MOCHA is a great organization that offers art classes to the community and "where learning is a work of art." How cool. :)

Our friends love their cartooning and printmaking classes. Class prices are affordable - a great service for children and their parents!

We agree with Kelly (below) - Lake Pharmacy does have the friendliest owner (and staff) in the world.

Seriously, Lake Pharmacy's atmosphere is one of genuine care, friendly gesture, and willingness to help.

Located at the edge of Chinatown, Lake Pharmacy gets two thumbs up from all of us at ODALC!

Gente Bella Salon Spa

We love Gente Bella Salon Spa!

The first thing you notice when walking in, is that the space is remarkably clean, spacious and inviting. Everything about Gente Bella is personalized and top notch. One of our board members goes to Chus (the owner) for pretty much all of her beauty needs.

Another cool thing to note: Chus often invites local artists to display and showcase their jewelry / art.

We look forward to seeing / visiting / working with Gente Bella Salon Spa soon!

Binh Minh Quan is a neighbor of ODALC (we are at 12th & Harrison)! Right around the corner, their lunch specials are priced great, and their service is always friendly... family atmosphere and solid bang for the buck! My favorite is the chicken and rice: simple, tasty, and priced right. And also, we love Oaklanders and Oakland small business. :)
