After hiking into BashBish Falls, were were starving, and wouldn't ya know, we came upon "Another Fork in the Road"...turns out there was actually a fork in the road but it was from the other direction. The moment we walked in the door, we guessed it was "A finer diner" as the sign proclaimed, but slowly it proved itself. A play area for kiddos, little signs on the tables telling how they use as much local food as possible, and the menu that was almost good enough to eat led us to the delicious breakfast that we'll probably not see the likes of in MO anytime soon. Crisp and clever decor, personable wait staff and OMG yummy breakfasts. Go here. Eat. Return. Hopefully this place will catch on. Take cash or a check, they don't do plastic.

Clean room, has been remodeled recently, connected to wifi easily and without hassle. WOW! the outside is mustard yellow! Receptionist was nice and easy to talk to. Easy to find, easy to drive in and out - watch the curb! WOW! the outside is mustard yellow! Nothing special, just a decent place to spend the night. Did I mention that the outside is MUSTARD YELLOW???

Haven't inked a contract yet, but so far this company is friendly, casual, businesslike and seems quite competent! Walked into the rental office/house and was greeted warmly by a big ol' guy wearing a golf shirt and doing about a dozen things - dealing with people coming in and out, tenants, repairmen and he reassured me that Hunter would be back very soon in time for our appointment. Hunter soon arrived and seemed very young but was competent and answered all our questions. People persons they are. Hope to have more dealings with them in the future when some apartments open up for us to see in person.

Order stuff you cannot pronounce. You will like it. Nice wait staff, great service (we actually were almost the only people in there, since it was 2 p.m. on a weekday...) They do have a great 3 course lunch special, imagine, being compelled to have baklava. I went in because I met one of the former wait staff who is now teaching yoga in NYC. I know that has nothing to do with the food, but the people are interesting, the service is good, the food is incredible, and it would be a great place to take a date.

Sandstone Gardens...looks like a great, big, estate kind of thing that was dropped in out of the sky from Europe somewhere. Inside there are a gazillion things you don't need but you covet them for feathering your nest.

But the best part is the Bistro, wonderful and varied sandwiches, soups and DESSERTS that are always delicious. Sometimes it takes a little while to get your food but you are (hopefully) enjoying your friends. Last time we went we were under a fan and asked to be moved, we were accommodated graciously. So you can enjoy your lunch, shop awhile and get a nice coffee drink (Starbucks!) and get down the road to wherever your nest is that you have purchased some amazing new bauble. They have nice silk flowers (and I'm not really a fan of silk flowers), garden statuary (no donkeys here!), fountains, furniture, mirrors, kitchen stuff, girly wallets and sandals, even! And some dishes! and smelly soap! and candles! You WILL find something you cannot live without. Now get that coffee and go home. Next time, remember to bring your mom for lunch.

Go! Go early! Go with friend, friends or alone! You may get to sit with a new friend. (they won't make you, they will ask if it's okay to share your table) This is girl food at its finest: marble rye for your sandwiches, mixed greens salads with unique dressings, flavored teas, flowers at the table, fun mismatched table and chairs in a parlor setting. If you have to wait for a table, you can look around at the flea market goodies. The food is mostly all made there, especially the cakes. You may want to order your cake before you order your lunch. The servers are always nice and knowledgeable about the food and desserts.

I've actually seen men in here but I always wonder what heinous transgression they have committed to have to eat girl food. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, it's just really a girl place to eat. Take your girlfriends.

Sorry, guys, you cannot come into the dressing room. There's even a sign. I don't know whether or not I'm actually qualified to review this great lingerie store because the only thing I've purchased here is BRAS! They are wonderful, wonderful people here. Like your favorite aunt or girlfriend, and they have magical powers. They are so good at this bra fitting thing and make you feel like you are wonderful. And, you don't even feel funny...well, maybe it takes a minute or two...but they look at the bra you are wearing, size up the girls to see where they are uncomfortable, and within 30 minutes you are walking out of the shop feeling like a million bucks and ready to take on the world because you are wearing a bra that FITS.

They do have lots, lots, lots of other things, naughty stuff and fancy nighties and I suppose actual sleepwear, but so far I've just indulged in the bras. It makes a big difference in your day if the girls are happy. They will be happy if you come here!

K, they were nice I suppose. But sometimes, can't you see through a salesperson and IT SEEMS LIKE THEY ARE TALKING IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE OMIGOSH THEY JUST WANT TO SELL YOU THIS CAR AND GET YOUR MONEY??? I DID get to test drive the car I wanted. I did NOT buy that car. I went to another dealer and found one I liked better. Pros: clean, nice, funny salesmen. Cons: tinge of desperation! random selling of features you have no interest in! often trying to sell you features you don't want or need! repeating these techy features even though the model you want to buy doesn't come with them! Sometimes even trying to sell you cars you don't have any interest in!

Go, if you have a thick skin. Go, if you must have a Prius. Be prepared to wait for it. Be prepared to only drive the vehicle with the salesperson in the car and around a prescribed route. I'm sure they are selling cars to a lot of people. Just not to me.

Excellent treatment, always. I couldn't find an Odyssey to test drive in 2000, they had one and let me drive it even though they knew I was going back to North Carolina to buy one. I've just brought home a new Civic Hybrid after driving several of their cars until I found the one I wanted. And while test driving, did I have a high-pressure salesman breathing down my neck and yakking it up? Noooo! Did the salesman insinuate that I needed a MAN there to buy me a car? Nooooo!

I've also (unfortunately) had to use their body shop facility, no complaints other than the time it takes to do a great job. Back here in wreck-land the folks are friendly and enjoy people. (just a little wacky, look out for plastic spiders in the potted plants!)  In the service department, the oil-change is quick and a great value, just be sure to call first and see if there's a lot of folks wanting the same. Service department people are professional and prompt. No passing the buck or getting messed with here. If there is a problem, they own up and get it taken care of right away! They do also call you after and make sure everything was okay! Never, never any dirt or smudges in your car after they've been in there working. Even the cashier is nice, prompt and professional.

This is one class act. Not only can this man take your picture and you will love it, you will love having it taken. AND he continues to contribute to the Springfield art community in many ways. He has a gift. He has wonderful , caring, professional, fun people working for him. AND he is all these things as well. If you have a wedding, a new kiddo or person in your family, a life transition coming up, get in here and get your picture taken. You will treasure what he can create. Just pray he stays in Springfield because he could go anywhere and work this kind of magic.
