Decent prices and pretty good food for a chain. We did have what I would consider the rudest waitress ever but she was attentive so that helped.

Overall, it was good. Not something I would go out of the way for but if I'm in D-ville and in the mood for a steak, it would be a good option.

Had a YEAH Burger and onion rings.

First the good...
Onion rings were really good.
The Yeah sauce was good.

Yep, that's about it.

Now the not so good...
We went in and stood around the place where it says "order here" but stood and stood and stood. I made eye contact with two employees and again, stood and stood and stood. Finally, my partner went over and asked if anyone was ever going to come take our order.
Why do they say burgers are only served medium? Mine was a little closer to medium rare than medium. My partner's was medium well. A little consistency and the option for something slightly more done would have been good.
A little pricey for burgers but I guess that's what you get when everything is grass fed, but still, $25 for two people for burgers? That's a bit much.

Overall, I don't see what the big deal is. The burger was fine but not great like a lot of people seem to think. I'm still on the search for the best burger in ATL because this isn't it.

I would have given 3 stars if it weren't for having to wait around for someone to come take our order. It was not busy at all as it was only 5:30. They saw us walk in and we made eye contact. They had to know that we were there to eat and not just to stand around. It doesn't take 7 minutes to figure out what you want at a burger joint. I shouldn't have to keep trying to make eye contact and no one should have to walk over the bar and ask if someone can come help us.

High Museum of Art

I really don't know how to say this without sounding rude...the High is good for Atlanta.  I've been to museums all over the US, Canada and Europe and maybe I'm spoiled from living in DC and NYC where I had the chance to go to some of the greatest museums in the world whenever I wanted, but it was ok.

I went to the Picasso to Warhol exhibit and overall, it was ok. There were a variety of works from artists such as Jasper Johns, Matisse, Joan Miro and a host of others. It was setup nice. If you've been to the MoMA, you've seen everything they had here. I didn't mind the fact that I had seen everything because Jasper Johns is one of my favorites and I also like artists like Jackson Pollock and Picasso.

I liked the folk art section a lot. Not a lot of museums focus on this, but when Georgia is home to one of the most famous outsider artists of all time, Howard Finster, I guess you kind of have to.

The other sections I saw were ok. I didn't not get to see the whole museum as my daughter, who is 4, got a little antsy and we headed to the kid's section where they can play and then she was really done and we had to leave.

People talk about the architecture of the High and I'm not sure why. It's ok, but it's REALLY sterile and doesn't have a lot of personality.

Parking is RIDICULOUSLY priced at $15. There was not a lot of street parking as it was Sunday so lots of the churches had taken over the street parking. I know there are lots all around there that are cheaper (there is a lot next to 1230 w. peachtree that is $5) that you could use. We opted to pay the $15 because it was raining and we had no umbrellas, otherwise, my cheapskate self would have been hiking from around the corner.

If you check in with foursquare, be sure to check out the special which is $5 off an adult admissions. We had 3 adults who all checked in and we all got the deal.

Overall, it was fine. I might have given it 4 stars, but the price of parking is just obscene. I might also go with a friend with a members pass so that I can get in for free next time.

I have not had any bad flavor here, even flavors like coconut and jalapeno are amazing. I've even tried a sample of their corn flavor and while I wouldn't want a whole cone, it was still good.

I went here with some friends for trivia. Burger was just average. Fried pickles and onion rings were awesome though.

Kind of divey but the food is awesome. Had one of their famous tlayudas and while I wouldn't drive out of my way for one, if you happen to in the neighborhood, definitely try one.

Pho Dai Loi

I was in need of some pho and decided to try somewhere new.
Upon entering, 95% of the people in there were Vietnamese. You would think that would be a good sign for a pho place.  I'm not so sure about that.

The good:
I got it to to go and the container they put it in kept it super hot. I only live about 10 minutes away but other places I've tried, it's usually cold by the time I get home.
The portion of meat was ginormous (however, see the bad about this).
The rare steak was really good.

The bad:
I got the flank steak and the rare steak. They gave me a ton of the flank steak, way more than any place has ever given me. However, it was really fatty and had a little bit a weird taste, almost gamey.
They must put a TON of MSG in the broth. Holy crap. Give me some water stat!
The broth was ok, nothing to write home about.
The to go portion was about $1 more than other places I've gone.

Everyone in there had bubble tea. Maybe that's why everyone goes?

We have a retaining wall about 2.5 feet high and 30 feet long. The original wall was made out of railroad ties and after being up about 25ish years, termites and time had taken it's toll. We priced a lot of different kinds of walls and Southern Trillium quoted us a price for a stone wall that was comparable to some other places that gave us quotes for timber walls.

The demolition of the old wall went by pretty fast and they got rid of everything.  They put up the new wall in a day and a half and it is perfect.

I could not have asked for better.

When I lived in NYC, I was on the hunt for the perfect burger. I went to places all over Brooklyn and all over Manhattan to try and find it. Lots of people told me to head to Shake Shack. I went at an off time 3pm when it was about 25 outside but I still had to wait 40 minutes. And for what? Not the perfect burger! It was small, it was greasy, the bread was soggy, it was a little slimy and holy crap was it expensive (even by New York standards). Why people are waiting for 2 hours for this is beyond me.

Update - 12/26/2011
I hadn't been here in a while (2 years maybe) and it seems that everything on the menu that used to be really good has changed. The mulligatawny soup has big chunks of mushed up lentils. It wasn't pureed enough apparently. And the taste? It was just not quite right.

I ordered the Muglie Chicken which was always my go to there. The flavor was ok, but for some reason, it was really greasy and the sauce was lumpy. I tried my partner's tikka masala and it was not quite right either. We ordered garlic naan which was tasty, but or $4, didn't get much. In fact, the portion was equal in size to a large tortilla and cut in 4ths. Which for 3 people is not a lot. I seem to recall getting a lot more before. So not only have they changed their recipes for a lot of stuff, they've made portions smaller. I won't be going back here any time soon.

I had not been to Planet Bombay in almost 2 years. Since moving back to Atlanta, I've been meaning to go here, but haven't until last night.

It was just like I remembered only better because service has gotten better. We didn't have to wait forever for a waiter to come take care of us and that was a nice change.

We had our niece and one of her friends who had never had Indian food before (and had never been to L5P at all!!! Oh you poor OTP Henry county girl!!!!) so we got a variety of things for her to try.
We got Samosas which were perfect and we got a chick pea appetizer (I can't remember the name) that was the perfect blend of spices.
The teenagers for Chicken Tikka Masala and both of them devoured it along with the regular naan and fruit naan.
I got my usual Chicken Muglie and OMG. Chicken Muglie how I missed you! Perfection!!

I don't claim to be an expert on Indian cuisine but this is some tasty food!!
