing porky goodness street side.

I had the pulled pork sandwich, potato salad, cole slaw and brunswick stew. I probably wouldn't get the stew as an additional side, at $1.99 for what amounts to a couple spoons isn't a good value but it was tasty and sweet. I liked the potato salad and coleslaw, I like my slaw a little drier and with a taste of horseradish but this was good, not overly mayo'd and not that vinegar only abomination either. I really liked the potato salad as it had a subtle spice that I couldn't put my finger on, almost like cinnamon.

The pulled pork was right on the money, there were some rarer bits in the sandwich and it tasted like it could have used more smoke.  But a good sandwich. The sauce, served at the table was nothing to right home about.

I will definitely be back to try some ribs and brisket!

Lahore Grill

Based in a non de-script strip mall strewn with former and current latin based business that are casualties to the area and wedged next to a car dealership the entrance and surroundings almost beg you to carry on somewhere else. However if you stick it out the food is quick, great and reasonably priced.

If you're a fan of getting the stink eye by the waiters at Swapna then you'll be disappointed. The customer service was quick and friendly. Our  glasses and naan were replenished quickly.

The buffet isn't that grandiose but it's good. Mahkani chicken, mutton khorma, Lahori Chicken, the lentil curries, tandoori chicken, chutneys and vegetables were all fresh and hot. The shish kabo was really flavorful.

I'll definitely be back, I particularly like Indian as a buffet since I like so many different things it's hard to choose one thing. Next time I'll try the advice of the other yelpers and ask for some Tikka Masala.

Pacific Buffet Sushi and Grill

What's not to like? The place has loads of atmosphere from the twin snow white stallions cast in cement to the covered bridge and waterfall as you first walk through the door.

This is a sister restaurant to the Atlantic Buffet and Grill on Cobb parkway. The buffet was only $10.99 on a Sunday for lunch and just like Atlantic buffet the food was varied and quickly prepared and replaced. The sushi bar has some items I haven't seen in a proper sushi bar. A carve it yourself roast beef, plenty of grilled selections fresh seafood, although I still haven't had the fortitude to try the oysters even though we went right at noon, however they also have fresh boiled shirmp, crawfish, mussels and more.

The wait staff is quick and friendly. Overall a good cheap place to eat for good quality food I can't even imagine coming here after a night at the bar. The food line would be demolished.

Canvas Cafe & Bakery

The decor is a basic interior with the obvious canvas prints on the walls, otherwise it's generic chic. Now off the bat I'm not a fan of places that charge for coffee by the cup without offering refills so I was a little reserved, however the coffee is good and fairly reasonable at $1.79 for 20oz.

Pricing is fair with breakfast around $8 a person which includes a well made biscuit or toast and your choice of fruit or grits. I had the make your own omelet with Black Forest ham, swiss and balsamic onions, a biscuit and grits. My brother had the fritatta with cheese onions and bread squares (?!), fruit and toast.

Our order sat on the window for 5 minutes cooling down for delivery, we got a weird assortment of utensils and no bread or jam for the toast and biscuits. Now this place has been open for a couple years now so there's no reason for the small things to ruin a first time visit.

My omelet was done well and the biscuit was fairly good. The grits were a bit lumpy but the wait on the counter may have done them in. The frittata wasn't actually a frittata and was under done. The toast was good though.

Worth a second chance as the menu is a bit different, I would like to try the Georgia egg and biscuits with sausage gravy, it looked good from what I saw. Probably not worth an extended trip to visit but recommended for something slightly different. The pastries and cookies looked great but could use a little better lighting to showcase them.

Marietta Diner

This is my second time going here after living around the area for 10 years. The parking lot is always packed and so it seemed it would be inside, however Marietta Diner is deceptively spacious inside and you shouldn't have any trouble getting a seat immediately. the service is quick and prompt . The food, I've only had breakfast is adequate.

The coffee comes in mugs that are just too small requiring someone to be by your table to frequently for my tastes to top it off. Which I don't want to have to readjust my sweetener mix. But I digress. I

did get asked if I was finished twice within 30seconds, not kidding. The food overall was average, the table had all the requisite sugars, jellies, packaged syrup but only that vegetable butter spread.

What will really interest you is the expansive menu and humongous sized cakes and pies that greet you when you arrive.
