What I like about this place is the imaginative combinations that they come up with.  I have never been disappointed yet, and look forward to many happy returns.  Oh, I forgot to say that they make one of the best Margarita's around, so just that keeps me comming back.  It is good that the food rocks too, or I would end up drunky!  I don't mind that it is a little loud in here, it makes me sound calm!  lol!

Open...open...open back up soon for me please!  I have been doing the stairs here for years, and just wish it had not become so popular.
Me and my big mouth!  There is nothing like running up this sand dune or running down for that matter.  I will always hold dear that memory of years ago, comming here as a child, and running down that sand dune.  Now, when I am there, though for purely work out reasons, I find myself reliving moments from that little girl long ago, who had not idea of the abundant life that was about to unfold.  I need to get back here as soon as it reopens, but for the moment, I will have to cut down on the caloric intake.  Dang!

I had not been here to dine in quite some time, but have always loved the downstairs area that has a feeling of being in a rainforest.  I just rolled in here, late one evening, and sat at the bar, as to not dine alone.  It is often too late for many friends to join me, as I do not close my showroom until 8pm, so it is cool to sit at a bar like this, and order food.  I had the shrimp and crab quesadilla, which was so large, that i could not finish it, though I gave it my best shot.  They neither scrimped on the shrimp nor the crab, and the overall flavors were quite a delight.  The server was freindly and I was amazed to have my food within 5 minutes.  Wow.  Delicious!  Great job Pancho's, you are an icon of the South Bay.

The Cakes here look like sheer art to me!  Absolutely spectacular!  I did not have a cake buying occasion, but will go here for one, as soon as I do.  They remind me of the little props that I had for Barbie, as I played with her in her dream house!  Well, rarely, as I was such a tomboy...back on track.  Sorry.  At any rate, I broke down and had a vanilla cupcake which was so good, that I almost wished that I had not tried it, as now it has a permanent place in my mind, just beconning me to come in and have another one.  Dang!  Must hold that thought at bay, as it is a little dangerous for the girlish figure!  The voice on one shoulder is saying "Get Susie Cupcake", while the other one fights it, saying: "Once on the lips, twice on the hips!."  I love this place really, but will pretend that it does not exist.  SOME of the time!
You guys have done a spectacular job and the attention to detail amazes me.  There is somthing very retro going on here as well, and I feel as if my mom is going to show up in her apron at any moment.

We often miss public transportation if we are car drivers on a regular basis.  My car broke down recently, and I needed to get up to speed on how to get around.  This line connects with the blue line, and you can easily get to Long Beach Harbor, and Sevilla on Pine, which has one of the most amazing brunches in the South Bay, or you can take the bus into the harbor and visit Parkers Light House, which I would recommend as well.  If you take the Blue Line North, you can get to Olde Town Passadena which is a nice treat as well.  One other thing that many do not know, is that you can pick up the Beach Cities Transit from here, which has stops from El Segundo to the Riviera Village and back.  Pretty nice, for getting to the beach.  You can hook you bike on the front as well.  This is the transfer station for catching a bus into LAX, as well, so this little known metro/bus station is one to try out.  Why not ditch the car for a change, leave less of a carbon footprint, and pretend like you are on vacation?  I found it refreshing, and interesting, and did not mind the extra time, as I got to play silly games and read along the way.

This is a really comfortable place if you have out of town guests that you do not have room for.  Two of my girlfriends were staying here before a move and I had the opportunity to see the rooms and the facility.  There is free wifi in the rooms, which are decent, paddle tennis, a work out area, a computer in the lobby, a full breakfast, various snacks to vend, and the outdoor pool and jacuzzi are nice and clean.  I think I will stay here when i tent my house and pretend like I am on vacation.  You can walk to Manhattan Bread and Bagle as well as Rubios from here, and of course Target, so it is hard to go too far wrong with this place.  Of course you could choose that Swanky Boutique Hotel that we all know, but somehow this one seems much more down to Earth.

Since everyone else talks about the restaurant:  I am not going to.
What I will talk about is the bread.  You do not need to eat here to stop in and grab a fresh loaf of most likely the best Italian Bread that you have ever tasted in your life.  Hands down.  Just walk right in and make a right.  It does not matter how you are dressed.  Each loaf is crafted to such perfection, that only things that I can not talk about here come to mind as a comparison.  Sorry, was a little off track with this amazing person ....nevermind.  Just get a loaf of bread here.  Serve it with your favorite Italian Meal.  If it is not clearly the best bread that you have ever tasted in your life ~ tell me about it.  I trust that no emails will be forthcomming, and you will just have discovered the best bread that exists on this Earth...quite possibly.

Yipee!  El Sombrero Number One is about to reopen after the fatefull fire that left it leveled years ago.  There is no place in Manhattan Beach, that offers such an unpretentious atmosphere coupled with just plain fresh mexican food.  Thank you El Sombrero for not using Lard in your food.  Thank you for not turning my chips, rice and bean items into a meat product!  I am not saying that I do not love meat, comming from an EX-Vegitatian.  (yes an ex).  If I am eating meat, which I now love, and can not figure out how I did without, I will order the carne asada, or the shreded pork or beef consecuitvely.  The salsa just rocks, and I find myself ordering food to go, just for the ability to have extra salsa in the fridge.  The staff, is amazing, as are the peeps at the other location, and I know it will be amazing here.  I will be there on opening night, of course, and thank you for being an icon of the South Bay.  You will be a great success ~ of course!
Sorry #2:  I am back to the beach ~ where the crisp smell of the ocean wafs in the air.  You still rock ....however.  I promise that I will come and say hello!

They do a good job here.  I love the french toast with a most unexpected twist.  You just have got to try it.  If you pick up a tasty loaf of bread, they will slice it for you.  No more hacking away with distant hopes of getting uniform slices.  The sandwiches are good, and so is just about everything that I have ever had here.  Yep, I like this place ~ the vibe, the staff, the decor.  It is just fine with me, and I hope to meet the owner one day when I roll in.

Let me say:  I LOVE TARGET!  Everything you need is here...the household stuff, the tools, auto, stationary, health & beauty, OTC, and even Fem/Hy!  But the reason I am writing, is that they have recently upgraded the deli food!  Who knew?  Out, is the cardboard pizza masquerading as a frisbee, In, is some decent deli sandwiches, and a few other items that are actually edible!  Go figure!  So if you are shopping really hard and need to eat here, don't worry about botulism or cardboard ingestion.  Good job Target, for stepping it up a notch and getting a better grad of food for us that work up an appitite while in your store.  Hello Mike!  Your store looks good and you are one of the best managers in the chain.
